The Hybrid Queen of All

Hungry

Loud howls shook the ground power radiating all around and then it was gone the forest falling silent. Suddenly the ground began to shake cracking all over clawed hands burst from the ground. Claws digging into the dirt as a figure slowly pulled itself from the dark depths of the ground.

“Seriously I am twenty-one in college and still a virgin. It’s pathetic, I thought I would have lost my virginity by now.” A tall lanky man talked loudly into his phone his free hand pushing his large round glasses up the bridge of his nose.

“Yes, I am walking home alone. It’s fine I do this all the time.” The man walked down a deserted street.

Not a soul in sight or any cars just the man. Looking up at the sky it was a full moon tonight. This moon was unlike any he had ever seen. It looked bigger than normal and appeared to be a bright red with a dark ring around it. It looked like something out of a horror movie.

“Do we have to go? I am not a fan of strip...” Stopping in his tracks just a head stood a disheveled woman. “Hey, Ger, can I call you back.?”

“Todd. Wait!” The voice shouted from the phone.

No longer paying attention he removed the phone from his ear hanging it up. He looked over at the woman while shoving his phone into his pocket. The woman looked like she had been through quite a night. Her dress was torn almost to shreds and covered in dirt. Her hair a dirty nest of knots.

“Are you okay?” Todd asked his hand stretched out to show he meant no harm.

“What year is it?”

“Excuse me?” Todd asked slowly walking towards her.

“What year is it?”

“It is 2021.” Stopping only few steps away from her he watched her eyebrows shoot up in what he could only describe as surprise. “Are you okay?”

“I have slept so long.” The woman looked up at the sky her hair falling back revealing her beautiful face. “I am so hungry.”

“I can get you some food.” He said pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose.

Todd couldn’t help but gawk at her. Even in her dirtied state she was gorgeous. Her skin a beautiful olive shade that seemed to glow. High cheek bones paired with full lips and gorgeous hazel eyes. She was stunning.

“So sweet you are.” She purred now looking at him. “There is no need to get me food when I already have you.” She said licking her lips.

Before he could say another, she lunged at him knocking him to the ground. Crashing to the ground his head smacked onto the cold pavement. Blinking he looked up to see the woman on top of him growling.

Her eyes from the pupil to the whites now all pitch black. Her lips curled up into a snarl showing off a mouthful of pointed teeth. It reminded him of a great white shark getting ready to devour its meal.

“So tasty. Do I eat you up or make you mine?” She purred her claws digging into his shoulders making him scream out in agony.

With inhuman speed she shot down sinking her teeth into his shoulder. More screams escaped his mouth. His hands fought back, his body thrashing around violently trying anything he could to be free of her.

“Hey! What’s going on here?” A rough voice shouted from behind the woman pulling her attention from the man.

Moving quickly, she shot up from his shoulder her razor-sharp teeth slightly tearing his skin as she sat up. Blood dripped down her mouth down her chin, her face no longer human but more of the monster she was.

Turning she looked behind her to see another man. This man was older. He looked massive in comparison to Todd. His shoulders broad his upper body straining against his plaid button up shirt.

“You look more like a meal then this pup.” She purred.

Standing up she turned away from Todd who laid frozen on the ground. Her focus now on the newcomer. Licking her lips, she began to stalk towards the older man.

BANG!

The sound rang in Todd’s ears, his eyes bulging in shock watching the woman drop to the ground.

“Hey kid. You alright?” The older man asked his gun still pointed at the woman.

“I... I think so.” Todd said looking over at the man.

“Good get out of here I will deal with this nut job.” The older man waved his one hand signaling for Todd to leave.

Using all the energy he had left he slowly got to his feet. Swaying from blood loss he gripped his neck to try to stop the bleeding. He needed to get to the nearest hospital fast once he was far away from her.

“Thank you.” The man said before sprinting down the road away from the monstrous woman who still laid on the ground.

Cocking his gun, the man in plaid slowly walked toward the woman. Reaching his leg out he gently nudged her body with his boot. The woman slightly moved from side to side, but nothing more. Letting out a sigh of relief he un-c****d his gun shoving it back in his gun holster on his hip.

Just as he was about to turn away something hit him knocking him to the ground. Turning himself onto his back his eyes widened in horror to see the woman now on top of him. Her lip peeled back in a snarl showing off her mouth full of bloodied razor-sharp fangs.

“Big mistake.” She hissed.

Shooting down in a blur she bit down on his neck and began thrashing around tearing into his skin blood spraying everywhere. Moving back into the darkness of the forest she dragged the body behind her. Moving in a blur she made her way to a cave.

“So tasty. Let us retreat into this cave for more privacy.” She purred licking her lips a low growl rising in her chest.

Licking blood of her fingers she looked down at the man a permanent look of horror on his face. A smirk curled at the corner of her lips looking back over at the cave she sauntered inside dragging the body along.

Margaret's POV



“Talia!” An older woman sprinted through the house her grayed wavy hair flowing behind her.

“What is it, Margaret?” A slender woman stood by a big bookcase a book resting in her hands. Looking up from her book her thick black glasses sliding down the bridge of her nose.

“She has risen.”

“What?” Shooting her head up she didn’t even realize the book dropping from her hands.

“The old one has risen.” Margaret said watching Talia’s face twist into a look of horror.

“We need to get the elders together; we also need to meet with the new Queen. There is only one reason she would have risen. She can feel Lilith and her power.” Talia removed her glasses pinching the bridge of her nose. “It won’t be long before she goes after her.”

“You must go to her Talia. I can wrangle the elders.”

“Are you sure?” Talia asked her eyebrows pinching with concern.

“Yes dear. I am not the young warrior I once was, I cannot make a trip like that, but you can.” Margaret said with a faint smile.

“Okay I will head out at dawn. Get the elders together we are going to need all the help we can get.” Talia closed the space between them grabbing Margaret into a tight hug. “Be careful mama.” Talia whispered pecking the older woman’s cheek before she scurried out of the room.

“You are too my dear girl.” Margaret whispered watching as her daughter rushed out of the room.

It had been centuries without any sort of conflict. Unlike the others of her kind, she had chosen to stop shifting and allow herself to begin to age. She had lived a long life and was ready for it to be over. Now with the old one back she would not be the warrior she once was. She was now unable to take her down like she had long ago.

With the help of Leonidas, they had destroyed the old one many centuries ago freeing the world of that monster. Now she knew that they hadn’t killed her only put her into some type of sleep until now. Lilith’s power has awoken her and her hunger for destruction. This world could not survive her again, they needed to find a way to put her down for good.

The new Queen may have killed Leonidas the first of the vampires, but she had no clue what she was about to face. The old one was much older than Leonidas and stronger. Leonidas was tame compared to her.

She had gained her strength in stealing the power of others, now with Lilith rising to Queen the old one would surely be headed her way. She would come for the Queen to kill her and take her power. To try to become the Queen of all once more. What was to come of Lilith their new Queen?
