Prologue
"You're a fool Dr. Liebert. You've got no concrete proof of the existence of parallel worlds." says a voice in the dimly lit room. Scientific equipment beeped and chirped as background noises.
An older man turned to his younger assistant, away from the screens and monitoring devices. "No! You're the fool Harris,” said a quivering older voice. "You've got to enter the darkness of your mind. I have seen the great light and understand from whence it came.
Dr. Liebert turned back to his screens and devices and ripped a piece of scrolled paper from it; studying it and marking it with circles. He continued, "My family has been touched by this light and it affects our very being. You must open your mind to the possibilities and wonders."
Harris pressed his questioning, "What are you talking about, Dr. Liebert? What darkness? What possibilities? What wonders?""
Dr. Harris reminisced, "It happened along the road many years ago and it infected my daughter. Now my grandson is embroiled in the actions too. We must stop the madness."
