After my experience in different strange places yesterday, I was visited by Alpha Clint who appeared to be displeased with the way my face was.
"You have an hour to talk with him," Madam Poof informed me before opening the door to my cell. "Go now."
I walked out of my cell and into a small room where there were two chairs and a table. Alpha Clint sat across from me on a chair and he looked at me curiously with love in his eyes.
"How have you been?" He asked.
"I'm okay," I answered as I took a seat.
"I am sorry that you have to go through all of this," he said to me slowly and with great caution. "I want you to know that I am still talking to my parents to see if there is a possibility for you to be set free."
I looked at him in his eyes, and before I knew what was happening, I laughed out loudly.
He sighed deeply when he realized how I was acting like. "You need to understand that you are a member of the Sacred Sun Pack and you have killed a lot of my people in the past."
"I know," I replied to him. "It's the price I pay for being a part of my pack."
There was silence between us for a while, but then he spoke again. "I want you to understand that some wolves will always hate wolves and everything that we represent in our pack is against what your people represent in your pack."
"That doesn't matter to me anymore because it has nothing to do with me," I told him. "I am a prisoner now."
"And what about me who is your mate?" He asked me sternly as he stared at me with a serious look on his face. "Don't you want to think about all I am doing to set you free?"
"I want to think about that," I said to him. "But, what I want to think about is what would happen to me if I got out of here?"
"You would never get out of here alive if I don't help you," he answered me without hesitation.
"Oh," I said with a disappointed tone in my voice. I couldn't deny that I wasn't surprised that he was telling me straight to my face that I was doomed without his help.
"What do you mean by 'oh'?" He asked me.
"Well, it means that I didn't expect to hear what you just said," I explained to him. "I am not sure what you are trying to say, but I can assure you that I wouldn't survive if I didn't have the kind of heart that I have."
"Oh, then I guess you are safe," he chuckled in a way that made me to be aware that he didn't believe what I was saying.
I stared at him for a moment. "Now wait a minute! Don't try to trick me into thinking that I am a fool."
"You are not a fool," he said to me in a kind manner. "You are just acting like someone who isn't aware of the situation that she has gotten herself into."
"I am very aware!" I snapped back at him with anger in my tone.
"Then why did you laugh out loud when I told you that you are doomed if I don't help you?" He asked me with a hint of laughter.
"Because I am not going to die in here if you don't help me, and besides that, it doesn't matter what you are trying to tell me right now."
"Why is that?" He asked me with a curious look on his face.
"Because I won't be here much longer anyway," I told him. "I will find a way out of here even if you don't help me."
"Did you think that I would let you escape without helping you?" He asked me with a smile.
"No," I said to him. "I didn't think that you would allow that."
"Good," he said to me with a kind expression. "Because I want to help you, but only after you give me something in return."
"What do you want from me?" I asked him.
"I want you to trust me, Sophia. I want you to believe in me."
I looked at him in an awkward way. I could tell that he meant every word he was saying to me. But, I didn't know why he felt a strong fear as if I was planning on betraying him.
"I believe in you already," I told him. "I have no reason to not trust you."
"Thank you," he smiled at me. "Now, I have a question for you. Do you want to be set free or do you want me to help you escape?"
I thought for a moment. "Both of those options sound good to me."
"Then you should choose the second option," he smiled. "And it's up to you to decide what to do once you are outside the walls of this place."
"Okay," I nodded. "I will do whatever I can to make that happen."
"I am so glad to hear that," he said. "I promise you that I will help you to escape."
"Thank you," I said to him.
Slowly, he held my hand and brought it closer to his. It felt warm to be held by him. His skin was smooth and soft, and I couldn't help the butterflies that were fluttering inside my stomach.
"I want to kiss you," he whispered softly to me.
"Yes!" I exclaimed with joy in my voice.
Alpha Clint grabbed my head and pulled me down to his level. Then, his lips touched mine gently. And as soon as he kissed me, I felt a wave of pleasure spreading throughout my entire body.
The kiss lasted for a couple of seconds, and then he pulled away from me. "I am sorry," he said to me. "I shouldn't have done that."
"Why?" I asked him with a confused expression on my face.
"Because it is f*******n," he replied.
"So, you feel guilty?" I asked him.
"No," he shook his head. "I am not feeling guilty. I just think that it is wrong for us to be doing this behind the walls."
"I agree with you," I nodded. "We should keep this between us."
"I don't mind if we do," he said to me. "I am fine with this."
"Are you sure?" I asked him in a questioning tone.
"I am sure," he nodded. "As long as you are okay with it."
"Of course I am okay with it," I said to him.
