Luna Kandace sits quietly in her usual rest spot enjoying the cool of the evening as Alpha Clint makes an appearance.
"Hello, son," She said.
"Hey Mom!" Clint replied.
"Come here right away. Sit beside me," She commanded her Son, pulling him by the hand to her side.
"You know your dad and I love you so much. We only want the best for you, that is why we're adamant about allowing you take a slave and not just a slave , an enemy to our pack, as a wife. Think about it. What kind of parents would we be if we let our only son and heir apparent to the throne to make such a devastating mistake that might ruin his life forever? No, that's not going to happen," Luna said.
Alpha Clint looked at her and bend his head downward in disappointment.
"I really hope you understand son. It's in your best interest that you do take a wife from our pack and together, you both would have a legendary reign," She chuckles.
"It's alright mum, I get it. Totally! I promise to think about it and besides, since no one is backing me up, I don't want to bite off more than I can chew on this one. I barely even know her," Clint replied.
"Good! Splendid! That's why you're my son. A true child of his parents," she said hugging him fondly.
"Well, speaking of making better decisions, the next mating Ceremony isn't too far away. I believe you'd do right by your parents and pack to let go of Sophia and look to selecting someone better. Someone whose future together with yours would depict a tomorrow we look forward to and cannot wait to see. My son, please I trust that you will make me and your dad proud. We've never really asked you for too much but this one time, we implore that you shift your focus from utopian dreams and adequately prepare for a future that lies ahead by choosing right," Luna said.
"I know it's never really an easy decision and it's one that has got you confused for sometime now but trust me when I say that patience always pays off. I've experienced it, your dad has too, You will too son. And you'd be glad you to paid heed to a piece of advice you took from you caring mum. My brother also suffered a similar problem. But I made my dad proud when I made the right choice in the long run. There really is nothing like doing the right thing my boy," She added
"Well, that's true mom. I really must agree with you on the Patience thing. Thanks for telling me all this, I really appreciate. I'll consider all you've said as I prepare for the next Mating Ceremony. I really love this girl and thought she would be the one to complete me. You know I'll be leading this pack soon and I'll be needing a befitting queen by my side," Clint said in an amusing manner.
"That's awesome! You indeed are a chip off the old block," Luna replied, laughing heartily.
"I have to go now Mom. There are some things I have to do. Thanks once again for the talk mom. I think I really needed it," Clint said as he walked away slowly.
"How I have lead my mother on to believe that I would let go of my one, true love. Impossible! Sophia is mine and mine forever. She has come to stay. I must think of a way to get her out of here at once," Clint added as he exited the premises.
Luna then smiled and closed her eyes. She breathed a sigh of relief as she laid back on where she was resting.
Some minutes later, Alpha Brian walks in and taps her fondly. She awakens and after talking with him about other things for a while, regales him with details about her talk with their son. She tells him everything that transpired and even mentioned how shocking his disposition was towards all she said.
Alpha Brian was stunned. He couldn't believe his ears. He was even hoping to talk to her about a way to resolve the issue before she brought this up. It excited him greatly.
"Intriguing! Unbelievable! What a day!" He said.
"So, our boy has finally agreed to rethink his interest in that Slave of a girl. This is really good news. It calls for a celebration Love. When I thought all efforts to convince him to forget that girl were futile, you tell me this. Wow! I can't wait for the next Mating Ceremony," Alpha Brian screamed excitedly.
"You know I have always found a good leader in my son and I'm positive that he will not disappoint us. I am a proud father and I believe that our son making the best pick of a wife is one very important step in exhibiting how much a leader he truly is. A good woman in your life guarantees good success. I am testimony of that saying," He added smiling and looking at his wife.
"A great feast awaits your majesty," Luna said. She hopped up and about , dancing around her husband. It was a joy they both couldn't contain.
"Yes, yes. We have to celebrate this. But what do we say when we are asked the reason for the celebration?" Alpha Brian asked.
"We would say that we are celebrating the gift of a wonderful son. Our son in whom we are well pleased. We could go on to talk about the Victory over the Sacred Sun Pack. It was a significant one. I believe that cuts it. What do you think love?" Luna said with a grin.
"Oh yes! It does. I have to reiterate that A good Woman in your life guarantees good success. Tell me what I would do without you, my lovely wife. I do hope my son finds someone as good as you during the next Mating Ceremony," Alpha Brian replied.
"With our blessings, he will. Let's go now," Luna uttered.

They both left the premises for their abode singing and dancing like a newly wedded couple.
