Now that Dugo was desperate, he couldn't remain calm anymore. In the presence of extreme power, he was completely powerless. The fear in his heart didn't want to leave him no matter how hard he tried to suppress it. “Please...” Dugo Zugath put his forehead on the ground as he begged in a low voice. As a slave, he naturally was accustomed to begging. And resorting to such an action wasn't too much of a disgrace for him. But then, even if he wasn't a slave, with his current strength, he wouldn't have any other choices other than to beg for mercy if he was faced against such a creature. But what Dugo was worrying about right now, was if that demon would be willing to let him go. With the demons' notorious character, Dugo Zugath felt that it was highly unlikely for them to do it. But since he was a Forsaken One, he had seen a slight ray of hope. If he could just affirm to the other party how useless he was, there might be a way to escape this danger. But then, it didn't change the fact that the chance of him to survive in such a situation was still extremely low. Tap. Tap. Tap. To his surprise, and amidst Dugo Zugath's desperate begging, he suddenly heard footsteps going further away. He slowly turned his head up in curiosity and sure enough, the demon that he thought would take his life was now leaving and ignoring him. What was going on now? Did that demon really let him live just like that? Was this for real? Dugo Zugath who still found it hard to believe what he had just seen got up from his knees as he blinked three times while watching the back of the demon that was leaving and going farther and farther away. He couldn't figure out why did the demon let him go. Was it because he was so useless as he had no energy within his body that was why the other party didn't even want to bother with him? Although it was kind of annoying, it was also a kind of relief that he, being a Forsaken One, saved him in such a situation. However, before Dugo Zugath could fully believe that he had survived because of the misfortune that was treated by everyone that he currently held, he found the demon suddenly halting its steps. And Dugo found his heart skipping a beat upon seeing it. Did this demon just give him false hope as it was now going to take his life? Oh God, please no! But then, before Dugo Zugath could overthink things and be buried by negative thoughts, he suddenly heard the demon saying a few words. “The Portia is in the middle of the forest. The guide is the wisps,” The demon's tone of voice was nonchalant. But it seemed to carry a sense of anticipation. It was as if it known from the start that Dugo Zugath was looking for the legendary flower and was expecting something big. The demon's eyes then flashed in faint luster as finally, a slight smile appeared on its lips. Whatever its thought was, only it could know. After a moment, the demon took another step forward. Its back went farther and farther away before disappearing behind the purple mist. Meanwhile, Dugo Zugath who heard such words from the demon was struck dumb. He watched the disappearing figure of the demon as he couldn't understand what in the world was that. Did that demon just give him directions? And that direction was actually to find the Portia? Wasn't something like this only appeared in dreams? Why was this happening to him now? Or was he that desperate to find the Portia as he had already lost his mind due to the intense fear he felt earlier and was now dreaming of such a situation? Or probably, the demon had already claimed his life as he was now on his way to the afterlife. This must be something like those in fantasies to fulfill one's dream before they went to the other side of the world. No! Dugo Zugath shook his head furiously as he bit his tongue afterward. And sure enough, this pain... This must be real! He really wasn't dreaming! But then again, he still couldn't believe for something like this to happen. At most, he was just hoping for the demon to let him go. But it appeared that he really was so lucky this time as not only did that demon let him go, it also gave him directions to find the Portia. Something like a priceless treasure that the world might go crazy to get. “The Portia is in the middle of the forest... The guide is the wisps,” Dugo Zugath repeated the words of the demon in a low voice. He tried to understand the meaning of these words as he wanted to see if there was some kind of deep meaning behind them. But it appeared that he was still lacking understanding as he didn't see anything from those words. Probably, he needed to experience something and triggered some kind of enlightenment to understand the deep meaning behind those words. As a direction to find the legendary flower, Dugo Zugath naturally believed firmly that it wasn't just a direction. It must have a deep meaning and could be a key in finding the Portia. At that moment, Dugo Zugath's pale face finally got a color and his body stopped shaking. The intense fear that he felt a while ago finally dispersed for good. It was replaced by delight as eventually, a smile slowly crept up on his lips. It might sound crazy but Dugo Zugath was thankful for that demon he met earlier. But then, his smile didn't last for too long when he suddenly smelled something horrible. He came back to reality as only then did he notice again the pile of corpses that were laying down in his surroundings. Lots of thoughts flooded Dugo Zugath's mind as he wore a serious expression gazing at those corpses. A moment later, he strode forward as he went in the direction of the corpses. On his way, his serious expression was naturally replaced by a slight smile. There was a hint of joy flickering in his eyes. “What a good harvest...” Dugo Zugath muttered in an excited tone. He naturally was eyeing for the treasures or possessions that these people had left behind after they left this world.
