Her dream Mate

Chapter 10

***** Lily's POV ****

As we drove, an awkward silence filled the car. The only sounds were from Jenny and Kayla whimpering. We went for what seemed like forever, but it was only about twenty minutes when we suddenly stopped. I felt the ropes around my wrists and ankles being untied and my blindfold removed. He then moved to Kayla, then Jenny.

Once we were untied and had our blindfolds removed, he turned to look at us" We are at the hospital," he said, looking me in the eye and reaching over and very lightly brushing my hand, sending tingles up my arm and calming me a little.

He walked into the hospital with us, and I could see the wary looks that Kayla and Jenny were giving him out of the corner of my eye while he tried to remain expressionless and look ahead. A young doctor approached us. He was good-looking with his dirty blonde hair that fell to his shoulders, and his eyes were light blue. They almost reminded me of a clear summer sky. They were that blue, he was tall, and he looked at least six feet to six feet three. He had broad shoulders and was wearing a form-fitting shirt that showed off the muscles in his chest, and his pants, although a little looser, clearly showed off his powerful legs.

I heard Kayla whisper, " Mate", and when I turned to look at her, she had her eyes fixed on him, and when I turned back to him, his eyes were fixed on her.

The man we were with cleared his throat to get his attention uncomfortable. He looked at him, pulled the doctor away, and spoke to him for a few minutes before he walked away, and we were taken into a room with two beds and a couple of uncomfortable-looking chairs. The walls were painted a sick green colour, and there was a small table beside each bed and shelves with various medical supplies.

Not long after we entered the room, the same doctor Kayla was making eyes at came back in, and he went straight to Kayla. " I'm Doctor Daniels," he told us, not taking his eyes off Kayla. Soon a nurse joined us. She had short blonde hair and blue/green eyes and was faster than me. It took me a minute to realize she was human and not a wolf.

She walked over to Jenny and started examining her. She had a few rope burns and was dehydrated, but other than that, she appeared in good health, then she came over to me and noted the few cuts that were still healing, rope burns and that I, too, was dehydrated, then she turned her attention to Kayla, and she said that she was the same as Jenny.

Soon our room was full of warriors, the Beta entered, and soon the Alpha joined us, and we started having questions thrown at us left right and centre, and they weren't giving us a chance to answer them.

" Alright", I cried out in frustration, and the room went quiet while everyone looked at me. " We will answer your questions. Just give us a chance before you fire more questions at us", I told them.

They all looked guilty, and they nodded in agreement.

The Alpha was the first one to speak this time. " Alright," he started, looking at us, " Miss Mathews, you were the first. Do you remember anything?"

Jenny shook her head. "The last thing I remember is going to bed and then nothing until that man got us out of there", she explained.

Kayla looked at her, "It's the same with me. What about you, Lily?' she asked, looking at me.

" I woke up just before he came in. Remember we were talking ", I answered her.

" Oh yeah," they said in unison, both still looking confused though

" hmmm" was the only sound that the Alpha made.

Doctor Daniels addressed the Alpha " I would like to keep them at least overnight and run a few tests."

Alpha Aidrian nodded. "Alright, I want to know as soon as the results come in."

" Yes Alpha" he said, giving a little bow and walking out of the room.

**** Unknown Male's POV *****

I waited outside the room where my mate was with the other two girls I had just rescued. Alpha told me to wait until they finished speaking with them before I went in.

But I knew it was going to be complicated. They would have so many questions that I couldn't answer, or at least not yet, but I just had to be with my mate.

I knew she was the last one taken and her name was Lily. She had the sweetest voice. I recalled hearing her voice for the first time in the car, and I fell even harder for her. I couldn't wait to hold her, and I would protect her. I vowed no one would ever hurt her again.

I was lost in thought when Alpha Aidrian walked out, not looking very happy, " What happened, Alpha," I asked him, concerned.

" They couldn't remember anything", was all he said, running his hand through his hair in agitation.

" We will get the answers soon," I told him confidently.

He nods as Beta Jacob walks out, and they leave without saying another word, but Beta Jacob looks back at me quizzically. I looked at him and watched as they reached the corner.

I took a deep breath, pushed the door open, walked into the room, and headed straight for Lily. She looked up at me with her big brown eyes, reached out and took both hands in my larger ones.

" How are you feeling?" I asked nervously, kicking myself at the lame question, but I wanted to hear her sweet voice again.

" Like I've been run over," She says with a little nervous chuckle, " Um, my name is Lily," she says, looking at me expectantly.

" I'm Jaxson," I told her, making her lie back on the bed as she looked exhausted. She grabbed my hand as I was about to pull away. " Please don't leave me", she whispered with her eyes shining with unshed tears.

" I'm not going anywhere," I tell her reassuringly, and she closes her eyes and falls asleep.

I leaned down and kissed the top of her head. Now I have to think of a way to keep her safe. I can't lose her, not now that I have finally found her.
