****Shiann's POV****
Aidrian was pacing around his office, barely looking at me. I knew I was wrong in going and not telling him, but in all fairness, I was trying to save my friend, who I was sure the guy who had stopped had taken her.
He stopped and looked at me. His eyes were black as his wolf was still in control. " What were you thinking?" he asked in a deadly quiet voice that still demanded an answer.
" I...I.I was worried that if I didn't go, I would miss my chance to get answers to what happened to Lily," I tried to explain.
" What you did..." he started running his hand through his hair, clearly agitated and trying to keep his cool. He took a deep breath and faced her again. "was put yourself in danger."
I could feel tears burning in my eyes, and I felt so foolish now. Casting my eyes to the floor, "I'm sorry", I said, barely in a whisper, but I knew he heard me.
His eyes clouded over, so I knew he was mind-linking someone.
Soon there was a knock on the door, and a girl who looked about 18 with waist-length platinum blonde hair, dark green eyes and olive skin entered. She looked at me. " I'm going to show you to your room, Luna," she said, waiting for me to follow her.
Rising, I turned back to Aidrian, " I will be leaving here at five in the morning for my shift tomorrow", I said and turned away.
" Fine, I will drive you to work". I turned back to him, and he c**ked an eyebrow, almost daring me to argue.
" Fine", is all I said as I walked out with my head held high. I may feel like s**t for what happened, but it didn't mean I would be a pushover. I learned my lesson on that front the hard way.
"By the way, my name is Shiann", I said, trying to converse with the girl. I didn't know her name. She glanced back at me but didn't say anything.
' um, OK', I thought as she led me up four flights of stairs and down a long hall until we stopped at a solid-looking wooden door, opened the door and motioned for me to enter OK. I looked at her hesitantly before entering. The room was huge. It had a king-sized bed with a green, gold and white comforter and an off-white couch by the far wall with a big TV screen facing it.
I whipped around to face the girl again, and she just stood there watching me. " Is this Aidrian's room?" I asked, meeting her eyes; she looked back at me " As a matter of fact, it is", she said, looking me up and down like she was judging me.
I had to get out of here. I couldn't stay there even if he claimed I was his mate, but I couldn't return downstairs. There were too many voices coming from there. I walked over to the window and looked down. Just my luck; there was someone down there too!
I couldn't make out their features, but how he looked up made me feel like he was watching me; I shook it off and tried to think.
I figured there must be a back way out, and I went to open the door, and wouldn't you know it, it was locked.
I turned around and banged my head on the door in frustration, and then I realized how I could get away from him and this crazy house.
******** unknown POV *******
I have loved her from the moment I saw her. I have tried talking to her many times, but she was always so busy, and that j**k of a boss wouldn't let her speak with the customers. It was like he had a crush on her, too, with the way he always watched her and put his filthy hands on her.
But I knew she was meant to be mine no matter what!
Things were going smoothly until the Alpha realized she was his destined mate. Now he won't let her out of his sight, what with the girls I took.
I returned to the cabin where they were being kept only to find them missing, but I knew who had taken them, and he would soon pay too!
I am sitting watching her in the pack house, and it looks like she is trying to get out. She may have, but she saw me, and I could see the frustration on her face, and those lips that I crave so severely are pursed, showing her agitation.
I left shortly after I saw her because I heard voices coming towards me, and I didn't want to get caught watching her, at least not yet.
