A Little Bit Of Your Love

1012 Words
The next two days were kind of weird. Camila kept trying to get me to approach Jennifer. I looked like a stalker following her so much. "Talk to her," Camila shouted into my ear. "Flirt with her maybe Miguel will get jealous." I rolled my eyes at all of Camila's suggestions. "Chill, I will use my own approach," I said to her. "You look like you want to kidnap her," she laughed. I followed Jennifer into the library and waited until she sat down. I went up to her and introduced myself. It went well but she was a bit cold. Her attitude was worse than mine. "It is so weird," Camila commented. "She used to be so nice and approachable. She dropped out of the drama club and joined the cheerleading squad. Otherwise, maybe we would have been better friends. I mean she was always super nice to me but then-." "You seriously need to finish your stories," I said. I waited until she got up to go look for another book and then I followed her down that aisle. "WHAT!" Jennifer snapped. "Nothing, I just wanted to get to know you," I said. "Why? You don't know me and I don't want to know you," she said rudely. "Well, I am new here and I need fri.en.ds," it was hard to get that last word out because I knew I was lying. "I don't want to be your friend," she said. I then noticed someone behind me so I turned around. "Hey, leave her alone," Miguel said angrily. "I was just talking to her," I said just as upset. "Well, she clearly doesn't want to talk to you," Miguel said. "Jennifer." "Both of you just leave me alone," Jennifer said and then stormed off. I looked at Miguel's face and he looked hurt by her words. He intentionally bumped into me and said "watch it." "Well that went well," Camila said as she pursed her lips. "Yeah, sure it did," I said sarcastically. "Maybe they aren't meant for each other." "They are, please I know they are," she pouted and god does it make me bend to her every whim when she does that. "So, help me please and I will give anything." "Anything?" I raised an eyebrow at her. "Yeah, it will be my other unfinished business or well like repaying a favor for helping me," she said innocently. "Fine," I said. "I want a bit of your love." Camila looked at me confused and I knew I threw her off guard. "What do you mean?" she said. "I want a bit of your love," I repeated. "You seem to have a lot it so I want some. Simply saying I want for you to love me like you love your family, friends, and Miguel even." "But-," I interrupted her. "You said anything and this is what I want. I have lived for sixteen years and have yet to experience love so why not experience it with a ghost, let's say it is just practice." "Practice?" I knew I had just confused her more. "Yeah, just a little bit of your love," I grinned. "A little bit," she was thinking about it and I wish I could read her thoughts I bet she was going crazy in that head of hers. "Okay, so I just have to show you love." "No, you have to love me," I answered back. "Love me, even if it is just a little bit." She stayed quiet but I knew she would do it. She was just that type of person. I have only known her for three days but she has been by my side for about 24hrs and she is easy to read. That day she held my hand all the way home. I have to be honest, I don't know why I asked her for a bit of her love. She is dead and it's not like I will get anything out of it. I think that is why she hesitated a bit but I don't care. Camila is the first person I have ever been this close with. She is easy to talk to and just the purest heart I have ever met. During the weekend, we spent the whole day watching movies and talking. I actually told her I used to play lacrosse and did competitive swimming at my old schools. She seemed impressed and I liked that. I told her what I liked or used to like doing. Which was mostly, watch action movies and play sports. She asked me why I stopped and I told her about my dad and how he left when I was thirteen. He just left one day and never came back even my mom was shocked and we stayed silent and never spoke about it. She just picked up all the pieces left behind and moved on. I told her that I looked up to my mom for that. She was strong and brave. I told her about Jamie and sometimes she would play with her. I found it strange how it seemed like Jamie could see her too but she never said anything or seemed concerned by her. Another week went by and one night while Camila and I watched a movie I fell asleep and when I woke up I noticed her by my side. I didn't know if ghosts slept or needed to sleep but she had her eyes closed and looked peaceful. She was like an angel. My angel. My angel of peace that made my life better, happier. I didn't know how much longer this was going to last but I knew I was already going to have a hard time letting go. Marco told me the October Fesitval was next week. He wanted me to go with him and his friends. I agreed but only because Camila wanted to go. She was excited to go and even thought it would be a good chance to get Miguel and Jennifer together. All I wanted was to spend more time with Camila.
