CHAPTER 12
“Soaring Hawk, you are needed outside. Hurry,” said Moon Walking in his head. Les jumped up and grabbed his pants and put them on. He stuck his feet in his boots and headed for the door.
“What is wrong?” asked Lily sitting up.
“I don’t know. Moon Walking told me I was needed outside. She said to hurry. You stay here with Lucky. I’ll be back as soon as I check it out,” he hurried out the door and down the stairs. Lily got up and pulled on a robe.
Les went out onto the porch and looked around. He saw what looked like a bundle of rags lying in the driveway. He saw the lights of Doug’s truck coming down the road. Les ran out and stood in the drive and threw his hands up so Doug would see him. Doug slammed on his brakes and got out of his truck.
