Chapter 16: Training

Tricia’s POV

  When I woke up, I realized that Alpha Jeremiah will be here in about an hour. I decided to shower and get ready for the day. I laid out my favorite nude crop top and a pair of my jean shorts along with my black and white converse. After getting dressed I woke up Justin and told him I was going downstairs to eat before it was time to see off the members that are going to the Shadow Warrior pack.

  “Hey Alpha Jeremiah, it’s good to see you again.” I said as I shook his hand and got a premonition of him betraying me. I decided to act as though everything was okay that way he can hurry up and get out of my land.

  “Hello Alpha Tricia, how have you been? I see you’ve been marked. Do I get to meet the lucky guy?” He asked about the same time that his mate, Katelynn, stepped out of the vehicle.

  “I’ve been well tank you for asking. Yes, I have been marked and I have become Luna instead of Alpha by the way.” I informed them.

  The exchanged shocked looks for a moment before Katelynn turned to me with a smile.

  “I’m very glad to hear it, what is going to happen to your pack now that you’re a Luna?” She asked.

  “My mate and I have joined our packs as one. I trust him with every fiber of my being.” I told her with a prideful smile.

  “Oh now love, don’t start gossiping about me now.” Justin said from behind me and I saw Jeremiah visibly stiffen.

  ‘We will talk about this later, and I will explain everything.’ I told Justin in our mate link.

  “Hello, I’m Alpha Richardson. Tricia’s mate.” Justin said introducing himself and holding his hand out to Jeremiah.

  “Hello there. I’m Alpha Jeremiah Peters of the Shadow Warrior pack, and this is my beautiful mate Katelynn.” Jeremiah said shaking Justin’s hand.

  The pack members that were leaving with them all came out of the pack house with their bags packed ready to go so I turned my attention to them and began to address them.

  “I just want you to know that you will always have a place among our pack. It has been wonderful having you all here. If any of you ever need anything, please do not hesitate you contact me.” I told them with a smile on my face. They all began to load up and it took about 30 minutes to get everything loaded and all the members into their vehicles.

  As soon as they were out of ear shot, I let out a very frustrated growl.

  “Now do you wanna talk about it?” Justin asked me.

  “Actually, I do, but I need to get my aunt Ashley over here as soon as possible. There are somethings I need to ask her and somethings that I need to figure out.” I told him then turn to the door of the pack house and went to my office with Justin hot on my trail.

  When I got to my office, I called Ashley and Taylor, and asked them both to come over straight away.

  “Justin what I am going to tell all of you is going to severely piss you off, so I need you to take a seat because I am going to come sit on your lap.” I told him and he did as I asked.

  Just then I hear a knock on the door.

  “Come in.” I said and in came Taylor and Ashley.

  “What’s going on, why do I get the feeling whatever it is your about to tell me is going to upset a lot of people?” Taylor asked as he poured himself a brandy then took a seat.

  “Jeremiah isn’t who he pretends to be. I know their plan and I know now that we can’t trust a word that comes out of his mouth, so the orphans who have family in his pack will not be going to them.” I said and then took a deep breath. “When I shook his hand, I got a premonition, I saw him and Kathrine working side by side. Then it flashed over to them trying to come in and take over our packs. I know exactly how he plans to do it.” I told them while taking out the newly made map of the pack lands.

  “So that’s why when I was getting out of the shower, I got a strong feeling of anger. I didn’t understand it, but I definitely do now.” Justin said, and I could tell that Tanner is just below the surface.

  “I got the vision of you telling us this, that’s why when you called, I was already on my way.” Ashley said.

  “I thought so. We need to get started on my training today, because if I can’t control this anger inside of me, I’m going to go up in flames.” I told them.

  “Alright, my Elemental friend should,” She started before the phone rang.

  “What is it?” I asked.

  “Alpha there is someone here that said they were requested by the witch Ashely.” The guard told me.

  “Let him in and make sure he gets to the pack house.” I told him then hung up.

  “He’s here?” Ashely asked.

  “Yes, he should be pulling up in a few minutes. Let’s go meet him at the door.” I told her standing up.

  ‘Silvia will you please take 5 cups of tea and a pot of coffee to my office along with our normal finger foods?’ I asked through the mind link.

  ‘Yes Luna.’ She said before I shut off the link.

  “Hello, and welcome to the Winter Red Wood pack. I am Alpha Justin Richards, and this is my mate Luna Tricia Smith.” Justin said while introducing both of us to Ashley’s friend.

  “Hello, my name is Colton Briggs. It’s nice to meet you both.” He said before hugging my aunt and shaking mine and Justin’s hands.

  “Well why don’t we go to my office. We have much to discuss.” I told him and Ashley shook her head in amusement and agreement.

  Once we are all in my office my aunt fills Colton in. I notice he stands around 5’11” almost 6’ and he had dark brown hair with the eyes to match. He has a darker tanned skin tone and is wearing blue jeans and a black button up shirt. If I didn’t have a mate, I would probably find him attracted but now that I do have my mate every other specimen of the male variety is just disgusting to me.

  “Now that your all caught up, we need to get started with my training and figure out some way to help me control my powers. Apparently, the fire portion of my Elemental powers are triggered with my emotions.” I told him.

  “Okay, I am going to need a big open space that has a pond or lake around it that way we aren’t starting any massive fires. Also, your mate will have to stay here, because he wont like my methods, but it is the quickest and most effective way to get your powers under control.” Colton said while Justin released a growl.

  “Absolutely not. I don’t know you so why would I trust you with my mate?” Justin said his canines starting to show through meaning Tanner is threatening to come out.

  “Justin look at me. I will be fine. And besides the vision I had yesterday, he was one of the people that was loyal enough to stand behind you.” I said as I smiled at Colton remembering the vision clearer than I had before.

  “Fine, but don’t shut off your mind link that way I can make sure your okay. That’s the only way that Tanner and I can assure ourselves that your safe.” He told me before kissing my forehead and walking out of the office.

  “If you will follow me, I will take you to the clearing. Its next to a vast lake so we should have plenty of water.” I told them both.

  Once we got to the clearing Colton provoked my anger and that sent flames throughout my body.

  “You need to focus your mind and think of something that makes you happy in order to put them out yourself.” He told me before my ears started ringing.

  The first thing that came to my mind was the day I met Justin. Colton was right it did extinguish the flames.

  “Wow, that was incredible. I’ve never seen someone catch on so fast.” He said as he clapped. Aunt Ashley even looked impressed.

  “Okay, now we need to get the hang of channeling the water and bending it to your will.” He said with a smirk.

  “Kind of like the tv show Avatar the last air bender?” I asked.

  “Yeah, exactly like that.” He said with his smirk disappearing from his face.

  By the end of the day I had fire and water down to a T and I can fully control those. After witch training I went to my wolf training and realized that we have some bad asses in our pack. I am very proud of my members and proud of how far they have come since losing my parents.
