“Oh, no, no,” I say, quickly, keeping my back to him. “I will manage.” My hands are fumbling quickly with the leather straps. He doesn’t respond.
“Thank you. “ I say just to fill the silence and to cover the fact that I don't know what I am doing.
“No problem. Alex says after a long pause. He sounds amused.
I am struggling with the dress, and the fact that he is only a few feet away from me does not help. I am getting more nervous by the minute, and because of the silence. I am halfway through panicking when Alex eventually speaks.
“It is meant to be tied with the help of another, “ his voice is still amused.
