I couldn't fall asleep, anxious about tomorrow, so I got up and went searching for water. There should be some in the kitchen. If I find where the kitchen is. I head downstairs, walking in the dark corridor, trying to remember what’s where. I manage well in the dark, but there's absolutely no light here, so I slow down, treading more carefully.
I take a turn, when suddenly someone grabs me. I didn’t sense or hear them at all. I could not resist, or even make a sound, I felt hands closing around me, immobilising me in a single, swift move. Before I know it, my back is pressed against the wall. My heart and mind are racing with fear. I squeeze my eyes shut, preparing for the worst. Then the hold relaxes.
