📖 THE SILENT BRIDE
Episode 3: The Diary
By Mira Bless 👑
> “When a woman forgets her past, she trusts what she sees. But what if the truth is hidden in pages stained with fear?”

🗝️ Scene 1: Behind the Door
The basement door creaked open — slowly, like it hadn’t been used in months. Maybe years.
Amara held her breath.
The air inside was thick. Dusty. Cold.
She stepped in, heart pounding in her chest. The staircase creaked under her bare feet. One step. Two. Three...
Then she saw it.
A small mattress on the floor. A worn teddy bear. A cup of water — half full.
The room wasn’t empty.
It had been lived in.
Her hands trembled. “Who was here…?”
Suddenly—footsteps upstairs. Jason.
She rushed back up and locked the door from the inside, leaving no trace behind.
She barely made it to bed before he entered the room.
“You okay?” Jason asked.
“Yeah,” she whispered. “Just a little tired.”
He smiled. “I made you tea. It'll help you sleep.”
She took it, but didn’t drink it.
Not anymore.

📚 Scene 2: The Attic Clue
The next morning, while Jason was in the garden making a call, Amara climbed into the attic. She felt pulled — as if something was calling her.
Old trunks. Dust. Spider webs.
Then she found a box labeled:
> “M. Blake – Private.”
Inside, she uncovered:
A child’s drawing of two identical girls.
A broken necklace with a heart charm.
And beneath it all… a black leather diary.
The cover was scratched, like someone had tried to destroy it.
She opened it carefully.
> “Day 1. Jason says I’m safe here. But I don’t feel safe. I feel trapped.”
“Day 7. He keeps calling me Amara, even though I told him I’m Maya. He’s sick. I want to leave.”
“Day 14. I hear a child crying at night. Jason says I’m imagining it. But I know what I heard.”
“Day 30. If you’re reading this… please help me. I’m not Amara. He killed her.”
Amara dropped the diary. Her knees buckled.
"I'm not Amara...?"
Then who was she?

👀 Scene 3: Jason’s Lie Unfolds
Later that evening, Jason came in with groceries and a strange smile.
"Guess who called today? Olivia. She wants to visit."
“Olivia?” Amara asked.
“Yeah. My… cousin. You’ll like her.”
His eyes shifted slightly — like he was lying. Again.
But Amara nodded.
She had a plan now.
She had the diary.
She had to act fast.

🕵️♀️ Scene 4: Detective Rena’s Discovery
Detective Rena sat at her desk, scanning facial recognition results. Two names came up:
Amara Blake – Deceased.
Maya Blake – Missing.
Identical twins.
> “So which one is living in that mansion now?” she whispered.
Then her phone rang.
An anonymous male voice said:
> “Check the basement. Before it’s too late.”
Then the line cut.

💔 Scene 5: The Truth Cracks
That night, Amara couldn’t sleep.
She opened the diary again. Pages near the end were smeared in tears and ink.
> “He shows me photos of someone who looks like me… he says that’s who I am now.”
“I don’t know who I am anymore.”
“But I won’t forget… he took my life.”
Then… a photo fell out.
Amara and Maya. Identical. Laughing.
Suddenly, the bathroom light flicked on.
Jason was standing in the doorway.
“You’ve been busy, haven’t you?” he said coldly.
Her blood turned to ice.
“What do you mean?”
He stepped forward, holding the diary.
“You shouldn’t have read this.”
She backed away, heart thumping.
“I’m just trying to understand who I am—”
Jason interrupted. “You are Amara. My wife. That’s all you need to know.”

🩸 FINAL SCENE: A Hidden Letter
When Jason left, locking the door behind him, Amara curled up in fear.
Then she noticed something tucked into the back of the diary:
> A letter.
Addressed to:
"Detective Rena Cole — If I go missing."
Amara opened it and began to cry.
> The letter was signed: Maya Blake.
> “He’s dangerous. He took my sister from me. I fear I’ll be next.”
