Chapter 3The first thing Geoffrey became aware of when he emerged from the pain of the hangover was shame. Deep, deep shame. He only had a vague memory of what happened that morning, but he remembered enough to know that he had been a real prick. Puking his guts out in front of Nash, and then quitting. He had actually said the words I quit. He’d never intended to. But he’d opened his mouth, and the words spilled from his lips, and he couldn’t call them back.
