“Headmaster was pretty scary.”
“Yeah, I thought he was a cool guy but what happened earlier was absolutely disturbing.”
“You’re right because of that I think I might not avoid Headmaster for a while.”
“You should too”
“So that’s what the students think about me” I said as I keep my cool
I took a couple of deep breaths then I went back to my office. I closed the curtains and started packing some of my things. I slowly opened the door and scanned the entire area. No one was around so I immediately took the opportunity to leave the campus. I took a good long look at the academy, I even shed tears.
“Farewell” my last words before leaving.
I continued my quest in search for elemental fragments. Along the way I heard a group shouting “Mayor!” from a distance. I took a closer look, but I cannot picture out who they are because it was too dark.
“Mayor!” they repeatedly shouted.
I got alarmed, feels like something terrible happened. Using my lightning-fast speed, I traveled to their location.
“Mayor, Riverade is under attack and our men are requesting for back-up” A city guard informed.
I was completely clueless.
“If you don’t mind me asking where is this Riverade?” I asked.
“It is the city in the East.”
I looked up to the sky and the saw the moon. I immediately went on my way.
“Mayor! Where are you going?” They shouted.
I was too far away to hear them. I burst right straight to that city. As I approach the city, I saw a battalion of soldiers defending the city’s entrance. I summed three of my Divine Beast so stop the upcoming hoard and I swoop down and helped them.
“Mayor you’re here” Draxx’s assassin seems glad to see me.
“Just focus” I said.
I summoned my g*n and started striking down the raging demons. All was going fine until several Class A started attacking the civilians.
“Men the civilians” I ordered.
Then one of the knights of Riverade started rushing to the Class A demons. I got alarmed because he does not know what he is up against with, so I left my station and restrained him. Using ice magic, I partially freeze his legs.
“What are you doing? Who don’t know anything what you are up against with?” I spoke.
“Just leave me alone I know what my capabilities are” He said as he struggles to move.
“There is no point in struggling no strength can match my elemental powers” I said mocking him.
“Please I need to protect this city” He begged.
I was moved, feels like he really wants to take part in defending this city. I immediately dispel the ice magic I casted upon him. As soon as the spell was completely disappeared, he pulled out his sword and rush towards the Class A demons. I kept a close look at him in case something went wrong.
“Hey! What’s your name” I shouted.
“Lancelot Fearmoth” He said as he ran towards the Class A demon
“He really is a fool” I said with a huge smile in my face.
I shot down several demons while observing Lancelot. It seems he is skilled in using a sword, I might have midjudge him a bit. My men are having a hard time striking a single Class A, but Lancelot is not breaking a sweat in facing two Class A at once while assisting civilians to safety.
An hour and a half passed, and the battle was dissolved. The civilians are all safe, no one got killed, but the market was completely wrecked. I saw Lancelot down to the bumps, looks like he is not happy at all. I slowly approached him.
“Hey if you need something you can ask for it anytime” I said as I place my hand in his shoulder.
“You got skills kid. Tell me how you learned to handle a sword like that?” I asked curiously.
He giggled at first.
“Well, I have been practicing.”
“Laters I still need to report this to the Mayor” He said as he turns his back at me.
He then waves goodbye and went on his way.
“What he is just a subordinate? What a waste of a good talent” I said
“Mayor” Someone said that quickly grabbed my attention.
“Yes” I said as I turn around in search for you said that.
I saw a group of my men approaching me and they all look exhausted.
“Mayor three of our men are injured and one of them is in critical condition.”
I whistled as loud as I can to grab the attention of my Divine Beast. Moments later all of them arrived.
“Batis I want you to heal all the injured but pamper my men first okay” I ordered.
“The rest of you scan the entire city and look for more strays” I ordered.
Now that is settled, I looked around in search for Lancelot. I tried talking to some locals but no luck. I scanned the entire city and I saw him talking to someone, but I cannot picture out the whole scene because the windowpane is quite dirty. I tried entering the building, but the guards will not let me, so I made an alibi.
“I am here to see Lancelot” I said
“You are you and what do you want with Sir Lancelot?” A guard asked.
“I am Chris Sterling the mayor of Metro” I said
“Oh, the mayor”
“I am so sorry sir” The guard was so ashamed.
“Right this way sir. Sir Lancelot is currently reporting to the mayor” a guard said as he led the way upstairs.
“Have a seat sir while I go check on them” He said as he knocks on the door and slowly enter.
A moment past and someone opened the door.
“Sir the mayor wants to talk to you” the guard informed.
I entered the room, and the guard went back to his station.
“Have a sit” the mayor offered.
I sat down and tried to loosen up a bit
