“You there stop!” Someone shouted from up above
“f**k!” I said as I saw several guards running towards me
I was outnumbered so I used my lightning-fast speed to get through
“See yeah” I teased before exiting the area
Just to make sure I slowly looked outside to avoid being noticed. As I saw no one was around I went on my way. In a nearby alley, I rested for a while
“That Lancelot is one tough cookie” I said
“Tell me about it” someone said
I was startled
“Who goes there?” I asked as I look where the sound came from
Then a hobo went out of hiding
“Tell me are who are you?” I asked
“I am known as Crazy Dave”
“Now who are you? You look like an outsider” he said as he inspects me from head to foot
“Well I am an outsider”
“By the way Dave have you seen one of these around?” I asked him as I show the bag full of elemental fragments
“Are those what I think they are?” he said as he slowly reaches his hand
I moved the bag away
“Why have you so many? Tell me where you got those?” He begged on his knees
“Stand-up” I said as I hid the bag
“Ciao” I said as I went on my way
I look a place to crash but the area was filled with roaming guards
“Looks like they are in full alert now” I said with a long sigh
Using my gear, I flew away from my current location and scan the area for a place to rest. On top of a building, I lay down and relaxed for a while. I looked up to the sky started thinking
“How are the others doing? I hope they are doing fine”
“If I could only go back in time and undo my mess” I said as I watch the stars twinkle
Somehow I felt lonely
“So this is the feeling of being all alone”
“Awfully chilly” I said as I started to shiver
I used my fire magic to warm me up and make a campfire. Somehow that lessen the cold and I felt warm and cozy. Then I heard metal rumbling. I immediately extinguish the fire and hide. A group of men went to check the area using a flashlight.
I kept a close look at them
“Look over there” one of the men said as he points at the edge
Then the rest started to scatter and searched the area. My space is too small for me to hide and they are getting near. Then one of them noticed my things all over the place
“Guys look” He said
“Looks like someone just been here. I can tell because of the smoke coming from that thing” other men said
Then he got suspicious and look at my hiding spot. He gave a signal to follow him. They started creeping towards me. I peeked, and they are getting close
“Crap!” I shouted in my head
Then I heard strong footsteps and the light from the flashlight immediately disappeared.
As the light went out. I stayed on full alert because they might sneak up on me. It suddenly turned quiet. Something is wrong I am sure about it. I slowly peeked, and they are all nowhere to be seen. I grabbed my bag and went on my way, along the way I noticed no one was around.
“Strange? A few minutes ago, this place was awfully crowded but now it looks like a ghost town” I said as I check some stalls.
Then I felt changes in the wind pattern. I manage to evade a bullet. I summoned my g*n and fired back. Using my lightning-fast speed, I flew right straight to the sniper.
“What are you doing?” I asked nicely while I hold his shoulder.
Then the bullet finally pierces through his head. I then threw his lifeless body.
“Pathetic sniper couldn’t kill his target with one shot” I said as look at his body fall to the ground.
Then I sensed a demon, and it seems it is not alone. I quickly summoned my g*n and put my guard up.
“Come on babies papa’s waiting” I said as I search for the stray demons.
In a dark alley my senses got stronger and stronger every step. Then something moved from the shadows. Looks like they are about to strike.
“That’s right show yourselves” I said as I continued walking.
As I nearly reach the end of the ally someone charges in and he is quick. His attacks are precise and in rapid succession.
“Who are you? You don’t look like a demon” I said.
He remained silent and continued attacking me until the stray demons decided to join the fight. I focused more on the demons, rather than my current opponent.
“We shall continue this later” I said as I battle a hoard of demons.
He hid his sword and went on his way.
“The next time we meet better not hold back” He said.
I summoned Nimbus to wrap things up. It did not take too long before we finished off the entire hoard. Then I heard heavy footsteps heading towards us
“Nimbus let’s go” I said as I mount it.
We immediately left the area then the guy earlier started ambushing me. I was caught off guard and he nearly landed a hit on me. He manages to strike down Nimbus instead.
“Oh crap!” I said as we start to plummet to the ground.
I summoned a sword using a random elemental fragment. The moment I wield the sword my opponent’s attacks started to change like he was bothered. I made that as my advantage, and I was able to stab his left shoulder. I got carried away, so I struck the ground hard.
“Ah! My back” I said as I immediately stood up.
Then I saw a group of men heading towards us
“Mayor!” They shouted.
“What!” I raised my voice.
“Mayor!” they shouted once more.
Then the guy started attacking me once again
“You never learn huh!”
“You think with that kind of skill you can defeat me? How pathetic, even a student in my academy can beat the likes of you” I mocked.
As we continued clashing Lancelot joined in
