"Are you going to mirror the battlefield?" Aaron asked.
"Supposedly"
"Why?" I asked.
"If you put it that way the hiding spots will be easily seen"
"No doubt assassins and powerful sorcerers can take down anyone you are hiding" Aaron said.
The rest seems to agree.
"In that case we can make two castles with numerous rooms, two towers one for the sorcerers and one for the marksmen and the field will have this rock formation to provide cover."
"Yeah, and make your event capture the flag" Sora said.
"I think we have a problem."
"As the event goes on the other groups can diverse a plan and learn all the routes" Draxx said.
"I can handle that."
"Surely the battlefield will be wrecked in every battle."
"I will just patch it up and make minor adjustments" I said with a creepy grin in my face."
"Okay time to finalize our layout" Aaron said.
We sum up all the ideas then finalize the layout. Afterwards we all take a break. We went to the cafeteria to have a bite.
Most of the teams are there. It seems they are planning their tactics. We all sat down in our table.
"Look at the students”.
"They all seemed busy" Aaron said.
"Especially the Elites" Draxx said
"Who do you think would win?" Dr Edwin asked
"If you ask me my daughter will surely win" Aaron seems complacent.
"That's right Duke she manages to recruit our best sorcerer" Commander said.
"Are a white uniform means he uses a Light Fragment? I asked.
"Yes"
"But earlier, I only saw the one's with lightning and fire unleashed tremendous amount of power" Draxx said.
"That's true Draxx but you didn't consider other factors" Dr Edwin said
"Yeah, sure they may have great power, but maybe other sorcerers are more skilled compared to them" Sora said.
"Okay you win”.
"Geez, you don't have to rub it in”.
We carefully observed every group inside the cafeteria and mostly of the high rank Strategist pick a lightning and fire elemental.
The Elites chooses an earth elemental.
"Guys look at the Elites."
"Noticed something?" I asked.
The others took a closer look.
"I see"
"They have chosen an earth elemental compared to the others which pick lightning or fire" Aaron said.
"They have also chosen the best earth sorcerer" Commander said.
"Maybe they are increasing their defenses."
"They do have the best marksman" Draxx said.
"Pretty clever" I said as I rub my chin.
"With the proper manipulation of the battlefield. Surely they can win the fight" I said.
"Don't put your hopes too high Chris”.
"The battle hasn't started yet" Sora said.
We are all finished eating and time for the afternoon classes. We just let them practice while we sit back and relax. The day ended and we all call it a day.
I woke up earlier than usual. Using different fragments, I made the battlefield we all talked about. It was four castles with numerous rooms and two towers. The rest of the field is covered with durable rock formation. Above are floating platforms and the battlefield has these useful materials like bullets and medical kits?
I was getting exhausted until the Commander came and helped me finishing the battlefield.
One hour before the event we successfully finished everything. We rested and took a couple of deep breaths.
"Good morning you two"
"Care for some breakfast?" Aaron asked.
"You've woke up early" the Commander seemed surprised.
"Of course,"
"I told Chris that I will help out at the canteen."
"Look at me now”.
Aaron is wearing a girly apron.
We giggled as soon as we noticed.
"What's up with that apron you are wearing" I teased.
"Excuse me!"
"But my daughter lends me this cute apron" Aaron said.
"Too bad it doesn't look cute on you" the Commander teased.
We both laughed so hard. Then we say the students coming out of their rooms. They are all shocked upon seeing the battlefield field.
I tried concealing it using an earth barrier.
They all went down to the cafeteria and had their breakfast. I gave them time to prepare and have a final meeting before I officially start the event.
The time has come, and I thought everyone is prepared. The students that are not participating are all seated. I gave my opening speech, gave a few guidelines then officially started the event.
The four teams that are going to battle are choose by lottery. The first matched are the Elites versus some other groups.
"Looks like a great opening match" I said.
All seems to agree.
They have placed their flags to their chosen location and with my signal the battle started.
A wall of terrain immediately rose covering the perimeter of the Elite's castle and there is only one way in or out and it is guarded by Maximus.
"Tough start from the Elite Strategist" Draxx said
The Elite Assassin takes the levitating platforms while the Elite Knight takes the ground on infiltrating the enemies' bases. The Elite Marksman is concealed and ready to fire.
The two Elite successful infiltrated a castle. Then their opponents tried stopping them, but the Knight handled all of them. The Assassin started searching for the flag.
It did not take too long to capture one flag then both went to the neighboring castle. They saw the two remaining teams facing against each other.
They separated and went to the two castles. Looks like no one is guarding the castles so it was easy for them to secure the win.
I struck lightning to let them know that the match is already set.
"That was quick" Sora said.
The other teams are intimidated in the performance of the Elites, but some teams do not mind it at all.
The next match is Samantha's team versus some other teams. As soon as they placed their flags, I gave the signal.
A wall of terrain covered one castle and Samantha's castle is covered with a barrier of light.
Samantha, the tank, and assassin made their move towards the neighboring castle. As soon as they reached the enemies' territory guns were fired but it did not slow them down.
They reached the castle entrance, and the other group are their guarding it. A fire ball is heading straight at them, but Samantha blocked the attack.
