Chapter 36

However, it might seem like a lot was falling down, a lot trambling in its place and at the moment Alpha Arth seemed very happy, very at peace and very together at the moment. More over, as if nothing had changed for him. Arth, on the other hand, was making his way out fo his large castle. And now to his land and towards his people. Seeing how most of them were minding their own business, going about the evening as the sun was slowly setting, and he noticed how certain people were not walking towards him or his direction. Some even afraid of them were afraid of the power that he consumed. Most of them were scared to the point that they couldn't even look at him in the eye and that is the kind of power he had always wanted. Something he is living with right now as well. The man felt himself very strong here. How ever as of now, he was stronger than ever. Although right at that moment his Beta walked out, right at his beta walked up to him from a different part of the pack, seeing as he was happier than ever . "Is everything okay? you look nothing like yourself?" He said, trying to tease someone who was almost as if his brother. "I have many reasons to be happy."Arth let out, and for that one moment he actually believed the Alpha as well. Seems to me that you finally have the queen under your control," He asked, as both of them stood by a large cliff, and waterfalls that went on both sides. The heavy noise of the water was extremely relaxing to Arth. And it was also the same time something that Arth loved. "What is that made you so happy ?" He asked. "Every thing, I can feel it in myself. The kingdom, the people, the land and his mate. Everything belonging...... belongs just to me, like it should be. Everything is possible in the world but her, Evelet..." He said, thinking back to her as his Beta was listening. "She is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. Her eyes, they held so much fear for me and it made me so delighted to know that she was afraid of what I am. Of what I can do and that is the fear I want from people." He said, smiling brighter than ever. "But this time Barka made a mistake." Arth let out, confusing his brother. "What do you mean?" He asked. "For some one who does not slip, but for the first time ever the Alpha lord slipped," Arth said, confusing the Beta yet again. "What do you mean slipped.?" He asked. "Barka should have stayed with his commitment of how he never wanted to be with a mate. Because now........... now that he has one, not only does he have to suffer, but his people too have to go through hell. But that poor girl as well, she is going to make him so weak. And the moment we break her, everything will shut her down. Then you will watch the Alpha lord tearing himself apart." Arth explained everything to him. The Alpha, looking out as the moon that was right in front of him. Slowly, as the moon was turning into a full moon. Just some more time and it would be here and that moon and that day was important to him. However, the Beta, on the other hand, was thinking about this very closely. So close to the point that he had a question of his own. "And what if everything is okay? What if she makes him stronger than ever ?" He asked. However, at this moment, it got Arth that got to thinking. It did not make him mad at any given moment at all. "Then that will be a challenge too. That is seeing how a mate, who has never been in a war, never been a queen do all this. Let's see how someone like that survives with the king and the army that is coming for her." Arth said, taunting her. "She is a pure blood." He said, trying to remind him of what the queen really was. "And you seem to forget that power is not power until it is trained or understood. All I have seen in that girls eyes is fear. She is nothing and will be nothing. Evelet will die in the shadow of the king or will die when I want her dead. She is nothing to a girl that Barka found in a pack. Who has powers and something she has no control about or knowledge about. She will not survive this, not until she is with me." Arth said, everything that he had in his mind. He never saw any power in her, only in Barka. But he also knew what to do with him. This time not only was he confident, but he knew that this Kingdom had belonged to him now and there was no other way. There was no other generation going to carry on this around to another war. It will end now and forever gone, from right here. ...................................................................................................................................................................................................... "This one will do. My god why is this place so high up?" Evi was talking to herself while pulling out another ancient red covered book from this immense library that she had found herself. The lights of this library, all of them turned on and Nori, on the other hand, she was helping Evelet with this. "By the way, how big is this place?"Evi asked, looking at the large hall way that she was in. And on either side there were these massive shelfs that has stairs that went up to the ceiling. There were books and this was a massive place and Evi was actually very happy to be here, her already favorite place this had turned in to. Evi was smiling softly as she took out her 4th book. "Did you find anything?" Nori asked, who was helping Evelet collect more and more books that she needed at the moment. "Plenty....." Evi let out, walking away from there to another section. However, before that, she slammed the four books on the large table and sitting down, getting comfortable there. Opening one of them up, she was already reading one of them. "You have been doing this for hours now, Evi." Nori said, slamming another three more books and right on the same table for her. Arranging them properly while looking at the queen who was already reading. "What is that you want to know so badly?" Nori asked, walking a bit closer. "I mean, I saw you reading and that's why I came in here to help you, but why?" she asked. "I am just doing research, just trying to understand what this kingdom is all about. I going through the history, history of magic, army whatever I can find." Evi said, going about her work and going through everything and revising it properly. How ever, Nori other hand was so surprised at her dedication. "I think you are turning into the queen each and every day." She let out, looking at Evi, and surprised by her. "The way you are behaving, the way you want to know about your people and the Kingdom." She said and slowly Evi glanced away from the book, looking a head and feeling a slight urge of guilt in her body. "I know it all sounds very amazing." Evi let out, looking at Nori who was hovering over her. "But, the truth is that, I am doing this for myself." She confessed. "What do you mean?" Nori asked. "What is going on here? What are you doing here ?" A very familiar voice came and everyone knew that it was the King. Quickly they looked and turned around behind them to see Barka was making his way towards her. He seemed a bit tired but not that much. How ever, the worried look on his face seemed to not want to leave his body. Understand the feeling, but it was unnecessary. "Nothing, I was just going to go to sleep. I am very tired." Nori said, as Barka glanced at her. Looking away from his mate and then back at the Queen. Nori, on the other hand, she smiled at her queen. Not wanting to be a third wheel with them, now that they were both trying to get to know each other, getting close her to each other. Nori wanted that kind of commitment from both of them, it was already very beautiful what they had. "Why don't you take rest, the last two books, you read them later. Enough now." Nori said giving away the information very swiftly to Barka. Some thing she was not supposed to do. However, she did not like it, Evi was going to lie to the king but Nori gave away all her secrets. Evi was staring at Nori, upset and angry as she gave her a small hug smiling from ear to ear. Knowing exactly what Nori had done. "Good night." She let out, walking away from there. But Barka was still mad, and the anger that he consumed in him was nothing compared to the queen. She slowly then looked away from Nori, even though she did not want to and glanced up at her mate. Smiling softly while the only thing she got was a very shift in his body. "There will be a time when I will have to carry you around, just to make you listen to me." He said and she gumpled. "You told me to rest, I am resting. I am not walking around and not doing anything harmful either." She said, coming to her defence. "What are you reading?" He said, immediately changing the topic. "Nothing really...." She said, trying to close the book, but quickly he stopped her, placing his hand on the page and opening it up. the man clenching his jaw. "The history, and why is that necessary?" He asked her, but this time his body was leaning down on her. How ever, what ever this was, it was a bit too much for her. The heat from his body was hitting her back, way to hard. She slowly glanced behind her but didn't really look up at him, having no courage to do so. "What did you find out about us? your new and old family?" He asked. "A lot, there is just so much." She said. "You don't understand what "not thinking" means. Or to be at your own peace ." He said, reminding her. "This is the only thing that is giving me peace, Barka. And not knowing anything is much dangerous. And knowing more and more is much safer to go about the future. At least be aware of what can happen and what I can do." She said and slowly, he looked away from the book and back at her. "He did not get attacked by her words, but she was not wrong. It was something he would live by as well. But her words made it even more realistic. "How about you continue this tomorrow," He said, knowing she had to rest now. "I think, I will be a little busy. I have training." She let out. "Is that tomorrow?" He asked, confused. "That is what you promised me, remember?" She said, looking up at him. "And now you cannot go back on his words. You promised me that I would start my training tomorrow." She said. Barka, on the other hand, was completely taken a back with her. No one in this world hd the power to be in her position and she used all of her power on him. It was very fascinating. "If you want that...." He said, smirking at her. Amused by the women that she was. And now bravely standing in front of the king. "You have to stop this right now and go to sleep. A good rest will help you train tomorrow and you can catch up with this later.." He said,, immediately shutting the book so loud that the voice echoed through out the room. Evi stared at the poor thing, nodding her head. "No......." She said almost immediately turning and looking at him. And the fear in her eyes was so deep and it had a history in them as well, very horrible one at that. "I.. I.....I think, I will stay here for some time..... I....." She said but was interrupted by him.. "Don't worry." He said, feeling so sympathetic towards his mate and immediately the man bent forward and without thinking too much in to it, he picked up all of the books that she had gathered in his hand. She was struck there. "What?.........." he muttered under her breath. "If in the middle of the night, you wake up, you will have these books to read. It will divert your mind." He said and at this moment, all she could do was stare at him. "Thank you so much." She was so freaked out that he helped her, and that she got an answer from him. More over, the understanding that she got from him blew her mind. Barka did not think of her as weak, but what happened was definitely hard. He did not expect her to say that, and those words come out of her mouth were strange. Never the less, he nodded his head as she slowly got up from her seat. Working right with him. Once the reach the bedroom, he opened the doors for both of them while holding her extremely heavy and large books in his arms and quickly she walked inside, extremely tired from the day she had. Evi honestly wanted to sleep but of course, the fear was much more stronger than her sleep. "Why don't you go change, I will set everything up." He said, looking at the dirty bed that it was still messy, and this confused her. She turned towards him only seeing him place the books by the table that was right next to the balcony, arranging them properly. "What do you mean clean it up? Doesn't someone help you. I mean you have so many helpers," She said. "I don't let anyone clean my room, except for my ownself. It helps me calm down." He said, and this was so surprising that she had no idea. "I..I thought kings had a lot to do, that you would be busy to do other cleaning staff." She let out, stunned. "There are things that help people calm down from the hectic life that they have and yes, a king's job is never easy." He said to her standing up straight, watching her. "But in my chamber, I have always done this myself. It was something my mother used to do as well." He said, now this was new for her and she had no idea. It was like she was learning everything about him and at a very slow pace. "That is good manners." She said, trying not to make him look weak, because this was honestly a great thing. How ever, he smiled at her. "That's what she said as well." He let out. "You go freshen up." He said to her and slowly she nodded her head, turning around and walking into the bathroom. Wanting a quick shower before she walked out. And wanting to feel fresh like a girl and a human, yet again. ............................................................................................................................................................................................................. With is no time, she was out of there and her hair slightly blown away. And as if now Barka was in the bathroom preparing himself for sleep while she was out, staring at the moon right above her, knowing that by tomorrow night it would be full moon and somehow there was such anticipation for her, some how she was very much so excited about that moment. Never the less, one last time she glanced at her people, looking at the their houses and the entire Kingdom that was a sleep. It was a good thing. Smiling at herself, she turned around, making her way towards the bed that was now completely clean and set. Climbing inside, she pulled the beautiful covers over her body. It was strangely heaven out here and so peaceful, so comfortable this bed was. How ever, Evi was still too scared to close her eyes. Although, right at that moment, Barka walked in, turning off the lights of the room as he too was getting into the bed with her. The whole uncomfortable situation between them, sharing the same bed had long lost its course and no longer was her main priority or even something to be uncomfortable about. She cared less about it. Evi, on the other hand, had other things to consume her mind. They all slept with the light of the moon spread around them, and all over the place. "Why did you always have the doors closed on the balcony? Do you always like sleeping in the dark?" She asked him, suddenly speaking up in the dark. "I prefer sleeping in the dark, it helps me fall asleep." He said, confusing her as there was a frown around on her face. And she was busy looking around the room. "But there is so much light right now? do you want me to close the doors?" She asked him, "Do you want to close the door?" He asked her, patiently waiting for and answer. But there was silence in the room and Evi started to shake her head. "No it scares me. Complete darkness isn't right for me." She explained as he nodded his head. "I saw that." He muttered. "When?" She asked, immediately turning towards him, facing him. But he was looking up. When I came to your room in your pack, you had your doors open and you needed some light. I knew darkness made you uncomfortable." He said, making her smile. "It's just that the warrior inside of you knows how to deal with different people and different situations, right?" She asked, smiling at him softly as he nodded again.
