Chapter 38

2913 Words
The night came rather very quickly, so quickly that most of them, the people in the training ground and the Kingdom were all gone. It did not even seem to be coming right. It was that fast, and most of them were extremely tired by the day they had. However, the queen, on the other hand, she was in her own space and now completely phased away from the reality but in her own mad thoughts. She did not even know that the sun had finally dropped and now the moon was at its peak as well, staring down at her. How ever, Eveleton was still there, happy that the lights of the training ground were still turned on for her. And mostly because she was still in there going about her training, something she had very much wanted to do and that to her own. Up until now, she liked the company of her trainer and her friends, but she wanted to keep on going and now on her own as well. The light of the moon was now falling through and the brightness of the light surrounding her entire area was pleasant for Evi. Her sword in her hands, she was still going about with her routine. Being as flawless as ever. Her foot work going extremely well with the movement of her hand together. As the large metal and iron mixture was moving here and there, ripping its weight through the wind and the sound being created there was loud and large. She was in her focus all this time. Dodging her thoughts away, dodging her reality and her past away. There was just too much running into her mind at the moment, but Evi only wanted to think about her exercise and her training with her own self. But unfortunately, that is not how her human body was letting her go about the day. How ever, right at that moment Evi heard small foot steps coming from behind her, and so she turned around and stopped. Right there and then she noticed Nori was there, and she was standing away from her, a confused look on her face. But at the same time, Nori was concerned about the Queen as well. "Is there a reason as to why you do not want to come back inside go to the castle? It is cold out here Evi" She let out, feeling the breeze hit her, and even though the wolf could completely take over the heat, as if it was nothing. But it was still cold. As Evi stopped on her track, that was when the queen understood that. Yes. In fact there was a heavy breeze blowing her way. And her slightly open hair was flying away from her face. Evi was breathing heavily, and she was trying to catch her breath, but seemed a bit too much at the given moment. Her chest was on fire and so were her muscles as well. "Just too much going on at the moment." Evi said, slamming the sword down to the ground, trapping it between the flash of the earth. "I wanted to go home........" Evi let out. "But it seems much better to be here." Nori interrupted her. But the truth was that, it was exactly what she wanted to say, word by word. The queen, on the other hand, was very amused by how much Nori knew about her. Evi was smiling softly. "But come on, even you must be tired.. I can understand that you have the queen's blood inside of you, and you are stronger than any one of us. But you have been here for too long, and not even the king trains like you do." Nori said, pleading this time. "I have always loved training." She said, taking off her jacket off that she had on, that was roasting her up. . "I heard from Genie, that this is how you have always been training, for unnatural hours and years.. May be even wake up in the middle of the night to do this" Nori said, and quickly the queen looked up at the castle and to the window that was open. That belonged to her best friend. The lights were on, indicating Genie was still inside and awake. "I can't help myself. Back then I just wanted to be strong enough for my pack, but right now..........." She said huffing and stopping. "Right now, you are not the only one responsible for them, Evi. Now you have a lot more people on guard." Nori said, watching Evi, as the Queen sat down on the ground and like it was nothing. Nori lost it there. "You are the Queen, can you stop that.........." Nori said out loud, walking up to her and all Evi could do was smile softly. "I am in my house and I can do whatever I want in my own home." Evi said to her, reminding her, now that she too was like her sister in law, in a way. Never the less, Nori nodded her head, and let out a long huff. Sitting down right next to the Queen as well. Now on the ground, both of them just sat there, not talking but relaxing in this cold atmosphere. Listening to the trees moving, the wind flowing. All this that normally they wouldn't be able to think of. "Okay, stop dodging the question and tell me what has gotten into you. And for someone who is protected and whose kingdom is so protected, what are you so afraid of.........." "Isaac............ the gray eyed man who keeps coming to my dreams. The Vampire princess that we have in this castle. And the man I know nothing about, with a Kingdom I don't know how to run.." Evi said, now coming out cleaner than ever.. More over, bringing out all the fears that she had in her, and now they were all out in the open. How ever, this some thing Evi wouldn't have done in front of anyone in this world, even not in front her family as well. Not wanting to bother them. But here she was open. Evi laid it all out, everything that was. Nori was shaking her head, baffled. She, on the other hand, just sat very much numb and silent. As if she trying to process everything that was trapped inside of her. All of those...... all that.. it was a valid point.." She said, shutting up. "That is for sure a good point. I could never have come with so.." Nori said. "And now you understand.." Evi asked, glancing at her direction. "Of course, I do." Nori whispered. "If I was in your place, with all of this mess running in my mind. I would have gone crazy. You holding up for so long makes me feel like that is a reason you are a Queen." She said, looking away from her. Feeling the pressure that she had inside of her and it was growing on her, it was disturbing as well. "But you don't have to worry about Isaac.." She said, Evi shaking her head. "Its not about worrying, its about not knowing the future. I felt like I knew everything when I was back in my pack. I knew what would happen next, but now I am understanding that I might pretend all the time that I am strong enough, but even the strongest man, the king....." Evi said, pointing towards the castle and Nori looked up, and then back at her Queen. "Even he does not know what could happen next." She confessed. "And you are afraid of what would happen to you ?" Nori asked, concerned and wanting answers. "No, for the first time I am afraid of what could happen to my people." She whispered, and Nori could feel her pain. "Training, and doing all of this. It some how heals me.. It helps me from my own thoughts. It is trying to help me but I think my thoughts are much, much stronger. Because now, I have responsibility. And I feel like her strategy of attack isn't the same. I am trying to mix my old education with the new one that my trainer is teaching me. By the way he is great." Evi let out, suddenly and Nori nodded her head. "Yes, he is the best. He thought me as well.." Nori said. "Oh, did he.." Evi let out, casually talking and suddenly, they both laughed at the gradual conversation that they were having. Suddenly, laughing it out. "It would have been so much better if we had a normal life, don't you think?" Nori asked the Queen. And it was something that made the Queen laugh. Suddenly they both felt someone coming closer towards them, and the energy that they had they understood it was the king himself.. Barka was here. Quickly Nori got up on her feet and it was not because she wanted to get up, but it was the respect that she had grown for him. Friends or no friends, he had the title of the king and at any cost she was going to show respect to the king. How ever the Queen, on the other hand, Evi glanced up, smiling softly as Nori waved her hand and Evi did the very same thing. Mirroring her new friend as she walked away towards the king whose eyes were only on his mate. He had the same expression that Nori once carried when she got here. "She is not in the best mood, bad maybe. You should stay with her ." She whispered softly, walking right past him as she did so. And Barka, on the other hands, he glanced away, looking at his best friend and confused as ever. The man turned back to her. "I heard from Genie, that you haven't come back. I guess I have to put more restrictions on you.." He said smirking at her. "Please don't." She muttered, getting up almost immediately and his smirk fell and fast. She was not even thinking of it as a joke. All because Barka never made jokes with her. But now he was worried for her. "What is it that you are doing? Your training and everything has a schedule and I think you should follow it.." He reminder her. "Just 5 minutes more please." She said, taking up her sword in her hand yet again, going about her routine. The king stopped right that, not getting on the platform but watching as she gracefully moved about the sword. Moving it in such an excellent way and with her movement, with the way she held on to it tight and with the form that Evelet had. It was all perfection. Clearly Barka knew and understood that the queen that he had was excellent at his strategy. There was perfection in her education, but more than that she just looked beautiful as a warrior. The man couldn't look away from here, even though he wanted to. Barka wanted to concentrate on her formation, and on the way she was using the sword, but the poor man had his wolf controlling him. Watching as her hair was flying away from her face and the anger that she held in those eyes. His smile was growing on his face and right at that moment he got up on the platform with her while she was not concentrating on him. "I am not in the mood to talk right now ........." She said, but the king had nothing to say to her. He not being able to take his eyes off of her and Barka got even closer. "You cannot drag me into the room. I am not going to go until I am done or until I am tired..." She said to him, and yet he did not speak over to her. And only closer. "And if you think you can use your Alpha power on.................... "Huuhhhhhhhh." Immediately she gasped out loud and so loud that she felt as if there was a punch in her gut. But it was not that extra thing. It was his hand holding on to her, the King standing behind her back and a tight group on her stomach. "Don't be so rigid.." He whispered to her, and now she was scared, afraid. Not because that he was a king and not because that he was so close, no. The fear was, she would melt away right there and then. That was something she did not want to feel and had no control over either. "What............ what are you try to........." "Concentrate...." He said, pulling her hand back and pushing her left leg forward with his own leg. "What do you want to aim at?" He asked. "How did you know I was doing this?" She question, a little confused as a frown was forming on her face. "I could hear you throwing your sword from my office, you were the only one here. I assumed it would be my brother but I was a little surprised to see here. Now, where do you want to throw it?" He asked and right at that moment, Evi turned to her left looking at the large tree that was standing proudly and there was, Red Cross made right in the centre. He looked at where she had been trying to aim. The Alpha lord, on the other hand, he noticed that. And clearly she had gotten way too close, but not in the middle. Some thing he was a little taken a back about. "I don't know what's happening to me. Normally, I get every aim right ." She said, and right then Barka looked at every spotter only to see that, yes, she got a bulls eyes on everything. Slowly he got even closer to her, and his lips almost touching her eyes. "Let go of everything you are thinking about Evelet, just let it all go for now......" He said, and a frown started to grow on her face. "I am not holding on to anything." She let out. This made him laugh, but very softly. He did so, not wanting to offend her. But it was hilarious. Although, she immediately shut up. "Okay...... okay." She said. "Close your eyes, try to think of something else other than what is bothering you. You don't have to live with that sort of fear forever." He said, whispering softly in her ears and at this moment she was not afraid of her emotions. Evi was looking away but rather she welcomed a calm mind to come to her. It was his voice that made her do so. He was soft enough to calm her down. "Think of one target and only that. Let go of everything that is trying to trap you.." The Alpha Lord said, and that is exactly what Evi was trying to do, and she did. Taking in a deep breath and letting it out. "Letting go of all of those people, but only thinking about that tree." He said, forcing her to get it done. "Now open your eyes..... Evelet." He said calling out Evi by her full name. Something he liked, as she had figured out by now and immediately, right ahead, she saw the tree. And gradually Barka started to back away from her, while his fingers were tracing down on her skin softly. And his eyes stayed on his mate. "Go..." He said and with all the concentration, focus and force in her body. Immediately, she put in all of our pressure on her left leg and twisted her body. Right there and then swinging the sword at the most speed as it should be. And now making it land right on the cross. Right in the middle. And even though the tree was amazingly far away from where she stood. It landed hard. Evi was completely taken a back by the fact that it finally happened. Her eyes went wide open and all of the swords were now right in the middle. Even this last one. It was almost as if relief was spread around her body, and mentally she was letting it go, emotionally she was no longer restrained there and physically she was free. Everything that she did not expect to happen, it all happened. Evi couldn't help but smile, feeling that she had finally relaxed. "Amazing.. now you have to go sleep..." He said, diverting this blessed moment. "Oh come one.." She said, swiftly turning around as her smile fell. She disapproved to whatever he had to say. Never the less, the king, on the other hand, he immediately turned around, making his way into the castle yet again and leaving the Queen there all alarmed and alone. Never the less, she rolled her eyes, knowing there was nothing much to do. Although Evi had already achieved what ever she wanted to achieve and started to make her way behind him as well. "I am guessing you have a problem with everything I do.." She said irritated. "I am trying to be very patient with you Evelet," he said, never looking back at her. "I can see that........" She muttered, as they both continued to bantter as they made their way in. And trying to get in some warmth, and warm food and warm sleep. It was time.
