Chapter 43

3006 Words
Evi knew she could not take this anymore, there is a reaching point to everything and she had reached her limit very soon. Quickly, she pushed hand over from grip that he had on her, and started to make her way away from him, and as far as she could. She wanted that kind of source, a little privacy to herself, not something that was asked after all the time. She walked away from there, Evi's heart breaking into million pieces. Even though Barka meant nothing to her, something inside of her was cracking up so bad, shuttering into pieces. "Get me out of here...." Her wolf said to Evi, for the first time speaking out loud and for the first time saying something Flower would have never said in her entire life, but now she did. Her eyes started to tear up and now so heavy that everything else started to look blurry to her. Making it difficult for her to walk and this made her so angry. "Stop crying, why the f*** are you so weak...." Evi said to herself, never had she ever said something so mean to herself, never had she put herself and her wold in this position, to feel so vulnerable. But here she was, feeling every sort of way by his words. That she would not have dreamed of. Never to hear but still it made her so mad, thinking she never wanted a mate wither. Why was she getting so disturbed by his words was a mystery. She immediately shut her eyes, feeling a heavy stab on her chest. As large tears started to form, falling down her cheek. Evi walked away from there as fast as she could. Not wanting to smell his scent anymore, not wanting to be around him any more. How ever, Barka, on the other hand, he stood right where he was. His head down and his eyes closed. The man suffered himself, thinking why he even open his mouth on the first place. Clenching his hand into a fist. He was growling at himself at the things he said to her and every thing that came out of him. That shouldn't have happened. Immediately slammed his hand on the bark of the tree, he was letting his frustration out. Making a large c***k on it, as it noise echooed through out the forest. The wood cracking hard. the bark had no strength in it anymore, not that he could fight of an Alpha lord like him and in its pure suffocation it bent over, landing down on several other trees. The loud hitting of those heavy woods, the slamming of it, everything was so heavy and loud that it went on and on, going up to the kingdom itself. But Barka did not care. His head still looking down, although slowly opening his eyes, regaining his whole conversation. For the first time in his life, he had felt suffocation in his body. Something he got from Evi, and also something he created for himself as well. The captivation was too much, and he couldn't take any more. As the empty forest that he was rounded by consumed him. Although there was still a thought in his mind, something that came in so fast and stuck to him. And now Barka knew exactly what he had to do. Distance himself for her. But at the same time, this was the right thing for the kingdom too. This kingdom need protection, more than it needs a Queen. He too felt a s***h in his stomach, that came from his wolf. But even though it hurt him, Barka had to do this for his Kingdom. She was right this time. There is no other way to this, he thought to himself. Knowing that everything that will come in so fast, had to c***k in time and c***k faster as well. Sowly he backed away from where he stood, glancing away at where Evi had left too, but only to see that she had disappeared into the forest and far away from him. He could no longer hear her heartbeating, smell her scent either. But some how he knew she had safely reached to a more secure area, and away from the dangerous place like this. However he could protect her now, but Barka didn't know if he could in the future, or if that would be even possible. How ever, Evi, on the other hand, she started to make her way into the castle. And now rushing in, as her face was slightly red and her tears were wiped away from her. Brushing up the stress, she was actually running up the stairs this time, taking large steps while skipping a few of them. "What happened Evi?" The Queen mother asked, making her stop on her track and turn around, looking at the old woman standing there and holding a worried look on her face. The Queen mother knew something had happened, it was pretty evident and even though the Queen was not crying, but Queen mother very well knew her and her pain. "Where are you coming from? what happened?. Tell me everything Evelet.." She said, but of course, the queen did not want to brag about anything, especially tell all the details as a small child would do. "Nothing Queen mother, I was just out for a walk." Evi let out, hoping she would believe her. "And you came back crying. I can see it on your face, and of course the magic we hold does let me know that you are not happy." She said, a worried look growing on her face, something even the new queen couldn't hide from her. It was a clear representation on her face. Evi shook her head, gulping softly. "It is really nothing." She said, lying and hating herself for lying, but she also did not want to go around, telling everything to everyone. At this moment, her voice that she was using made the Queen mother understand that she did not want to talk about it any more, and so slowly the old lady nodded her head, not wanting to disturb her, and trying to understand her here. But wanting to help so bad. Right at that moment, she turned around, making her way up and but at this moment Evi was refusing to go to her bedroom, she did not take a left turn but a right turn and to a different part of a castle. Some where she hasn't been to before at all. How ever, the queen mother, watching her, sad thinking as to why was Barka doing this to the poor girl. Knowing exactly who had created the sadness on her face. It could be no one else but only her mate who could be so powerful. The Queen mother was thinking of those times that she had her own mate, and how they were made to be with each other. But she could see how Evi and Barka where constantly fighting the bond that they had. Realising it must be very suffocating for them, very tireding but yet here they were, doing that never the less. But the queen, on the other hand, she started to make her way up and get into a corridor. Evi, had never been to part of the castle before, she was breathing heavy by now, and not really looking as to where she was going. Her hands on her chest, it seemed to be burning to her, and she started to blink her eyes rapidly. She wouldn't cry anymore, but it was a lot for her. Never the less, she looked around the place, and saw how every thing looked so dark, black, blue and grey. This part was much more cold as if, nobody was there in this part of the wing of the tower in the castle. Evi then slowly was making her way towards and into the large corridor. It was definitely mysterious to be here, but she felt pretty welcomed as well. Taking a few steps forward she noticed a large massive door on her right side. It was exceptionally enormous, as they were. Evi had no idea where she was. But the only place she knew she could be alone was this part of the tower. Being morning as of now, Evi knew she would be crowded by her own people, and she did not want to be around any of them right no, and so she's slowly pushed the door open, thinking there might be some resistance to it, but it opened up. Evi was a little shocked but slowly she pushed in harder and the doors crackled while they opened, they made very heavy noise. Making them open up, as a very strange sound came, and made it pretty terrifying. But Evi knew there was nothing to be afraid of in this place. Her wolf could not sense anything bad. Never the less, she walked in to the room. Her right leg first and she was in. However, Evi then noticed the beauty that this place was. There were black marbles in the hall of a room from up to down. Walls, floors, pillars, everything. Her every step went on a long echo and there were multiple glasses on either side of the wall. Beautiful paintings on them. This place was beautiful, but dim. There was light getting in, and it was not enough light to fill the room. How ever, right then she saw an alter in the middle and there was these few elegant marble stairs that went up to a big large slap, that had another marble table and on them were these two candles candles lit. At this moment Evi couldn't help but think that maybe this was a very sacred place. Some where she shouldn't have been or come. And so the Queen immediately shut her eyes, shaking her head, clearly knowing that if Barka would come here to see her in this place, he would once again start his screaming match with her. Something she did not want again. But some Evi couldn't help but feel wrong towards it. Even though she knew she shouldn't be doing this. Slowly she started to make her way up to stairs, looking at the alter. And with the no time she reached right above, only to see these candles that have been burning for quite a long time. But as surprising as it was, she stared at them. "Black magic...." She whispered to herself, knowing that Misi would have something to do with this. How ever, so slowly she started to put two and two together, understanding that it was a shrine that stood here. "Huuhhhhh." Immediately she gasped in horror and at the same time Evi was shocked to know that it was his parents shrine. This was definitely not the place she should have been and it hit her like a large brick was thrown on her face. "Shit.." She muttered to herself, and started to back away. But suddenly, she saw something, a picture or a painting of some short. It was behind a slab and on the wall. Stopping on her track, Evi walked up closer to the wall noticing the painting of the king and queen. The pictures of them was very rare, all because they ruled is very Sinister times, and nobody had the time to have a peaceful, and calm life. They didn't even have the time to take pictures, it was a dark era. But in this one, their faces were shown and for the first time, Evi could see them. Needless to say, she was more than shocked and what was more shocking was the face that Barka's father had. Very similar he was literally his father. But much bigger as well, Barka was stronger. But at least his father had a smile on him. How ever, Ran looked more like his mother, and a very small glances of his father was still there. "My grand mother said it is about time you found this room." A voice came behind her and quickly she turned around, a bit taken a back and her wolf did not even sense anyone there. That was the kind of concentration she was holding, but only to see it was Rann behind her. "I didn't even know this place existed." She said, in her defence. "Of course, my brother wanted a place for them, a place where he could come and be with them." Ran let out, glancing at the hall, smiling to himself. "But why is this place so cold...." She said, shivering. And she chuckled at her. "I don't know, but there are so many unfinished business in this family, maybe the souls are not yet very happy.." He said, but she did not know how to react to this. Which was actually very painful for her to hear, not a pleasant statement this was. Even from a kid who lost his family. "I heard that some thing happened with you both, yet again." Rann let out. And she rolled her eyes. "I don't want to talk about this." She said turning around facing the shrine yet again. However Rann immediately understood that, and did not want to drag it any longer, but at the same time he did not want to dismiss it either "You have to understand that my brother has been through a lot and he has seen way too much, than any of us can experience in one lifetime. And in a very small age he had encountered the most brutal death, as he saw the death of his own family." Rann went on and and on about it. And suddenly Evi's eyes started to blink on their own, as if she had no control over them and the stories that was painfully to said, but reality. Evi could understand it. But she knew that all that must have been very hard for Barka. "My brother is trying very much here Evi, the decision that he made to bring you here was him actually putting an effort and not only with you, but with everyone else." He said, walking closer to her, while she looked at the candles. How ever, the wax from them was sliding down but not once were the candles reducing in size. But Evi listened to him careful. Nevertheless her anger was still at her peak. "I do understand everything that Barka has been through, but the way some times he reacts......" She said, not being able to continue. "But he reacts that way because of his fear......" Rann said and she smirked to herself, shaking her head. "He is not afraid of anything Rann.." She whispered. "May be he is, and maybe we haven't understood him clearly." He said surprising her so much so that she turned around to face him. Not believing his words here. "You honestly believe you brother, Barka has a soul?" She asked, confused, flushed even. "Maybe he is afraid Evi, because of you. You have to give him credit here, everything he has ever done he did it. He has changed a life to bring you into this life. All my existence I have only heard him say I do not want a mate. And the moment he met you, his entire thought went away. From being selfish to actually giving you the crown that you deserve. Which he could have taken from you Evi. He could have done that but he did not. And so maybe you should give him a little credit." He said, as she gulped in horror. "Yes, he is not doing everything that he should," Rann said walking a little closer towards her and she never look away from him. 'But my brother, as much as I know him, he is trying for you Evi. I just want you to give him a chance. Anything you do with him, it puts him in a position where he does not know how to react. And I also know you will not stop taking up your role seriously either. You are our Queen, you have all the rights to be curious about your own kingdom and he also has all the right to be worried about you." He said, reminding her, and Evi was actually listening to all of that. She simply stood there for a while, took in a deep breath and let it out gradually. "So you are saying that I am going to be, who I will be. And he is going to be who he will be. A man who solves his problem by screaming it out of people?" She asked, and Ran chuckled softly to himself. "Both of you are so stubborn, nobody is willing to c***k is what I am saying. It is not only about sacrifice for the kingdom Evi, but doesn't Barka make you feel anything, as a mate?" He asked, taking her off guard. "You did not believe in a second chance Evi, but you got one. And yet, doesn't my brother make you feel anything inside of you?.. Anything at all?" He asked and right at that moment, right as those words came out of him. It felt as if she couldn't look at him any more. Some thing just made her pull away from there. And at that question in particular she felt numb. Evi held on to her skirt tightly as her breath started to get heavy on her chest. She was not going to say it out loud, but Evi did, she actually did feel something. How ever Rann, on the other hand, he had a smile on his face. He did not want an answer from her in particular. That was not the point of the question. He just wanted her to realise something and he got his answer never the less. Because this got her thinking.
