Chapter 25

After hours of staying away, all four of them started making their way towards the gates of the castle. How ever, the gates were wide open, something Evi did not understand why, but as they walked in. The very first thing she saw was similar cars standing parked outside and right under the stairs of the castle. She could see the Queen mother and Misi standing right outside, and this confused her. And right behind Evi, slowly Barka came up, staring at his mate and then back at the cars, seeing as one of the guards opened the door and there walked out her mother, and then her entire family. More and more people coming out from the four extra cars behind and immediately her eyes went wide open in shock. "Mom.." Evelet whispered, gaining Nori's attention as well. Almost instantly, Nori let go of Santo and rushed to Evi. "Wait, what happened?" Nori asked. "Nori, where are you going?" Santo said, a little taken a back by her sudden movement. And a little upset that she just walked away. Nori made her way towards Evi. "Is that your family?" She asked and Evi's eyes went wide open as she nodded her head, walking faster while the King and Santo were making their way at a slow pace. She rushed to the entrance of the castle, passing through the cars. And before she could even meet anyone else, quickly Evi grabbed on to her mother, who was at the moment busy talking to the Queen mother. But they both, mother and daughter wrapped their arms around them and tight. "Evi.." Her mother called out to her and Evi shut her eyes tight, more than happy in her life. The queen mother of course, did not mind this. She was more than happy to see the happiness on her Queen's face. This was a good thing that was going on. She smiled staring as both mother and daughter backed away from each other and Evi walked up to her father as well, holding him tight. "I thought you were all going to come tomorrow for the crowning. What happened?" She said, actually very happy and excited to see them. Her emotions were all over the place. She was completely stunned. "Did you not want us to come?" Her father asked slowly, pushing her hair out of her face and she started to shake her head. "Of course not, I am so happy." She let out. "Please do come in." Queen mother said, letting them all walk inside as she followed right behind them. Once inside, of course everyone were looking around the place. It was the most spectacular thing she had ever seen. People were completely taken a back, and it was understandable. Misty was here as well, but with her fiance and so was her best friend Genie. "Please, do be seated." The queen mother said as everyone sat down, all a bit tired from the long journey they had. And that is when Barka came into the castle, and everyone instead stood up, bowing to the king. Barka then walked in, first to her father, shaking his hand. There Barka saw that the man was very happy to be here, to see his daughter. "I am very grateful that you called us all a day before my king." He said, surprising Evi, as she didn't even know about this. "Normally people come to visit on the crowning, but I am very grateful you gave us some more time with our daughter." He said, and Evelet had no idea he had even done this for her. She stared at him, but Barka did not once glance at Evi. "This is important for your pack and your family as well. I would want everyone to be together on a day like this." He said, of course this was a little strange to see, this side of him. But here he was. ...................................................................................................................................................................................................... A few hours went by, and Evi was very happy that her family was going to stay the night with her, and go back home after the crowning was done. Something about this place just made her feel like home yet again. It was just one of the most happiest moments of her life. Right at this moment, her parents, her brothers and some of her extended family and her cousin were are settled in different rooms. Most of them were resting, while she took her best friend by her hand, dragging her and walking up the stairs. She was busy looking here and there, trying to glance on to where she was exactly. "This place is so beautiful, but also very scary. Most of the things are so dark." Genie said, and Evi was nodded her head. Once up, Evi was dragging her towards her bedroom. Pushing both the doors open and Evi walked in as her best friend followed right behind her. Her eyes went wide open at the site of her bedroom. The same as it was when Evi came in. "I cannot believe this is where you sleep?" She said, looking at the bright room that was shining brighter than ever. How ever, there was a sudden frown on Genie's face. "Why are you sleeping in this room? alone?" Genie asked, not being able to smell the scent of the king. "I am glad that this happened, he just let me have a room. " Evi said. "And this how you both are going to be forever and even after the crowning?" She said walking up to her luxurious bed and sitting down. "Wow.." She said, stunned. "I mean, you do realise that you both have to live a life together and have a heir to give to this Kingdom?" Genie asked, and that was as devastating as that could be. "Please stop talking." Evi let out, sitting down by a couch in the corner. "I am happy for you, I really I am. You are our Queen now and something about that just doesn't mean that I can not be mean to you." She let out. "But give him a chance, Evi. And maybe then he will give you a chance as well. Both of you are too stubborn for each other." She said, and right then Geenie got up, trying to see what else was in that room and Evi followed right behind her. Quickly making her way towards the balcony, as the Queen followed right behind her. Both of them standing out and taking the fresh air that was very much needed. Right then Evi realized what had happened just a few hours ago, the power she had to help that girl. But she shook her head, wanting to forget it. "I don't know what's going to happen in the future, but I have a responsibility here." Evi said to Genie, as her best friend glanced at her, nodding her head. "You do, and your own people are here for you, so will we." She let out and that was enough for her. .. .. .. .. "Do you know what happened to Isaac?" Evi asked, honestly wanting to know if there was any information at all about him. "Don't talk about him." Genie let out, looking back out at the kingdom and angry now. "That man was try to kill you, and now he is not going to be safe anywhere. Every Alpha is upset and everyone is angry with him. This was assassination." Genie let out, as Evi nodded her. Knowing that she was telling the truth. "Don't worry about it, right now I know everything sounds a little messy and looks a little messy as well. But things will start to straighten up." She said. ...................................................................................................................................................................................................... The woods were getting cold, and the night wind harsher then ever. People were shivering through pain as the sound of loud slashing of a whip came through, and pain echoing everywhere. Screams of people peering out. And there stood a man watching all of this, as he stood right above his castle and by the balcony. Enjoying the screams of the people that once respected his ancestors. A smile creeping on him, as his grey eyes started to glow bigger and brighter. And the scar on the side of his face stretching. Quickly Arth turned around, making his way into his office and in to his own space. However, right there, there was a knock on the door, distracting him. "Alpha......" One of his men came in with his Beta right behind." He sat down on his chair in a pretty amazing mood. As the grayness of the sky started to spread there, making the light, natural light dimmer and what was still left in this room. "What is it." He asked through his rough voice. "Someone is here to meet you Alpha." The man let out a small smile as it was growing on him as well. "Who is it." Arth asked. "Someone you want to meet, someone who know, or let's say, was getting married to King Barka's mate." The man said, and Artth's eyes went wide. "Barka has a mate?" He let out, immediately sitting up straight as the man felt an enormous amount of shock in his body. Thinking about his rival, was was one of the most hardest things for him to do. But at this moment, realising that he had a weakness only made everything much more delicious for him. "Bring him in." He said and quickly the man walked out. How ever, Arth sat there, watching over the door as very sinister thoughts were coming over his mind. Constantly. Placing both his hands under his chain, the large man sat there smirking through his clenched jaw. It was at that moment that he saw Isaac come it. He had never seen him before, but clearly knew he was also and Alpha. But no longer. Because he could sent that on him, and the way he looked too. His shirt was covered in mud, but more over he looked dead. "I can see your title has been taken away from you." Arth let out,. "Title, people, the women I loved." He said, walking in anger that was pouring through his body. Everything about him was on fire, the fire that once and always had lived in Arth's heart as well. Slowly he got up and made his way towards him. "I can understand that we both share a common hatred towards the king, I am guessing he took something from you as well." He let out, and Isaac chuckled softly nodding his head. "Something that was not ever meant to be mine. Something that should have belonged to me." Issac said. And why are you here?" He asked. "Because I want your help." He let out. And this time it was the Alpha who laughed. "I have many reasons.." He said, taking a pause and looking down for a few seconds. Like he was gathering information. Slowly glancing back up at Isaac. "Actually, I have many reasons to go back to Barka and start all over again with our rivalry. But I am not going to do you any help on taking revenge because your arranged marriage was destroyed. You are of no value to me." Arth, said turning around and working back to his chair. "It is quite of a good news to know that my brother that he was once, now has a mate, a weakness." Arth said, smirking. "She is more than a weakness to him." Issac whispered, confidently. "What are you talking about?" He asked, turning back to the man who looked so defeated. "There is a secret with her that her entire family has been hiding something. Only my father knew and I did. Not even she know." He said, and this could Arth a little bit more exciting for that. Even though he did not know what it was yet, there was an excitement growing inside of him. "And pray tell what that is?" He asked, and this time it was Issac that had a smile on him. "Heeling powers in her blood. Healing so fast and not her wolf that does it. It is her blood. Evelet was born on a full moon," He let out, knowing what he had done now. And this time Arth's eyes went wide open in shock as to what he just heard. "She was born dead, but that was not her fate. That night something happened and there was an earthquake. The entire land shook but now her house, and she was in there. The moon goddess gave up one of her lives to protect her, her daughter, letting her survive. And on a full moon giving her heeling, bringing her back to life and letting those powers stay with her." Issac said, making the Alpha stand on his feet.. "can she bring back anyone?" Arth asked. "There is no death if she is around you. And that could only mean that she could make you more powerful, stronger than your age old rival this time." Issac said, and Arth was blown away. Not realizing the power that still lived here. "And what is it that you want?" He asked, looking at Issac. "I want the Alpha lord dead, and you can have the most powerful being to ever exist on this world." He let out, not once thinking about the girl he loved. However, this was something wonderful. A smile was growing on his face, Arth thinking over this. "I thought pure blood had died a long time ago, but we have pure blood on our land and no one knows about this." He said, fascinated. "But this is faith,"Arth said to Isaac, gaining his attention. "For so long Barka had taken what belonged to me and now it seems like the time has come when I get what is mine. The moon goddess has finally given me directions, not only so that I could kill him, but this is all planned. The most powerful creature in the world is with him. How ironic is that?. Faith has come to play with me , taking my side for once.." He let out, looking at Isaac and smiling softly. Knowing exactly what he had to do. "Show me her." Arth said, as this was the beginning of many people's end. ..................................................................................................................................................................................................... As of now it was time for dinner. The entire family was out in the back garden where it was told where the dinner will be held for everyone. Immediately, Evi walked down the stairs with her best friend, feeling at most happy and sad at the moment that they were all going to leave tomorrow but for now they were all there. Walking down for dinner, Evelet made her way to the garden, only to see her entire family, the queen mother and even Barka was there. Nori, Santo and everyone was present. Whatever this was, it was so strange to see her new family and old family together. Nevertheless, she walked down as everyone's eyes went on her. Evi smiled at them softly, while walking up to all of them. Barka, on the other hand, he looked at her up and down. Something about her just constantly made him feel a little strange inside of him. "Why don't we all sit and have dinner, Evelet is finally here." The Queen mother said to all of them. "Yes, I am very hungry." Misty let out, sitting down while the Queen mother sat on the edge, on the head of the table and right opposite to her was Barca. Evi was supposed to sit right next to Barka, her being the Queen. Everyone settled down and Evi slowly made her way towards him, when suddenly he put the chair out for her, surprising her and himself as well. The man had no idea why he suddenly was doing all that. But she couldn't help but think it was just good manners. Evi looked up at him, meeting his eyes and confused but never the less, she sat down as he helped her. Barka too got comfortable on his seat, while the food was being served. At that moment, Evi could smell something very similar or familiar actually, and their she saw as the covers opened up was her lemon cake that she had finished and was sad about. But here there was an entire cake for her. it was there just for her and she knew it. Her eyes went wide open and her mouth watering. Barka, he noticed that, glancing at her one second and back at the cake. Glad that he had asked to bring this. "Thank you so much for your hospitality, I am just very glad that my daughter is doing very well over here." Her father said, looking sweetly at his only girl. "She truly did miss each and everyone of you. It wasn't easy for her as well." The Queen mother said, as Evi looked down. Never the less happy with what she heard. Quickly then moving a little closer to her mate, she spoke up. "Why didn't you tell me my parents were coming today?" She asked. As the King cleared his throat. "It's slipped through my mind." He let out, like it was nothing and going about his food as the family continued on talking. How ever what he said confused her. "You are a King, how can anything slip from you?" She asked. "I have been quite occupied here Evelet." He said, looking at her. "Your attacked and then this happened with the new wolf. However you still have to tell me how you healed her." He asked her, completely taking her of guard. But she started to shake her head. "I don't know about that and don't bring it up. I just wanted to know why did you do this? I can understand we are not the traditional mates and I also remember you telling me you wanted nothing to do with me. So why are you try to be nice. Bringing my family." She asked, wanting to know. He huffed, backing away in his seat. "I know they mean everything to you and you are the Queen of this Kingdom, and for this Kingdom to be happy, you have to be happy. I meant it when I said I do everything for my people and you are one of my people now." He let out, surprisely her. however, that did not hurt her as much as it did last night, but it made more sense. She looked at her family that was laughing and smiling, and even though they leaving tomorrow, she knew that they were very safe under the guidance of the King. Everything was going to be okay. Slowly she moved closer to him again. "Thank you." She said, whispering softly. How ever this time it was the king that was taken a back, he did not even expect her to say that. He looked up from his food and back at his mate, with a cloth wiping the side of heads lips. And all he could do was nod his head. "I would suggest you sleep well tonight, Evelet. He let our, confusing her. "Why,"" She asked, And now it was him that loved closer to her. "Because from tomorrow, there will be a lot you would have to do taking care of. A Kingdom is not easy to run, and I want my Queen to be there for her people. Stronger than ever." He let out, moving back from her, and now coming back to his old self. She for one second thought that he had mellowed down on her, but seemed like nothing had changed for him. Barka was the same old man, and that was quite okay for her, for once.
