For the first time in his life, and now Barka was listening to something that Evi wanted to do. Although he was not completely agreeing to it, but he did not disagreeing to it either. Both of them actually, 4 of them. Nori and Santo were with them were walking around the Kingdom, just looking at the place. Evi was seeing how this beautiful place looked. Of course, there were people who were extremely stunned to see that their King and Queen were among them. But what was more enchanting was them bowing, was them all going back to work. Something they have always done when ever Barka used to come walk along with them, something the people were so used to. Of course, though seeing their queen with them is something much more for them. And they wanted to go talk to her, but they also wanted to give her all the privacy that she needed. And so Evelet did not feel crowded here. How ever, the news of what she did here, had completed run all around the Kingdom like wildfire and was still going on and on and on. She was completely oblivious to it but Barka was not. He clearly knew that what ever he saw there was something that had never happened in this existence. He had never seen what she had done here, that had never happened ever before, and this got him thinking. How ever, Nori and Santo were right ahead of them, walking at a far distance while leaving Barca and her to get be together. With Evi's hands behind her, she was walking freely and looking at a few people here and there. Who were smiling at her. How ever, the excitement was clearly showing on their faces. It was something that she could not even try to hide, even if she wanted to and it was the same for the people as well. Evelet did not mind that, not really that into attention but she felt a sense of pride around her people. Barka though, him, on the other hand, he slowly glanced at her, seeing how her face was glowing. He had not seen her that way at all, since the moment she had come into his life. He couldn't help but think that he might have snatched it all from her, but a small part of him was very glad that her own people were giving her this sense of happiness that he could not. "How are you feeling right now?" He asked her in his sudden, rough, tone coming up. Suddenly bringing her back to reality. She quickly turned to him, no longer smiling but nodding her head. "I feel much better." She let out, small words here and there and he nodded his head. "It won't happen again." He spoke, making her look up at him, meeting his eyes. "What do you mean? Do you mean what happened today?" She asked. "No," He said, confusing her. "Then what?" She asked. "What happened while you were coming back to the kingdom? It will not happen again." He said, and immediately she knew what he was talking about. However at this moment Barka was trying to be a little sensitive about it, but it was still coming off very difficult for him. Never the less, she can't really understood him, but continued to walk. While smiling and enjoying the beautiful houses that were made from stone, all stones. They look very old fashioned and it was beautiful here. However, suddenly, as the conversation drifted to something she did not want to think about. Never the less, she couldn't help but think about it and he noticed that. "What are you thinking of?" He asked. "I thought you were happy to be out with your people." He said. "I was thinking about Isaac." Evelet let out and suddenly he stopped on his track, glaring at her with a sense of anger spreading through him. He immediately grabbed her hand in a tight grip, and turned her around. Not forcefully, but there was a little pressure. The man who was so much bigger than her was glaring down at her. "What were you thinking about him?" He asked her, in the most sinister way and suddenly, something made her chuckle softly. "I know I hurt him. I know that we never loved each other, I don't love him." She let out and there was a small part of Barka that actually felt like it let out a small huff, like those words gave him a little bit of sanity. "But I think I was wrong." She said, confusing him even more so. "What do you mean?" He asked, looking deep into her eyes. "I think he did love me and I broke his heart, but I don't ever want to believe that he wanted to hurt me." She said, and he looked at her in disbelief. "Issac brought rouge to attack you, and with a few of his pack members. I am sure you grew with them?. How can you still think he did not want to hurt you?" He asked, and she thought about it for a second. "It's just hard to believe, just like it was hard to believe I had another mate. And even more difficult to believe that he did not want me." She said, and this time her voice broke a little. Something Barka could hear very clearly. But right then he slowly let go off her hand and he cleared his throat. "Those men we captured, they will be hung after the crowning for what they have done, and we are in the search for Isaac too." He said to her, knowing she would want to know. However, this confused her this time. She glanced back up at him. "What do you mean search?" He asked. "He attacked a Queen Evelet. He is now on the run. How ever, his pack has been captured." He said to her, shocking her. "You have his people? Barka don't hurt his people, they have nothing to do with this." She said frantically. "I am not going to." He said immediately, placing his hand on her shoulders, because he could see the panic that she was in her eyes. It was something he did not see coming at all, not something he wanted to do. Because never in his life has he had to try to take care of someone else's emotions. At this moment, he could see the pain in her eyes for his people. And immediately, she calmed down, relaxed and slowly nodding her head as she understood they were out of danger. "My most trusted men are in that pack, they are taking care of those people and they will be fine. But we have names of everyone who came there to attack you, they will be killed and everyone who attacked from that pack will be hung in this Kingdom and it will happen whether you like it or not." He said, giving her his honest opinion, something she couldn't have a say on. She might be the Queen but every decision would have a consequence, and so she nodded her. However, at that moment she saw a few people coming out of their houses, and looking at both Barka and her. And this confused her. She slowly noticed how they were all looking down and she did the very same thing, noticing his hands around her arms. He figured that out as well and slowly he let her go. How ever, the people seemed to be delighted at this sudden change of events. Their king with their Queen, it was something very beautiful about this. Quickly she turned around when they both noticed two elderly couples making their way towards them. Both of them stopped for a second as only Evelet smiled at them, while Barka stood there. Quickly they both bowed down to both of them, how much ever they could. However, the women passed Evi a small tiffin box sort of a thing and this confused her.. But Barka came a bit closer. "This is Mrs Mirtham. She makes one of the best lemon cakes in the kingdom. She is very famous for it." He said to her and her eyes went wide open. "Lemmon cakes?. I love lemon cakes so much?" Evelet said, almost behaving like a small child. And of course, the lady and the old man were so happy to know this, watching her smell the box and closing her eyes as she held the box close to her chest. However, Barka, on the other hand. He noticed her this way for the first time, and didn't even know this side of her existed. But here it was, actually present and she looked beautiful as ever. The man couldn't even look away from her, even if you wanted to. "I am very glad your highness. If you want, we can always send you some lemon cakes." The old lady said. "I will come here myself. I like this place. It's very beautiful and thank you so much." Evi said, talking to them and actually having a conversation with people she had never met before. At that moment, Barka noticed a different change in her. A beautiful change. She was very close to dying yesterday, and she had the most painful experience of seeing her people trying to kill her. And he completely destroyed any ounce of happiness in her life by saying those horrible things to her, and here she was, with her people and happier than ever, smiling and laughing with them. He have no idea what this strength was and where this was coming from, but she was the bravest think he had ever seen. And what she did here was definitely one of the most new experience, this was the kind of strength he had never seen before. "Thank you so much." She said, bringing him back to reality as the old lady and her husband walked away from there, leaving them to be on their own and not disturbing anymore. Evelet then continued to walk, but he was just watching her go a little forward. How ever, Evi looked to her right and noticed he was in there with her. Stopping, she turned around, still holding the tiffin box close to her chest. "What? You not coming? I want to say some more places." She asked and at the same time he nodded his head. "Are you not tired?" He asked her and she shook her head almost immediately. "Not at all." She replied. That got him to thinking. "Then I would like to take you somewhere." He said, how ever this kind of surprised her. She was a little stunned as to where he would like to take her, but for once she wasn't afraid of him. He would never hurt her or anything, she constantly thought to herself. He walked with her, guiding her to a place she had no idea about but was interested in knowing. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. With in no time, they went up to the huge waterfalls that he used to go to all the time to practice, to feel at peace and this waterfalls did that for him.. As they got closer, it got bigger and louder.. She had just been to a few waterfalls in her life here and there. But this was large. She looked to her left to see Santo and Nori were at the far distance, holding hands and walking by the water. Looking back up at the waterfalls, as the small sprinkles of water were crashing on to her face, spraying softly. "So this is what the noise is. I can hear it very slightly from my room." Evi said it out loud as he nodded his head. "Its beautiful here." She said, making him agree yet again. Evi then suddenly took off her shoes, walking bare foot on those stony grounds. This was something he did not see coming, as the man was a little shocked. "What are you doing? The water is very cold." He said, but she had already stepped into the water, making her way towards a rock, where she could sit and watch the view much more carefully. More over, she was just trying to walk carefully at this moment, so that she did not fall on her face. That would have been a problem. However, Barka on the other hand, he immediately shut his eyes as he walked up towards her. "Are you ever going to listen to me ?" He asked. "I listen to you.... most of the time." She said, whispering this last part softly to herself, and yet of course from his hearing, he heard her. She then quickly started to take one step forward and yes, the water was very cold but it smelt amazing over here. It felt like a breath of fresh air that she very badly needed as well. So right now, but suddenly her leg went on to a very loose pebble under the water, making her slip. "Ahhhh... ahhh." She let out, her body slowly going forward and she was losing her balance. But quickly Barka grabbed her by the stomach, before she could fall. Pulling her back to his chest with all of his strength. This happened so quickly that she did not even close to seeing it coming. But that was not the bother. What really affected her was how her heart was beating so fast. How she was holding on to his hands tight out of fear of falling and how she could feel his heart behind her back. It was all just a lot. "Be careful Evelet." He whispered down into her ears, very close.. Forcing Evi to shut her eyes, because the moment she felt his lips close to her, his hot breath on her ears as well. There was something inside of her that started to heat up her body, it just reacted a different way. Then slowly, he let her go but taking his time as he let go of her stomach. She nodded her head, all because she had no strength or words that she could bring out at this moment, it was next impossible and especially right now around him. Never the less, she moved forward, shaking her head and trying to understand what just happened a few seconds ago. And then this time slowly she made her way towards that rock, sitting down and keeping some space if he wanted to sit. For that one moment, she just stood there, not trying to do anything but just breathe. Something that seemed hard after what just happened. Slowly she started opening up the box as Barka walked a little closer to where she was standing, he was right next to her, With his hands in his pockets. She was just excited about eating the cake, and now her mind was diverted from everything. "Do you want some?" She asked him, pushing the box up and closer to him. He looked down at the cake and back up at her, something about her was just so confusing. There were times where she would just yell at him, and now she was being very kind. Immediately he shook his head. "I do not eat sweet food." He said to her, bringing a frown on her face that he did not expect to see. He was little fascinated and amused by the look on her face. "Never?" She asked, and all Barka could do was nod his head. "I have never had them, I don't like the taste." He said and of course that surprised her as she raised her eyes, taking a huge bite out of the small cut lemon cakes. "I have never known anyone who did not like cakes." She said. "I don't like how sweet they taste. I prefer spicy food." He let out, staring at the waterfalls because this place some how made him feel better. The light conversation and this smell of her sent everything calmed him down.. Especially after what had happened. A few minutes ago, he was a completely different man. "Now, I can understand everything. It is all starting to make sense to me." She said, enjoying the cake and just relaxing for that one moment. However, he glanced away from the water and back down at Evelet. "What does that mean?" He asked, actually wanting to know. "My grandmother always use to say." She let out, a smile crawling on her face as she swallowed the cake entirely. "People who don't like sweets cannot be sweet." She said, joking about it. Of course, knowing her grandmother was joking as well. "It was just something she used to say to us as kids." She said. "You don't think I am sweet?" He asked. "Do you?" She let out. "This cannot be shocking to you." Evi said, looking back at the water. "You are not afraid of me, are you?" He asked her. Some how knowing the answer. But wanting to hear it from her. "Of course I am afraid of you, I don't know you." She said. However, this came as a surprise to him. "What about me scares you so much?" He asked, slowly walking up to her, and closer. Sitting down right next to her while she as thinking about this for a while. Closing the tiffin and looking down at the water that was flowing over her legs. "I don't know. I know that you won't hurt me, but some how I feel that you might. I know that you can't reject me because I am important for the Kingdom." She said, reminding him of what he told her last night and quickly Barka was feeling guilty over his words. He fisted his hand into a ball, but listened to her. "But I feel like, I understand you never wanted this, neither it I. But we are still here and none of us know what to do." She said. For the first time speaking to him as a mate, and both of them were speaking and listening. That has never happened before. "I am afraid of that.." She said, slowly opening the tiffin again and trying to take a cake but suddenly only her hands felt an empty box. Immediately she looked down, and was confused as ever. "My cake........" She said, completely changing the conversation and the tone of the conversation. He looked down to see it was completely empty. She ate it all and she had no idea about it. Immediately Evi looked at him, sad and disappointed as ever. "Its empty.... How......?" She asked, like he would have an answer for her. Some how, this felt more problematic to her, and more than what happened out there. The King was completely amused by his mate. Never seen anyone like her before, but at this moment he saw complete betrayal and pain that she had in her body. She was purely upset. Barka wanted to smile so badly, but never the less, a small bit came to the corner of his lips. "I will get you some before we go back to the castle." He said, promising her. Not really understanding what he was doing, not understanding where all of this was going.
