Chapter 14

2790 Words
The King walked out of his Kingdom entirely, getting out from there with a small amount of Army behind him. Santo and his brother Rann were there as well. He wasn't alarmed by any of this, but it was a procedure that even the King could not get out of. And Santo being his Beta, he had to take care of his King, whether he liked it or not. And whether Barka wanted him to come or not, that did not bother him much. However, the King walked out of there, and towards the border of the kingdom where he noticed a small bunch of army standing opposite to him as well as Saraam was right in front of him. "Wait for me." Barka said, walking ahead, but Santo was immediately alarmed. "Barca wait.." He tried to hold him back or let them join him, but Barka walked away from there. And once a order was given, even Santo being his best friend, couldn't do anything about it. The vampire King also walked right ahead, making his way to the king.. The tall, large man he was and his skin looked slightly pale but slightly normal too. With almost confidence, they both walked up to each other. No fear of each others power and existence "You have come way to for from where you belong. You and your people can go through many dangerous creatures," Barka said, reminding him. "And yet no one tried to attack us." The Vampire King said back, smiling softly at the man he had always respected. Enemies or not enemies, he knew that Barka was a great king and everyone could see that. Barka then nodded his head softly. "Why did you tell me to come here Saraam? We could have talked while in the kingdom." He said, while the Vampire King slowly looked behind him, and at the large castle in a far end distance from where he was. "It would have been possible that way, but I have heard that you have finally found yourself a queen. I think it would be very difficult for her to see vampires on her first day here." He said, not trying to taunt him, but he knew how it all worked. Barka once again nodded his head as he stood there. "And what can I help you with? I am sure you didn't come here to wish me on my beautiful life with my queen." He said, making the Vampire Kings go ahead. "I have an issue, and it involves my sister." He said to Barka, suddenly making the King lose his smile, while his hand fisted into a ball and tightly, as the veins of his hand started to peer out very quickly. "What happened to Anya?" Barka asked. "Poisoned, she was poisoned by silver. Anya is coming out of death every now and then, trying to live with it and it is getting very difficult for her. And if there is no witch that can help her, it will not take her much time to finally give away and completely let go." He said, and Barka was having a hard time thinking over this. "She is hanging by a thread, and the only one that can help her now is.." "Misi?.." Barka said, and the Vampire King nodded his head. "No one else but her. We reached out to many witches, and they tried their best. The reason why she is still alive, but we were told that what she wasn't just poisoned, but there was also a spell during the time she was attacked. And it is getting very difficult. I want my sister to survive and you are the only one that can help. You and your witch." Saraam, explained everything to him. And right then something changed inside of Barca. He turned around slowly looking at Santo, who knew exactly what Barca was about to do. He did not need confirmation from anyone else, but he new Santo would be there with him forever. "Bring her to the kingdom, we will take care of her." Barka promised the King and that was enough. The Vampire King had this large happy smile and a sign of hope growing inside of him. The man was almost in tears. "Thank you Barka.." He said. "You don't have to thank me, not after what your father did for my father and grandfather. We have to return your favor and Anya means a lot to me. I will do anything in my power to keep her safe and alive." He promised yet again, and immediately the Vampire King wrapped his hand, shaking it with Barca and confirming this. Because the king never lies and gives false hope. He believed in Barka's army and the Kingdom. "She will be brought here on the fifth night from tonight. I hope everything goes well." Saraam let out, backing away. And we will keep everything prepared for her arrival, two of my men will stay with her at all times." Barka said and Saraam agreed to this. That was all that he had to say. Quickly, then the Vampire King turned around, walking away with his Army right behind him and Barka stood right there. Santo slowly walked up to his best friend. "How do you think Evelet will react to this? The Kingdom has seen vampires before, but she has never seen one, and her wolf might react differently. Maybe even go into attack." Santo asked. "That won't happen, I will see to it" Barka said, almost immediately turning around and looking at his best friend. "But she will react a certain way." Santo reminded him,.. "And we can't tell her about this, not yet." Barka said, walking back in to the kingdom and his land, while his Army followed right behind him. His brother Rann walked in closer, rather confused. "Why not? She will understand. I can go talk to Evi, she happens to like me very much." He said, surprising his brother as he raised his eyes. "You mean to say, she actually has that part in her body where she likes people?" Barka asked him, a little amused to even hear something this extreme. Joking and making both his best friend and brother laugh. "Give her time, you are not as sweet as you think you are. And she actually tolerates you very well." Rann said, and this surprised him but did not shock Barka. "Glad to know that," He let out. "But why are we keeping this from her brother?" Rann asked. "I will tell her everything when it's time, Rann, believe me. I don't want to keep her in the dark. But putting all the information about our Kingdom right on her feet, that will be on the first day. It will only create problems for her, it will be hard for Evelet to understand. Let her meet Anya first, everything will settle down later. The entire day went about like nothing ever happened and nothing happened at all. Night had hit eventually and Evi was still in her amazingly large bedroom, nothing to do and she was lying on her bed. Not wanting to use her phone anymore, because just done with technology. At least back home, she had people she could talk to and so many people were there, but as royalty there was not much that she could do here. Immediately, she let out a large huff, sitting up straight and realizing it was dark in the room. She understood that she was in her own head, that was why she couldn't even recognize the most common thing here. She was sitting in darkness the entire time. Evelet turned around at the open balcony, seeing the moon has already come up immediately. "That is it, I can't stay here anymore." She said to herself, quickly getting off of her bed which seemed a little difficult, because she was right in the middle of that large cake she was trapped in. She walked up to the switch, turning the lights ON and everything went on. Almost blinding from everywhere. "Ahhh." She muttered to herself, closing her eyes. "That is it, no more staying here. We need to go out and see things." Evi said, actually speaking to herself, which she had never done before. She knew she was losing her mind here. Immediately she pushed the door open so harshly, so much so that it scared someone that stood right in front of her. "Ahhhhhhh....." A woman, young woman screams, placing her hand on her chest and breathing heavy with her eyes wide open. This did not scared Evi, because she thought it was a caretaker walking here and there. Feeling a presence of someone already. "I am so sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." She said, as the cute blond girl with green eyes looked up at Evi. She was seriously a rare beauty, very gorgeous, very pretty. "That's okay, staying with Barca, fearing has become very natural." She said surprising Evi. "I am sorry, what?" Evi asked, even though Evelet refused to say it out loud, but she was a little jealous to hear her mate's name with her mouth. Evi's eyes started to go black and it was unintentional. She did not even know that she was doing it. But the girl this time, she was definitely afraid. The anger of the queen could be very brutal, she assumed it to be. "I am just his friend since we were kids. Please don't hurt me..........." She said, placing her hands forward and she was trying to protect herself from the Queens anger. That was when Evi realized she was actually angry with her, her eyes had gone red and her wolf was out. Evi then blinked her eyes, coming out of it almost immediately. And this surprised her. "Oh, I am so sorry. I didn't mean to scare you." Evi confessed and Nori knew the truth. "I understand, it was your wolf. I can understand talking about someone else's mate. It can be very frustrating if anyone could do that. But if someone did that to my mate I would have snatched her eyes out." Nori said, almost pretending like she was lunching towards Evi, but she calmed herself down. Her hair now all over her face. "I am just happy you didn't lunch on me. I could have died." Nori said, laughing to herself. But not finding it funny, but kind of funny, because she has lived through it all now. However, this and all of her actions, her behavior and her curtness actually brought a smile on Evi's face as well. She chuckled softly to herself, and walked out of her room. "I am Nori by the way," She said, moving her hand forward and Evi took it as she opened her mouth. But Nori interrupted her. "You don't have to introduce yourself, outside people are still chanting your name outside." Nori said, finding it very funny. "You can go out?" Evi asked, a little confused but hoping. "I can go anywhere, I am not exactly royalty.. You can go as well but with a lot of guards around you. It will get a little difficult, especially at night." She informed, breaking the Queen's heart. It was clearly on her face. Evi was a little disappointed. Nori saw that and was upset for her as well. "Do you want to go outside?" She asked, trying to help her out, and this time her eyes went wide open. "Yes..." Evi said. "Okay, I will like to get some fresh air and get out of this room. I know a place you will love it." Nori said, taking her hand in hers, and without any warning or so, she dragged her out of there. Of course, it was not something she was afraid of. Evi did not find her treat, rather very kind and her aura was that way too. Within no time she had dragged Evi to a different part of the castle. It was a very long walk to where they had to get. And now in the castle it was lighted up and the outside castle it was brighter than ever. "This way." Nori said, taking her towards a section where there was just enormous garden, and as far as her eyes could see. She let go off her hand and walked down the stairs, out into the open grass where everywhere there was a little pond in the corner. Evi could clearly see a pond as well, and there were small orange fishes over there too. It was a very beautiful spot. "Come on, it's very cold out here, very nice." She said. And Evi started walking ahead, while completely taken a back and being mesmerized by the place and the moon's light falling on to them all. Never seen something so gorgeous before. Immediately feeling the cold breeze on her body. Evi was actually feeling happy here. "This is a spot that people love, but they don't have enough time to get here. Barka likes this place as well. But he doesn't come here that often either. And now this can be your place.." "Evi..... just call me Evi.." Evelet, requested. But it was hard for her to so it, but she liked it, actually making her very hopeful. "It's very beautiful here." Evi let out, speaking the honest truth and from her heart. Completely mesmerized by this garden. Suddenly there were fire flies roaming around the place, capturing everything they could as well. Evi's smile started to grow on her, as she looked at the large and well groomed trees, many fountains that were spread around in large detail. It honestly looked like a castle here , and now princess vibes everywhere. But she was a queen. It was just so amazing. "I like it here too." Nori said, while slowly Evi sat down on one of the fountains, looking at the large building that stood in front of her, that would be her house from now on. She did not really feel that awful about this, but only wished that her family could be here with her. It was difficult to be there without them and very easy to stay in her own place as well. Both at the same time. Because it belongs to her and her wolf. "I know all of this can be a little difficult, but give it sometime." Nori said, walking up to her, and sitting close her while looking at the building as well. "I am trying to, but I don't know what is stopping me." Evi confessed. "Fear..." Nori said in a swift motion. "What?" She asked confused. "Fear, it can stop you. I can see that in your eyes sometimes." She said, and even though it was right, it still confused the Queen, as to how she knew about this. "Who is your mate here?" Finally Evi asked her, and right then there was a smile on Nori's face. Santa, the Beta of this Kingdom." She said, sounding so proud of him. "We were all best friends here." She said smiling even brightly. "We both got married a few weeks ago, and I am so happy to be with him." She said, and Evi was stunned as she quickly looked down at her hand, to see her large ring. "I can understand you Evi... Because even though I know he was my mate a long time ago. There was still a fear inside of me. Mostly because I was scared of him. Feared that he might get hurt. He is very important in this castle." She said, pouting her lips, fear peering out of her. "Maybe that is why you are afraid as well." She said, looking straight forward her as Evi squinted her eyes. "You are scared that something might happen to Barka, it can be painful to lose a mate and I heard you lost one as well second time it only gets much difficult." Nori said, only bringing out old wounds, but Evi did not mind. It was better to talk about it then to just keep it in the heart and suffer. But she for sure did not care about the King and his safety. "My queen. The queen mother has called out for you," One of the helpers called out for Evi, alert in both of them. "She wants to eat dinner with you." She said, and immediately both of them nodded their head. This would be Evi's first dinner in the palace, and some how her stomach started to turn. She wasn't hungry, just a little afraid.
