Chapter 8

Large thuds of something extremely heavy and it breaking was something that was vividly being heard throughout the forest. It was something everyone in the pack could hear, and everyone could feel as well. Of course, the king being their Alpha lord, they could sense his distress, even though the forest was far away from where the pack proudly stood. It was still very audible. Even though he was deep into the forest, and miles and miles into the depths as well. Still nothing. Although, the Alpha lord had striped off his shirt, as he stood right in between of stream and surrounded by enormous mountain, rocks everywhere. "AHHHHH......." Barka screams his lungs out, punching through those biouterous stones, and taking off all his anger, his frustration and his irritation at the situation that he was in and was not able to understand this anymore. There were multiple reasons, multiple things to be upset and frustrated about, but none of them were of any indication to his mate. He was just confused with his own self. Immediately he took in all the anger in him, channeling it as he quickly pulled up his hand, rushing towards a large boulder in front of him. "AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH.." He screams yet again, and slams his fisted hand on to the rock, making a large c***k right in the middle of it all. He came in with all of his force, and the punch was so monstrous, and with the strength of an Alpha. While at the same time, a king as well. All of that together was the enormous power of his wolf, the king of all wolves. He did not know what was louder here. His scream of pain, and of not being able to think straight or this loud noise of the rock cracking and breaking, as it fell to the ground, scattered all over the place. While some of them landed in water. "You are still here? I thought you would be done after a while." His grandmother came out of nowhere, and he was so much in his mind that he did not even feel her presence, and this did not confuse her either. She understood his dismay. However, at that moment, Barka stopped what he was doing and taking in a deep breath and letting it out, he was trying his best to be there, but it was difficult for him. He stood there, with his body dripping in sweat, as the light of the moon spread all around, shining on to him. "Is she okay?" He asked, not once looking at her. "I cannot answer that question for you. You have to go and see for yourself." She said, not holding back. And now his was difficult for him to hear. "I don't want to disturb her." He let out, not even facing his grandmother because he was lying to her. She could see that very clearly. "I don't understand men sometimes... especially made." She said, finding this difficult as well. "You so desperately want to go and hold her tight, but you would rather stay here and hurt yourself. Then go touch her, you don't realise this would be much easier for your Queen if you stay with her." She let out, and he did not understand wanted to talk about it. "I am sure your brother told you this." She said. "I might hurt her." He came back, knowing what he was capable of. "You will not hurt her, because if you did, your mate would have been dead." "STOP..." He said, raising his voice for the first time, and she was not affected by that. "You are creating your own pain Barka. I hope you understand that. It might seem to you like the world is hurting you, but the only one capable of doing that is you, and right now you are hurting your mate too and she does not deserve that." She said, as he shut his eyes, done now. "She might not want you, but think about her wolf. Would you rather have her wolf die?" She asked. "GGGGRRRRRR..." And right and moment he lost it, and that was something that she wanted him to feel. And right then he growled and that growl just spread around the forest. It was so disturbing and loud that animals of the forest started to scatter away. Everyone could hear that, the birds from their nests flew away as well, and to the unknown. Knowing this was not the right place to be. However, his grandmother noticed how his eyes had gone red, blood everywhere. And blackness spread in his eyes and his wolf was out. None of them wanted to hurt their grandmother but they were mad. "Your anger is with yourself, not anyone else Barka. Go to her, and sit next to your mate. Because by tomorrow I want my queen to come to her kingdom, where she belongs and she does not belong here. She belongs with us with her people, in that castle and with you." She said to him, a final word she gave him, he too wanted the same. The man calmed himself down. "She will come with us." He assured her, even before he could talk to his mate. Barka knew he was going to make this happen and it it had to be forced, he would take it that far as well. However, whatever was going on outside did not bother Evelet . Evi had no idea about the distress, but only of her own self. But at that moment she was finally awake, slowly opening her eyes which seemed hard. But unfortunately to her, she was only meeting darkness for a few seconds. Evi could feel herself waking up as well. It was very assuring, because she very clearly understood what happened before she fell. Evi remembers falling as well, but after that, it was a big blank feeling. Her breath was slightly heavy, but it was settling down. Evi then looked up at her ceiling, seeing her ceiling properly and noticing those ceiling lights were on but they were very dim. "Are you feeling better?" A voice came, surprising her. She could sense someone but her senses were so messed up that she couldn't understand. Quickly Evi turned to her right to see it was Barca standing by the window and his eyes staying on her the entire time. And his hands were folded together right in front of his chest. She did not know what to say to him, but slowly started to get up. Stunned to be here with him all alone, she still over came her fear of him and sat up straight. However, right at that moment she was struggling a little bit. "Hmmmmm..." She muttered, moving and her hips and hands hurting. Barka saw that, he seemed to be a little affected as well. The man fisted his hand, standing straight as he took a step forward, only wanting to help her. He did not know he was doing this, but Barka was very much so worried about her. "No, I am fine." She said, even though she wasn't and was lying to him. Evi was looking at Barka, as she knew what he was about to do for her and she did not want him to get any closer to him. Barka though, he stopped on his track and his wolf was actually in pain. The King did not ever take orders from anyone, but now she did something no one would ever have the power to do, and for once, for some reason he listened, even though the man was mad, angry, furious. Watching her place her hands on the bed, putting in all of her force she did in fact sit on her bed. "Huuuhhh......" Letting out a small huff. At this moment, Barka did not see any point in beating around the bushes. He knew it was now or never. "We are leaving by tomorrow morning" He said, never taking his eyes off of her, and coming to the point. And Evi sat there looking down at her hands, knowing this was coming. "I am not going anywhere with you, and my answer will not change." She let out, even though she was putting her wolf through immense pain but for once she stood her ground. However, the King did not appreciate it. Rather, his eyes were turning red, and the veins of his hands popping out. "Let me say this again." He muttered, his voice now sounding deadly, vicious as he was staring at Evi, his soon to be Queen. As his blood was boiling in rage. "We........ are leaving......" He let out. "I am not going to go with a man who will not love me, and who will not accept me as a mate." Evi said, clarifying everything she did not wish. However, at her words, Barka smirked. "Don't you think you are doing the same?" He asked. And now she was furious, because Evi knew where he was going with this. "I know who you are, you will never accept me as a mate and I cannot have that. My wolf would rather die than be with you." She said, turning to him. She had no more strength in her to speak, she wasn't feeling as weak as before. But this time Barka was the one who got very upset, more over angry with this statement. He couldn't let that happen. "That will be enough." He said to her once again, now louder than before. Because he had enough of this, as the man walked up to Evi, looking down at his mate. Evi's eyes never left him as well. "And if it is about your pack's protection, I think living with a king and being his mate will only make your pack much more stronger." He said, as she squinted her eyes taken a back, a frown on her face. "Are you trying to threaten me?" She asked, furious at him, but all he could do was smirk at her. "Why are you trying to put me in this position?" She said, starting to shake her head. "I care about my pack.." Evi spoke. "Not enough that you do not want to come with your mate. I am showing you the truth and you are not willing to see the truth. You see a life with that Alpha, but I can provide the same safety and even more." He said giving her the reality, one more chance to say yes, or he was going to do what he thought was right. However, for now he was giving her one more chance to think about all of this. However, Evi looked at him in disbelief. "Why are you making me feel helpless?" She asked, upset, sad, hurt, and mostly in pain. "I am showing you the reality." He said, while slowly Barka bent down and got closer to his mate. A smirk was still on him as he was never taking his eyes off of her. "And the reality is that. You have responsibility over these people and more people that are waiting for you in that Kingdom. People are waiting for their queen." He reminded her. "And the people you never wanted to share with, not even with your mate?" She said almost immediately and reminding him. Shutting him up and bringing up old thoughts. The bedroom and he were quiet for the first time, but not helpless. He stared at her, looking into her large, brown eyes. He did not see fear, but bravery and this stunned him. Slowly, he backed away from her, creating space. Everything she was feeling in her heart had started to calm down for her. "You can say what you want to say, but for tonight you have to rest here." He said, walking back. "Because tomorrow morning, I and my entire family and you are coming with me." He said, slowly turning around and walking right passed her bed, leaving Evi there with no answer wanted. She sat there in pure fear for her life ahead. Quickly, Barka then pulled open both the doors, but he stood there for that one second. Slowly turning to his right. "You are coming with me one way or another Evelet. Even if I have to force you, I will. But you are not staying here, not with him." King Barka said, calling out her name for the first time. Evi immediately grabbed on to her cover, feeling a sense of shiver running down her body as he called out to her this way. Her name sounded so different from his voice, mouth and tone and that was shocking ot her, to a point that she was stunned to speak. But he said all that with full authority. Quickly, Barka walked out of there, leaving her to think about this. Because at this moment, he left her with no choice. He was asking, explaining.
