Chapter 11

"You are not afraid of me, are you?" He asked. This was them for the first time having a communication after hours of silence. How ever, to that question she shook her head. "Should I be afraid of you?" She asked, wanting to know. "No," He said almost immediately. "You should be afraid of yourself." Barka spoke up, driving close to the castle and he started to leave their people behind. How ever, Evi couldn't look away from him, wanting to know more. "Why?. Why would I be afraid of me?" She asked confused but right at that moment, the King stopped his car making the large car go forward and back. She was still so confused. "You have to understand that everything is new for you here, and your reaction will be different. You might say that you don't feel any bond between us. I can understand what ever happened was against your will but now that you are here, you are their Luna." he said, turning to her, looking deep into her eyes. "There will come a side of you, the leadership and the mother's touch inside of you will make you do things you would have never done before." He said, never taking his eyes off of her. But this time her face frowned and lines were forming on her forehead. Growing as she squinted her eyes, confused. And he was amused to see this. "How can you say that?" She asked, challenging him, but this time he got even closer to her, more than she would have liked. She looked at him up and down, thinking about what he was getting into. How ever she did not back away from him. "Because Evelet, I have done that myself." He whispered. "My life is this pack, and my people. The packs that are under me are always protected. I would give my life for my people." He let out, whispering deeply. She gulped, not wanting to, but it was hard. His voice,, tone and answer, all of it made it difficult for her to calm herself around him. "And you might not know this, but I do and you will do the same for your people. The queen inside of you will make you do it." He said, smiling softly at her, which was sinister, and came as a surprise to her. Barka though, he glanced down at her pouting lips, the man too couldn't help himself there, but he looked back at her eyes. Seeing her listening to him well. "And also, because I have gotten to know you very well, you don't even need to become a Queen to support anything, and anyone. You are fire enough in yourself. Maybe you can even take the kingdom yourself without even letting your wolf come out." He said to her, not joking. He could feel her power with in her. Looking deeper into Evi's eyes, he was looking into her soul. He had started to read her. "We are home."He whispered, slowly backing away from his Queen, and Evi did not know what it was but she felt a shiver run down her body. It was so strong, it was as if she was trapped in his car and she had never felt like this in her entire life, not even with Issac. Evi was sweating, it was so strange. But suddenly her body started to move and she looked away from him, forcing herself to look right ahead. But only to see an enormous casual standing in front of her. "What?......." She whispered, shocked at the state that it was. She had never seen anything like this in real life, maybe just in pictures, but actually seeing this castle in itself, and with her own eyes. With every brike, every light, every window, every door. It was just too overwhelming. The Empire was surrounded by a large garden, with lights and lamps lighting, statuses on each and every corner and the staff of the castle coming out taking care of all of Evi's things. Her eyes went wide open as the door right next to her opened up. She did not look right or left, just at the castle. Pulling herself out of the car. She was trying to contain herself. "Welcome to your house, welcome to you are kingdom Evelet.." The king let out those words, enough to make her feel slightly proud of where she was. Her wolf growling in happiness at her own land, but there was a human part inside of her that made her sick to her stomach. It was not just overwhelming to Evi, but everything felt right and wrong at the same time. Her heart telling her one thing but her mind was screaming, that this was wrong. ....................................................................................................................................................................................................... The doors of the castle opened up for them, making another very large noise. So loud that she had to shut her eyes, never the less it stopped. And right inside Evi noticed this enormous large open area. There were stairs on the far end of the large hall. And on the wall there were paintings in every corner of the room, and right in front of her was this large staircase that went both ways. This place was marvellous, just like she would had read it in books. This was just spectacular. Evi walked in, putting her right leg into the castle first, walking in as the Queen mother was right behind, smiling as the Queen of the kingdom had rightfully and finally entered. It was time for her to be here and finally she was there. The maids were all standing far away from her, by the doors of many room, and with their heads down. It was just to overwhelming to her. What ever this word, it seemed like a very small word for her. And for some reason she looked up seeing there were multiple chandeliers that went from the door to the staircase. There are many of them and large. "You must be tired." The Queen mother said, forcing Evi to turn. Nevertheless, she stared at her. "Why don't you go to sleep? And tomorrow morning we can show you around. Let you know about this place. You can even meet your people." She let out. However, Evi had no idea what to do or say. It was a simple "yes" and "no" answer, but her mind was so all over the place that it was hard. The queen mother could clearly see that Evi was in distress as well. It was pretty unfortunate but very clear. Right then Barka walked right past Evi, too close to her but was making his way into the castle. "Prepare something for her to eat. She is hungry." He said, instructing one of the helpers. Evi too looked at one of those helps and noticed her nodding her head and go away. "No...." Evi let out, her first word in this castle. Surprising everyone there, she walked in. However, everyone was still surprised to hear the queen's voice, mostly in the happiest way. How ever the King was not, he turned to her trying to keep a very settled, calm tone with her. "You should eat something. It's been hours." He said. "I just want to go rest," She said, exactly what she wanted to do, looking right at him. "Okay then......" Queen mother said, nodding her head, not wanting to force Evi into anything more than. She has already done that. Immediately, then she took her hand, and pulled her away from there and right past the king. Making their way up the stairs. Most of the staff were bowing to Evi, she honestly had no understanding of her surroundings, mostly her emotions but nevertheless, she started making her way up, watching as there were multiple portraits everywhere. With a no time, they had reached the 4th floor. It did not seem like much of a walk as she had gained her strength yet again. But she was just tired from the day she had. There was still a large number of castle above her but she was glad not to go exploring all that. Quickly, Evi walked up into this floor, which had a huge open area right in the middle. As she walked up she saw there was a small garden and large pillars on each corner, a balcony. Beautiful flowers and a large garden with fountain right in the middle. How ever, there was no light up here in this garden, it was surviving on the light of the moon, which was just beautiful. "This one, here." The Queen mother said, pointing towards the door on the end of the corridor, on the right side. There was this large wooden doors there. "This is your room" She said, as one of the maids who was following behind them quickly pushed the door open, revealing a beautiful bed room. At least 100 times bigger than the room back in her house. This place was beautiful, Evi was stunned to see this place. A large bed right in the middle and an open balcony behind the bed. Enormous it was, the architecture filled with gold, glass, marble and wood. It was just breath taking, beautiful. Evi then walked in, looking around the place. Of course she had never seen anything like this in her life, this all was spectacular. She looked to her right to notice there was her bathroom and a walk in closet. It all, everything was fit for a queen. "What do you think?" The Queen mother asked. Standing there watching her every move as Evi was slowly looking around. "Where is his room?" She asked the very first thing she wanted to say. This did not surprise the Queen mother. Nevertheless, she laughed softly. "Right across yours." She said, pointing at the door right opposite to her. Some how that actually made Evi feel much better knowing they both did not have to stay together at least here. Never the less, it was still a lot to take in. She let out a small breath out, more relaxed than ever. The queen mother couldn't help but understand her completely. "I know this, all of this......." She said moving her hands around. "None of this can be easy for you, not even my grandson. But it had to happen. You can not go too far and so much so against the moon goddess." She said, and Evi looked down at her hands. Embarrassed that she was being so on point and mean to the wrong person. "He has seen a lot and his life do not finally understand the value of mate. It's his anger that makes him do and say things like that, but I don't know what happened today. He changed his mind for the first time, you made him change it." The Queen mother said smiling. "I did not do anything." She said almost immediately. Not giving her any help. However, the queen mother did not feel anyway about this. She wasn't angry with her, rather she understood. "You should go to sleep, get some rest. Tomorrow there is a lot you would have to do." She said, reminding Evi and smiling softly. How ever, Evi tried to smile for her as well, but it seemed hard for her. Slowly the Queen mother walked up to her, understanding that she was far away from her family and this cannot be easy for someone who has never left their house, their land or their pack as well. And so she grabbed, wrapping Evi's around her, giving her all the support and love that she needed. However, even though it was unexpected, the feeling of being held like this was so beautiful. She was a stranger to Evi, but for once she did not feel like a stranger to her. Evi too wrapped her arms around, holding the Queen mother, standing in her warm embrace. "Your mother is just like you, Evelet. The most brave when it comes to the pack, but she also has her own fears and anger. And yet she over came all that. River and you are not that different." The Queen mother said, recalling those moments she had spend time with River, the reason why she loved her. Slowly she pulled away from her, and even though Evi did not want to, she backed off. "I have known your mother a long time, before you were born and sometimes after. You have your mother's blood and your father's blood running in you Evi, and that makes you the strongest leader already. And now you are the queen, something you were born to be. The title you were born to have and take. It will not be easy to wear this title on all day. Even the moon goddess doesn't have a choice. She is a God and yet she has to do things that hurt her, that make her happy, but before all that she has to think about her people. That is the same burden you have on yourself. The same I had, and my son did and now my grandson has it. It will not easy, but when you have a family, you will have a stronger will. It is something you cannot run from. Just trust in yourself, fear if you want to, fear but don't let it consume you." She said, and for the first time the Queen mother was speaking from her heart and this was so real for Evi. Because she had never expected her to be this way. Royalty always scared her but she did not feel fear, with most of them at least. "Now go to sleep, I was see you tomorrow morning." The Queen mother whisper softly, with so much love in her eyes for Evi. Placing her hands on her soft skin, she gave her come pat and slowly the queen mother turned around and walked away from there, as the helper closed the door ride behind. Once again, a large eco was shivering through every corner of the room as the giant doors closed on her. She was the right in the middle, and all alone, watching the echo slowly disappear on its own. Gradually she turned around looking at this place. Immediately, Evi walked towards the bed, taking off her jacket and throwing it on the large king size bed. The doors to the bedroom and the balcony stayed open for her, and so she walked up to the marble balcony as the cold breeze hit her right to her face. Pushing her hair away from her shoulder and behind. At this moment she felt something more inside of her, suddenly feeling an amazing punch of energy, her wolf was alive and awake. Evi then stood on the edge, watching her land, her people and the vast land ahead of her. It never ended. Although it was late at night, people were sleeping or going home, but standing there, watching these new people, her people made a big difference to Evi. She was not happy all this time, but now she felt peace, because for once she felt as if this was where she was supposed to be. She did not feel regret as she saw her pack ahead, but pride, happiness and a urge to protect them.
