Chapter 10

But that did not end there. Isaac, on the other hand, he stood by the large mountain that supported the pack. At that very moment he couldn't help but think that everything Evi had ever promised him was all a lie, everything and every word, every promise made. It was only to him, but never to her. "We have to leave Isaac.." A voice came from behind him, his beta and his best friend came for him, but he did not move away. Not until he saw her completely leave. "We need to go, you don't have to stay here any longer." He said. "You know why she left, right?" Issac asked, but at this moment his Beta had nothing to say. How ever as he spoke, he sounded nothing like himself, he sounded so much dangerous. "Why?" He asked, as Issac smiled to himself. "Power........ she saw power and she left this pack. To keep this pack safe. She left not even thinking about me." He said, and the Beta was confused. "It was her mate. What did you expect her to do?" His Beta asked, and immediately Issac turned to look at him. The danger and anger was pouring out. However, Issac glanced back at her, but now he had no attachment to her, she was not their Luna. The Beta could clearly see the madness that Issac had in his eyes over her love, but now her betrayal was stuck in his eyes as they were going black. And for this one time, he was scared of his own Alpha. Isaac turned around, watching her as she completely disappeared from there. Like she was nothing, like she did not belong here. "But this wasn't the end. She doesn't know it but she will very soon." He said, confusing the Beta. "What do you mean ?" He asked, walking closer to him, but at this moment, all Isaac could do was smile to himself. Knowing it was necessary what she had to experience and he was going to bring her that pain. ........................................................................................................................................................................................................... As of now, the entire Royal family, now that it was completed. It had driven far far away from the pack. At the moment in the King's car, things were a bit different. Evi did not even know how long it had taken for them to reach so far and where they were at that moment, but it did not seem like she cared about it, about any of it in that way. Once she was out of her pack, Evi couldn't help but feel a sense of something breaking inside of her. It was definitely very hard, very difficult and extremely painful. More over even for her wolf as well. But it had seemed like her wolf had adjusted to this sudden change very quickly, and much better than her. But some how, Evi's anger had changed a lot and gotten a little bit more stronger. She felt very strange to be there with him, still difficult for her. None of them had talked to each other and no one had anything to say and that peace that was between them did not seem very wrong either. She, on the other hand, sat there looking right ahead at the road, simply concentrating. How ever, multiple cars are right ahead of them, and multiple cars behind them for protection. Evi was a little tired now and so she sat back on her side of the chair, resting her head on the glass as she was looking out the window watching as the trees from the deep forest right next to her were passing by.. The sunlight of the afternoon sun was falling on to them, making green even greener and making everything even more so beautiful and bright and colorful as well. She wished her wolf could go out for a run, or at least let her wolf out but Evi did not even want to think about moving a muscle, or shifting at that moment. Evi was just getting tired and exhausted from all that she had lived through. Slowly, then she turned to look at Barca, to see what he was doing. Although, it was not her intention to look at him, but she hadn't seen him for so long and Evi wanted to know what was going on with him. She glanced at him, and there she saw the King. She squinted her eyes, seeing nothing new about him. There was nothing human or animal about him, nothing that looked like a living being. There was always a shield on him all the time. She wanted to roll her eyes but was so tired that she simply looked away, she was not interested in anything anymore. Evi simply closed her eyes. This happened very quickly because her eyes had gotten so heavy on her that they shut on their own. Evi stayed there, hoping that sleep would come over her. The only thing that she had control over and nobody could say anything. This was the only thing that would help her completely finish this entire journey without a problem, and his nonsense. Because staying awake seemed very horrible for her. It did not in any way feel like she would be unsafe here with him. Even though he was a stranger, she might not know this guy, might not like him by his attitude, might have heard him being mean and ruthless, but her body and her mind, her soul had completely given away. They knew she was safe with him. She had no fear what so ever, and her body just took over as Evi fell asleep, tired, exhausted from everything she has been over thinking about and lived through. However, her sudden movements alarmed her mate, something he never thought he would ever call anyone, but here she was. That was when Barca noticed how she was fast asleep, and for the first time ever since he had met her, that was when he saw her calm she was. Not angry with him, irritated, frustrated or even sad. She looked at peace, and some how that brought in peace to him as well. The man let out a small huff, calmed himself. And that was the reaction he did not expect. His body felt very settled, and suddenly there was a bump on the road that he did not notice. Immediately, there was a harsh breeze, covering her face with her hair. They blocked his view from her. But Barka though, he knew that couldn't do. There was something in him that was bugging Barka. Immediately, he moved his hand forward, concentrating on the road, and at the same time concentrating on her as well. He then touched her hair, but Barka stopped right there and then. The moment he touched her, Evi moved a little, surprising him. It felt so strange for him in his body, because there was a sense of great power flowing into his body. He fisted his hand tight, letting the feeling stay with him for some time. However, it was overwhelming as it was somehow something even the King could not control. He did not know what this was all about, but couldn't help but think whether this was what everyone talked about, when ever they talked about a mate. Never the less, he was not them, he was a King. And did not over think about none of this. Slowly, then Barka moved her hair away from her face, his fingers touching her cheeks, and her soft skin. And right then Evi moved a little in her seat, getting comfortable. "Hmmmmm..." She hummed, relaxed as ever and like a small child she balled herself in her sleep. Pulling her legs into her seat like a small cocoon. The man couldn't help but smile to himself, it just so happened. Immediately she turned around, completely facing the window this time and resting her head on the glass. Seeing her do all this, the King let out a small laugh, realizing how his work little to nothing. But he turned back, facing right ahead at the road. Knowing there were still a few more hours to go before they would reach his Kingdom, his pack. She should be resting until then, because from now on it would be very difficult for her to be this calm and relaxed. After the position she was going to acquire, being his mate and the Kingdom's queen. None of that was going to be an easy job. He did not want to disturb her. However, this was the first time that Barka had been thinking about someone else, other than his own people. This was new, but he was adapting as well. An eerie sound started to ring in Evi's ears. Evelet did not know where it was coming from, especially because of the fact that her eyes were shut, but that sound started to get louder and louder by the second. Evi felt as if everything around her was wet, everything except for her face. She was awake, but wasn't able to open her eyes.. However, she moved her hand, feeling the same wetness, but right then Evi forced her eyes open, it took her a little bit of pressure and work, but they opened. Unfortunately, for her to only see everything was red. The sky was red, the clouds moving above her were red as well. Slowly she looked down to see the far away mountains were all red as well. Red flowers, bushes, land.. Red all around. Evi squinted her eyes, trying to think of what was going on. "Huuuhhh..." She huffed, slowly pushing her body up. That was when Evi heard the sound of water splashing around her. As it was dripping down her body as well. That was when she realized that where she was, that was not entirely water at all, but blood everywhere. Evi, was scared out of her mind, she wanted to scream but just could not. Her eyes went wide in horror of what this all was. She knew this was a dream, that was clear to her. But she only wished all of this could stop. But at this moment, she once again felt the same feeling of pain because of the fact that she could not leave. Why this was happening to her was a question she wanted answers to. "Please moon goddess...." Evi said, begging for some assistance, for some help. Tears had started to floor down her eyes, she was so afraid now. However, right at that moment, her body started to move around, and her eyes went wide when she realised that she could move. "Huuuhhh. Yes..." Immediately she gasped, happy. And quickly Evi got up, getting out of the water. She was completely covered in blood from her neck to her toes, it was getting heavy for her to get out of there. But as she took every step forward, the blood around her started to splash constantly. Once outside, Evi was gasping for air. Her red hands on her chest, her breath was heavy on her. Her chest was feeling as if it was on fire, Evi's throat was dry. "Please make it stop..." She muttered, shutting her eyes closing, and her ears by her hands. Evi was done there, and suddenly she jumped, and Evi quickly opened her eyes. Only to say blue everywhere. There was a complete color change here. She was so confused as her face frowned, lines forming on her forehead. What had just happened had disappeared, it was almost like the picture had changed. How ever, that was when it all started to make sense to her, she realized that she was back in the car, and out od the dream. Her body moved right and left as the car was making its way to this enormous giant gate that was right in front of her. Evi was having a hard time understanding what was real and her dream, all coming back to her. Although she was safe here. Evi very quickly understood they were in the kingdom that she has only heard about all her life. Seen some pictures of this, but this time it was her actually going in, and this was her own pack as well. Suddenly, she felt this realness in her body that she couldn't even control, a very overwhelming feeling as Evi sat up straight, completely getting out of her sleep. She wasn't even tired, she was alert. She noticed the gates opened up for them, and in a way it did scare her. Mostly because it was so loud out there. The giant metal was now scratching itself on each other. She seemed like the only one who was a little distressed, but for everyone else it was pretty normal. Evi looked up to see the mechanism it took to open these gates that she had never seen before. It was drastic, marvelous as well, but still looking so ancient. However, that was not what alarmed her, it was the people that stood right ahead, that alarmed her. Immediately she let out a large gasp. The Queen sat up straight looking at the people who were only staring at her. For that one second she could see how they were looking at her, like she was a ghost. Something that was not human or even animal like them and this behavior surprised her. But she couldn't help but think that they were shocked as well. Although, after a while, all the cars started to move inside, and people had moved, not wanting to crowd them. But they were giving them space to go in. Evi looked through the window, looking at people who were starting to get excited and happy. That was not the same for Evi. She gulped almost immediately. Although, the King, on the other hand, he glanced at his Luna for a second or two, seeing how she was distressed but he knew that the moment she felt their bond, things would get better for her. He had this strong bond serging through him, it was too strong for him to see and feel whatever she was going through. He then glanced down and noticed her holding her dress tight. "Do not worry," He said, making her look away from her own people and back at him. "Do they all know?" She asked. "Hmm....... everyone does. Everyone can sense their Luna, their queen. You might not understand this now, but you have been the missing piece in everyone's heart for years, as they all say to me." He said, still driving. "You and I both understand that feeling.." She said, correcting him. "It is not only me who didn't want you, didn't want me either." She said, and this got Barka smiling softly, growing on his face.
