Hera’s POV
“Hades Darling, could you do something for me please?” Hera said to the water in the bird fountain located outside her room on Mount Olympian.
Hera saw Hades raise an eyebrow through the water. “Why ever would I do something for you Hera?” Hades asked, leaning back in his throne down in the Underworld. “You do remember that you chose that good for nothing brother of mine over me millennia ago right?”
Hera tsked. “Oh Hades…you’re not still mad over that now are you? I thought we had moved past that eons ago.” She said, shrugging her shoulders seductively. Through her slitted eyes she saw Hades watching every movement she made and smiled inwardly to herself.
Fire burned in Hades' eyes when they moved back up to meet Hera’s. She couldn’t help the shiver of desire that flickered through her when she met Hades’ eyes. Hera might have chosen Zeus over Hades all of those years ago, but it wasn’t because she didn’t desire Hades, it all boiled down to what each of them could offer her.
And unfortunately Zeus offered her dominion over the Gods while Hades only came with a throne in the Underworld. Looking back though, Hera wasn’t so sure if she made the right decision all those years ago by choosing Zeus. Snapping back to the conversation going on, Hera smiled slyly at Hades.
“This favor of mine would cause chaos for that brother of yours.” She said, glancing down at her nails as if bored in order to hide her anticipation.
This peeked Hades’ interest and caused him to sit up straight in his massive throne. It was a beautiful throne carved from the black trees found in Tartarus and designed to look as if Hades was sitting on a chair of thorns. “Do go on my lovely Hera.”
Hera’s head jerked up at the endearment, but she quickly masked her surprise and smiled devilishly. “I have a little mischief to spread, but I need Zeus…occupied…while I do it.” Hera paused a moment before asking coyly, “Know anyone that could be a distraction that will keep Zeus away for a few days?”
Hades leaned back in his throne, digesting Hera’s words and contemplating whether he wanted to help her or not. Hera was afraid Hades might say no and not help. Afterall, after choosing Zeus over Hades all those years ago Hera hasn’t done anything to stop the torture that Zeus constantly put Hades through.
The biggest one being flaunting his win of Hera in Hades’ face. Even after all this time, and many infidelities on both sides, Zeus still loved to boast about how he won the ‘most precious prize of all’. Hera snorted quietly to herself while she waited for Hades to mull over her request. If Hades said no, Hera didn’t know how she would accomplish her goal.
After a few tense moments where Hera held her breath in apprehension, Hades finally spoke. “You know I was never able to deny you anything My Love.” He said, sighing. “Tell me what you need and I will make it happen.”
Hera’s eye glistened with tears which she blinked away, but not before Hades saw them and frowned. But he didn’t bring them up or ask why they were there. This caused Hera to be all the more grateful to him.
Hera cleared her throat before she dove into her plan and what she needed from Hades. When Hera was done relaying her plan Hades smiled devilishly, which enhanced his handsome features and made her heart skip.
‘Get ahold of yourself Hera.’ She chided herself inwardly. ‘You’re acting like a schoolgirl with a crush right now.’
Unknown to Hera, Hades caught her reaction and grinned. He always suspected that Hera only chose Zeus in order to be Queen of the Gods. Maybe there was a way to turn this plan of hers to favor Hades as well. “You, my Dear, are a sinister woman when you want to be. I am one hundred percent on board with your plan.”
Hera turned away before Hades could see her blush. When she composed herself she turned back to Hades with determination in her eyes. “You know what your role is. Do not let Zeus come back for five days.” She nodded before waving her hand to disperse the connection in the water.
Later that morning Hera appeared before Alpha Antonio and whispered in his ear that he should request another peace summit with the Blood Moon pack. Encouraging him to not take no for an answer and to do anything necessary to ensure that the summit took place. The fate of your people depends on this alliance, she whispered softly to him.
Alpha Antonio frowned in his seat at the breakfast table. Luna Rose saw this and inquired as to what was bothering her husband. “We need to try another peace summit with the Blood Moon pack.” He proclaimed. “It is vital for the survival of our Crescent Bolt pack.”
Luna Rose halted the spoon that was making its way to her mouth and said in surprise, “I thought we were done trying to make peace with the Blood Moon pack after the last peace summit almost ended in war.”
Alpha Antonio furrowed his brow and waved away her concern. “Things will be different this time around. I have a good feeling.”
Luna Rose was still unsure about attempting another peace summit with the Blood Moon pack but nodded her head to her husband. Alpha Antonio seemed lost in thought and didn’t notice his wife’s apprehension or her acknowledgement.
Meanwhile in the Blood Moon pack Beta Sebastian was in a deep sleep, running through the woods, when suddenly the most beautiful woman he’d ever seen appeared before him. Sebastian halted in his tracks and eyed the woman suspiciously and lustily.
“Who are you?” His wolf spoke out loud.
The woman moved closer to the wolf and began to pet his thick fur the color of dying leaves in the fall. “Such a beautiful wolf.” She crooned, while scratching him behind the ear. Sebastian couldn’t stop the feeling of contentment that washed over him from her actions. He moaned in pleasure and moved closer to the stranger stroking him.
After a while the woman spoke again. “Can you do something for me, beautiful wolf?” She asked seductively.
Sebastian wagged his tail. “Anything for you beautiful stranger.”
The woman grinned to herself while continuing to pet the massive wolf into submission. “When the Crescent Bolt pack requests another peace summit, could you convince your Alpha to say yes?”
Sebastian stiffened in her hands and turned his eyes towards her suspiciously. “Why would I do that?” He asked harshly.
The woman smiled down at Sebastian reassuringly. “You will find what you have been looking for in the Crescent Bolt pack dear Sebastian. All you need to do is convince your Alpha to grant them their peace summit and it will be yours.”
Sebastian eyed her with even more suspicion. “How do you know who I am? And what do you know of what I want?”
The woman smiled down at Sebastian and gave his wolf a kiss above his eyes. “I know a lot of things beautiful wolf. Everything you have been searching for can be yours, all you have to do is seize it.” She whispered in his ear before sending him from his dream.
Sebastian awoke with a start. Searching his surroundings for the mystery woman. Shaking his head to clear the dream that seemed so vivid to him, Sebastian stretched his long frame in his bed and stared down at the naked she-wolf that laid next to him. Sebastian leaned over to wake his bedmate up for a bit of morning fun when he heard his Alpha yell through their mind link.
‘SEBASTIAN! Get down here! Those f*****g do gooders are requesting another damn peace summit from us. Apparently your rampage thirty years ago wasn’t enough to scare them off for good.’ Alpha Lucas growled in Sebastian’s head.
Sebastian paused in surprise. ‘It can’t be a coincidence that I dream about a woman asking me to convince Lucas to accept the Crecent Bolt packs peace summit request, only to wake up and hear that they actually requested one. Who was that woman?’ He thought to himself without bothering to respond to his Alpha.
Frowning, Sebastian remembered what the woman whispered in his ear right before he woke up. Could what he has been looking for all this time really be in the Crescent Bolt pack? Before Sebastian could ponder that thought for long he received a mind link from his Alpha, ‘Sebastian, leave the she-wolf that you are with and get down here NOW’.
‘I am on my way now Lucas. Do calm down before I get there.’ Sebastian glanced regretfully towards the naked back of his bedmate, who’s name he’d already forgotten, and got out of bed to meet with his Alpha.
Hera stood hidden in the corner of Alpha Lucas’ office smiling to herself. Beta Sebastian was currently telling Alpha Lucas how it would be a good idea to at least hear out what Alpha Antonio has to offer.
Her plan was coming along nicely.
