1. DAMIAN

1000 Words
CHAPTER ONE DAMIAN Slender but curvaceous body, firm hips with long legs hidden under a pair of jeans. Now I could gladly have those legs wrapped around me. My eyes traveled up to her stomach, up to the rather perky breasts. Those would fit perfectly into my palms. I stopped at her neck, the vein popping in the jugular, clawing at me, a pang of hunger racing through me. I almost cussed out loud, knowing there was sweet, warm human blood flowing through that very vein now. Pulling at the last shreds of control, I raise my gaze to her full lips, wishing I could pull her right now and kiss her senseless.   “May I help you?” Her voice drew me out of my moment of fantasy.   She shifted on her legs and that’s when I pulled my gaze to meet hers.   “Hi,” I supposed that was what a normal guy would say but then I was not really a normal guy, now was I?   “Hi,” Her eyes narrowed suspiciously before her lips parted again,” If you are here for Chloe then you better disappear right now. She is only sixteen and you should be ashamed of yourself!”   Chloe? Who the hell was Chloe? Shifting my weight, I pocketed my left hand.   “Now I have no idea who Chloe is but if that is how you welcome your new neighbors then I’m quite for the time on my vacation here,”   “Neighbor?”   “I’m your new neighbor next door. Damian Scott,” I pushed my palm open, feeling it itching for her touch already.   “Oh. I-I’m really sorry,” she stuttered, color flashing on her cheeks.   “No its okay,”   Shaking the f*****g hand mortal, I snarled on the inside.   “I really have no idea why I said that. I just thought you were after my sister and I kind of concluded the worst of you without asking first. I really should stop talking now,” she finally muttered but in a sweet way, I found the rumbling irresistibly sexy.   “No offense taken. Now it would be my pleasure to know the name of my new neighbor,” and shake her hand  just so I could feel her skin.   “I’m Jenifer Morrison. It’s really nice to meet you,” Just nice?   She finally lifted her hand, placing it on my open arm. As soon as our skins touched, a wave of heat skidded all over my body. I cussed my vampire sensations for being a thousand times heightened. But that f*****g heat was what I needed; it was the perfect distraction.   “Well, I think you can let go of my hand now,” she interjected.   “Of course. I’ll see you around I suppose?”   “Is that a question? I mean I live right next door,” She bit her bottom lip and my gaze dropped to that lip, a low hiss leaving my lips.   “See you later,” I turned around abruptly.   Speeding off back to my empty house, I cussed at myself. I have never been this distracted before, let alone allow myself get distracted. And why the f**k would I think I needed distraction? I’m a vampire and the last thing I needed was some human as a distraction tool. I paced around in my living room for quite a while until I heard the front door open. I didn’t have to turn around to know who it was but I still did.   “Jace,” I breathed out, staring at the slightly younger man. He stared hard at me but then a smile broke out on his face as he hugged me. I cringed at that pushing him away from me with little to no effort.   “I’m not a girl,” I pointed out.   “I missed you too Damian,” he plopped down on my new maroon couch.   “What do you want? “I asked.   “It’s been four hundred and sixty years man. Lighten up a little for your little bro,”   I sighed, joining him on the couch. Four hundred and sixty years and yet it only felt like yesterday. I hated being back here but if father, the self-proclaimed king of the Vampires, had not stated it was extremely important, I would have gladly stayed put in Miami.   “You know that you still need to see the old man right?” Jace said in a low voice.   “I know,” I sighed yet again, subduing the anger in my system at the mere thought of that f*****g old man.   Silence engulfed the huge room and I was forced to shut my mind off the memories of this damn town; the town I once loved so much, the town thati was once my hometown, the same town that mercilessly tore away the last pieces humanity that had clung to my soul years ago; the same town I now loathed to my core. Now I really needed a distraction.   “Can I ask you a question?” Jace nodded and I opened my lips.   ” The Morrison girl next door,” I paused before continuing,” What do you know about her?”   “That more than half the guys in her school wish they could have a piece of her,” I could almost taste the admiration in his voice. I almost snarled out in jealous.   “She is a teacher?”   “Chloe? She is only sixteen dude,” So Chloe was her sister.   “Not her, the older one,”   “Not sure what her name is but she works at the bakery downtown. She is pretty boring if you ask me,” He answered.   Boring is what makes her interesting and definitely worth my attention.
