The song of the birds in the tree outside the window is beautiful.
I woke up again. As I sat up, I stretched out my hand.
"I want to die..."
But I was afraid of what happened last night. If this ghost wants to kill me, why was I scared?
"Zzzzzzzzzzz..."
I turned to where the sound was coming from. Wow, there she was on the bed. On the bed I was actually sleeping on. In short, we're next to each other! We're next to each other!
thud
I kicked him to the floor and heard him hit his head, so I covered my mouth.
"Oh my God."
He slowly sat up while holding her head in pain.
"S-sorry!"
"G-good morning, my wife. You woke up beautifully. Sweet," he said, smiling.
"Ha-ha-ha. Does it hurt?"
Is he in pain? He's human. Look at his forehead, it's red. He's in pain!
"Just one kiss and it'll all be better," he said, leaning in for a kiss.
"Sorry, but lips don’t relieve the pain." I threw a pillow in his face, which he removed, frowning.
I stood up and unexpectedly...
“Truuoooooooot,” my stomach grumbled.
"Are you hungry?"
What a bummer! You're embarrassing, Lienel! "I... I think you're all right... I'll eat first before I go."
"You're leaving? You're leaving me?" he said, and I felt him sit up in surprise. I looked at the expression on her face. One of her eyes looked sad, and his pretty face looked serious. His lips were pressed tightly together. I avoided eye contact as he looked at me. God, what's wrong with me? I suddenly felt embarrassed under his gaze. What a bummer!
"Come on, let's eat." He said and started to leave.
"O-oh... Do you want me to follow you?" I asked, but he didn't answer. But I followed her anyway. We walked along the path I had taken last night. So, I found myself holding the hem of his clothes. He looked at me. Not at me, but at my hand. I slowly pulled it away. It's so awkward.
"Please... don't force yourself," he said, and I was surprised and nervous when he grabbed my hand and put it back on his arm. "Hold on tight, without hesitation. I won't let you down."
gulp
If you say so... I've no choice but to ... accept it. I lowered my head, and let my fear be felt through my arm against him. As if we were about to step outside of the room, I was already trembling. Please, please... I closed my eyes.
Hug
Suddenly he hugged me from behind. "Start running. I'm with you," he whispered behind my ear. Goosebumps covered my skin, but I no longer thought about my fear. It felt like... "You're safe here." I'm safe here. He said it at the same time as I was thinking.
I began to walk forward. Despite the difficult road ahead, I knew he'd follow me. He'd embrace me. He wouldn't leave me. He'd save me. That was what those hugs seemed to convey.
When we reached the stairs, he slowly released himself from the embrace. There was still more height to climb. Which floor is this?
I remembered what he had done to me before he left the ship. "Let's go." He got off first and held out his hand to invite me in. "W-why do we have to walk? You can take me to our destination right now. Right now," I said to make amends.
"If I don't, I won't be able to hug you. Close your eyes."
"W-why?"
"You want to get there right away, don't you?" I closed my eyes for a moment, but opened them again when I felt a strong gust of wind. I hadn't expected to see his eyes closed when I opened mine either. "Y-your eyes. N-no!"
I sat down, and my reaction was unexpected. Suddenly there were a lot of people. I looked around. When I looked around, there were girls in uniforms sitting at one of the tables in a cafeteria-like area. They looked like Sailor Moon, only prettier.
"Master!" The girls shouted, looking at Kaiser.
I didn't expect to see a cafeteria full of people. Is this a temple? A man ran towards us with a tray in his hand.
"Kaiser! Oh, wow! Your wife is beautiful! Is she your wife? Hello, I'm Tony, short for Gluttony. Nice to meet you."
"You already said she's my wife. Why are you asking again!" Kaiser replied curtly and walked away.
His eyes... empty.
"Kuawaaaaaa! Master! Just one look, please!" Shouting in the cafeteria.
"Master Kaiser! Visit my room, please!"
"Master! Just a quick glance!"
"You're so pretty!"
"Kaiser is so pretty, isn't he?" Tony asked.
Tony held out his hand to me and I took it to stand up.
I didn't respond, and he pushed me to a chair at a table filled with food. There were only two chairs and the table was set extravagantly. "Have a seat, please. I don't want Kaiser to complain, so ... here. By the way, what is Kaiser's wife's name?"
"L-Lienel... and I'm not Kaiser's wife." I said and silenced everyone. The shouting stopped. The shouting stopped. The conversations fell silent. There was no more whispering either.
"H-huh?" Tony.
Why is everyone surprised? What's so surprising about it?
