Chapter 5

"What did you find?" Bryan asked his assistant, as he stood in the front of the surveillance room of the luxury five-star hotel.

"Sir, I have erased the CCTV recording, and here it is," Mark showed Bryan the tape of the event hall where he was drugged.

Bryan watched the tape with furrowed brows, seeing how Mike got the bartender to spike the entire bottle of drink that he had given to him the previous night.

"What should I do about Mike, sir?" Mark asked, seeing the chilling aura emanating from Bryan's cold expression.

Bryan was aware that if he pressed charges against Mike, his father would find out, because Mike's father was a very influential politician in Ashland.

"Let it slide. I know how to deal with Mike on my own. Find the hostel room that the young lady stayed in and bring her to me," Bryan walked away with the tablet that the CCTV footage had been copied to.

"Okay, sir," Mark replied and scurried away to carry out Bryan's orders.

When Bryan got to his black sports car, just as the valet passed him his car key, his phone rang, and he brought it out to see if Mark had done as he was instructed.

However, when Bryan brought out his phone to see who was calling him, he was stunned to see his mother's name flashing on the phone screen.

Bryan frowned and answered his mother's call.

"Hello, Mom."

"Bryan, what did you do with that young woman in the hotel?"

"Mom..." Bryan's brows furrowed. How did his family find out?

"Mom, I did not do anything with her. It was all a misunderstanding," Bryan tried to explain, but his mother cut him off.

"Bryan, we expect the best from you now that you've returned to the west. And yet, you went ahead and slept with a chubby, clumsy woman. What do you expect the rest of the top-tier families in Ashland to say about us?" Scarlet Anderson asked.

Ever since she saw the video of her son and that chubby young woman in the hotel, she had been furious.

"Mom, it's all a misunderstanding. I did not do anything with her," Bryan tried to lie, but his mother cut him off.

"Find that girl, Bryan, and ensure that you did not sleep with her without any protection. I did my research about her as soon as I saw you trending on the university forum. Do not forget that Ashley is also a student at Ashland's top-tier private university," Scarlet said, and Bryan is at a loss for words.

"Mom, how are you sure that I slept with her? Did you watch my nàked videos?" Bryan was furious, and his mother scoffed.

"What's there to see? I have seen you nàked since you were a baby, and you think it's a sin if I get to watch your nàked videos. I do not want that chubby girl as my future daughter-in-law. So get rid of her, or you can expect me to do it for you." Scarlet ended the call, and Bryan's expression was icy.

"Mm..." Bryan breathed out heavily. The last thing he wanted was for his mother to do anything to the young woman.

As much as Bryan hated to admit his mistake, he did not want to face that young woman again. Not because she is ugly, but for the fact that he did not want to be reminded of his sins with her.

Bryan sat in his car silently. After a while, he picked up his phone and contacted Mark.

"Hello, Mark. Have you found her?"

"Yes, boss. I've located her hostel."

"Good. Just give the pill to her and let her drink it in your presence. That should take care of everything," Bryan said, as he was gradually developing a headache.

"I will do just that, sir," Mark said, and the call disconnected.

Bryan started his car and drove back to his own boy's hostel at the university campus.

When Bryan arrived, Mike smiled upon seeing Bryan in the boy's hostel.

Bryan should have chosen to come to school from home, but he preferred to stay on campus so that he experienced a normal life as a student.

"Bryan. Is it true that you slept with that chubby nerd last night?" Mike asked, while the other guys in the block all turned to look at Bryan, wanting to hear the full story.

They had all assumed Bryan was gay. He did not like to see a woman admiring him, and he rarely conversed with others.

Bryan's gaze darkened when he heard Mike's question.

Instead of responding to Mike's question, Bryan rushed to meet Mike and he caught Mike by his shirt.

"You fụcking i***t! What did you drug me with last night?" Bryan attacked Mike, not minding that they were friends or from the top-tier families.

"Bryan!" The other guys rushed to pull them apart as they saw blood spurting out from Mike's mouth.

Mike was also tall and masculine like Bryan, but he did not feel bad that Bryan attacked him.

Mike smirked and taunted Bryan, "Why are you so angry? Are you gay or what? What's there to be angry about if you slept with that chubby nerd?"

"Mike!" The other guys pulled Mike away and dragged him off to the university clinic.

Bryan was so furious. He did not want to be reminded of his sins with that young woman. He did not know her name, and he did not care to log online to check about her or her profile either.

"Bryan, you do not have to be angry about what happened," Tom Wilson said as he walked up to meet Bryan. They just finished their first year, preparing to enter the second year.

Bryan glared at Tom and did not say anything to him.

"I did not sleep with that lady, and you all should desist from spreading false rumors about me. If this continues, I will file a report against any student that is found defaming my reputation," Bryan said coldly, and the rest of the boys nodded.

"You have nothing to worry about, Bryan. I will tell my PR to manage the trending news for you," Tom said. He was a fair-skinned man, tall and slim compared to Bryan. He looked up to Bryan like his older brother and future brother-in-law, as he knew that his twin sister, Amanda, liked Bryan.

"Excuse me," Bryan retreated back to his personal hostel and stayed there throughout the day. He did not want to return home or face his family either, as he was still irritated. The memories of the chubby girl's body haunted him.

Her moans, her pleas for his mercy, her entire being crushed by him haunted him, and he could not seem to get her out of his mind. How he had kissed her like she was his wife.

Bryan was repulsed by the thought of it. He wanted to sleep with his wife alone. He did not want to create a scandal in his life and he avoided girls for that particular reason.

Bryan knew that the downfall of a man was too many women. And he did not want to have a record with any woman except his wife. Even if they were to get divorced in the future, he did not want to ruin his reputation, and now his reputation was ruined.

"Bryan, the Dean summoned you to his office because of your fight with Mike," Tom came to call Bryan.

Bryan was not sleeping even as he tried to sleep. The moment he shut his eyes, his mind envisioned the CCTV footage of his entire encounter with the lady. He could not believe the tape, and he did not want anyone to see it, neither did he have the heart to delete it. Now, his mother had already watched it. How could he face his family or take over his father's business with that kind of reputation?

Bryan was enraged, but he got out of his bed and went to see the Dean of the private university at his office.
