Chapter 1 "All you have to do is follow my instructions" "But dad, I don't…" "Don't worry everything will be fine once you get married to the Alpha". Mia looked at her dad former beta Adrian as he tries to break the eerie silence between the both of them. Mia has lived in the crescentmoon pack her entire life not knowing any other thing except the fact that she is a weak omega and the daughter of the former beta who had a duel and had betrayed the alpha king Stephan. She has never seen Stephan before as she has only heard of him. Being a weak omega, she has being bullied all her life for being different from the rest of the pack members. She does the dishes, clean up the mess of the other pack members and run errands as well. She was never allowed to sit and eat with the rest of the pack members. When the news of her getting married Stephan was announced to her, she knew there is an interior motive behind it but she dares not ask why. "I don't want to get married yet father, I am more concerned about building my inner wolf to be strong. I am tired…." Mia was cut short by her father. "And that is why you have to get married to Alpha Stephan. You are of no use to the pack. You are just a weak omega with a weak wolf…. Maybe…. Just maybe getting married to the Alpha Stephan would make you more presentable to the pack" Her father responded. "But father, it's not my fault that I am a weak omega" Mia responded as tears rolled down her face uncontrollably. She had being mocked numerous times. Ever seen Mia found out she is an omega, not just an omega but an omega with a weak wolf she had endured hardship both from her father and the pack members. Mia's mother died just before she found out she was an omega and that was the last time she had ever being treated with love. After her mother died, everyone treated her treated her horribly. It becames worse when her father was demoted from the position of the beta for a crime he committed that she knows nothing of. She had being bullied countless times and most times she is left to cater to her wounds and would cry herself to bed every night. Living the life of a servant that even the other omega's didn't want around was a hard life she had to work for, trying to stay under the radar while building her inner wolf so that one day she would have her freedom and live a life free from torture and torment. The news of her getting married to the alpha king Stephan had really ruined her plan. She doesn't know if getting married to him would be the end of her suffering or just the beginning of her suffering and her father is not making it any easy for her. Mia knew she need to do something to confirm the status of her marriage with Alpha Stephan before it is too late. She walked up to her father who was busy reading through some papers of agreement which she does not know what it is about but she is more concerned about her getting married to the alpha king "Father, please can I have just one meeting with the Alpha king Stephan…" Just before she could continue, her father cut her short again as she was trying to avoid the look in his eyes. "And why would you want to meet with him Mia?" Her father asked her with so much anger written all over his face. "I believe it is necessary for me to meet with who I will be mated with and there should be a level of understanding between us before the marriage" Mia responded. "And what good will that do for you Mia?" Her father asked her again "Father! You don't care about me at all, all you care about is what you stand to gain by marrying me off to the alpha king!" Mia yelled at her father for the first time in her life and she did this out of the pain of hatred, rejection and maltreatment she has had to face over the years. "Exactly!, All I care about is you getting married to the alpha king Stephan so shut up and get inside your room and I am sure you have some cleaning to do". Mia's father responded not caring about the pain in his daughter's eyes. Mia lives in the small corner of the room inside the basement in the omega's quaters full of servants that have their own rooms in the darkness of the quaters filled with heat. Her small mattress was laid between the corners with scraps of old blanket to keep herself warm at night as she spents most of her day doing laundry's and running errands. Her inner wolf was weak as she barely eats good food and she was not allowed to train with the rest of the omega's. Most times she was treated as an outcast from the rest of the pack members as they would always mock her for being a weak omega. The only werewolf Mia had as a friend was Nadia, Nadia is also a werewolf of the crescentmoon pack but she is stronger than Mia. "Nadia, I want to escape. I am tired of this life I am living. My inner wolf is not getting stronger. I want to have my own freedom. Everyone treats me like an outcast here" Mia told Nadia. "Are you insane Mia, do I need to remind you the punishment you will get if you get caught trying to escape. The punishment is worse than death!" Nadia responded. "I know…. I'm just tired of living like this and my father told me I have to…" their conversation was cut short as Mia's father called Mia. "I have to go now Nadia, we will talk tomorrow. Thank you for listening to me… you are my only and true friend Nadia". Mia told Nadia as she stood up to leave. "I heard you are planning to escape" Mia's father questioned her. "N…noo…noo, that's not true father. I … I … I do not plan to escape". Mia responded. "So why are you stammering Mia!, This is simple… all you have to do is to marry the alpha king and….." Mia's father left his sentence unfinished. "And what father?, Tell me and what father?" Mia asked as the curiosity in her flew up to the extend that she could feel her inner wolf wiggle a bit. "That is none of your business Mia, all you have to do is marry the Alpha king and everything will be fine otherwise this is just the beginning of your sad and wretched life Mia" her father responded. "But father…" Mia was cut short by her father again. "Don't you dare call me father Mia!" Her father responded as he walked out on her. She was devastated, each of her father's words hit her hard. She just wished her father would love her and support her. Mia had to go to bed with an heavy heart as she thinks about all her father have said. As usual, Mia had to wake up by four o'clock in the morning to clean all the rooms, heading to the kitchen to prepare the day's meal. She had a very short sleep as she was thinking about her marriage to the alpha and her other option to escape before the marriage. "Her dad's warning keep ringing in her head as he warns her not to make any drastic move as she is being monitored and if she truly loves her life she will take his instructions. Going through each room, Mia started cleaning making sure she left no stone unturned. "You have to clean that room also" Aiden who is the alpha's beta told Mia in a very authoritative tone". "But, I don't usually clean that room… I mean it's not my duty to clean that room beta Aiden" Mia responded trembling as she dares not look Aiden in the eyes. "What right do you have to complain Mia, least I remind that you are just an ordinary omega with a very very very… weak inner wolf. I could punish you right here and now and there's nothing anyone would do about it….. not even your father who is a traitor!". Aiden shouted at Mia. With the hurtful insult, Mia stood there and and looked up and asked the moon goodess. "Why me?, What have I done to you to deserve this kind of life" Mia asked the moon goodess as tears rolled down her cheek. She cleaned up her tears and walked towards the last door. Mia knocked on the last door to get it cleaned up. As she knocked again with no response, she decided to go in. She opened the door slowly just to be sure if anyone was inside or not. "I am here to clean the room" Mia announced as she made her way into the room. "Is there anybody around?" As she said aloud with no response, Mia started cleaning the room as she tucked in the bedsheets and cleaned the shelf. Just as she continued cleaning the room, Mia felt the presence of a figure walking slowly and creepy behind her as it sent her body into a flight or fight response. "Who could it be?, Is she in danger?"
