RAYLEE POV
We decided to let our wolves out for a quick run before preparing for my mother’s visit. I always felt more relaxed after a run. Afterwards, we were just sitting around the kitchen waiting for ten AM to roll around when my phone dinged. I checked the time, nine-thirty AM. It must be my mum.
“Who was that, my love?” Cor asked from beside me, having noticed my scrunched-up face.
“Oh, just my mum wondering if she needed to bring anything. I told her we were all good,” I said, and put my phone away.
About half an hour later, I heard a car approaching and my heart rate started to speed up, even though our wolves said it would be OK, I couldn't help but be nervous.
Cor put his arms around me to reassure me and I also felt Jada's calming waves.
