I woke to the sun filtering in through the large bay window in our new home…our home, it had such a nice ring to it. I never thought I’d settle down, find my mate and have pups. But here we are and it was the best thing in the whole world.
I looked down at my peacefully sleeping mate. She was so beautiful, even when her hair was a mess and she was drooling on my chest. I chuckled quietly.
I gently rubbed circles on her back, the sparks still seemed so much stronger.
I think whatever happened last night strengthened our bond even more, though I didn’t think that was possible.
