“How could you do this to me? So it’s because of her he left me a few days before our wedding” Elsie sobs as she stares at the picture of Dan and a lady all cozy up.

“Elsie? Let me see that” Kim says as she takes the phone from her hand.

She is disappointed when she sees the picture of Dan, Elsie’s ex, with a lady just a few weeks after he dumped Elsie.

“Wow, how could he even do this?” Kim said in a concerned tone as she looked at Elsie who looked lost in thoughts with tears dropping slowly from her eyes.

She pitied her friend. She could tell she was going through a lot.

She bent down and held her tightly.

“You’ll be fine, it’s just a matter of time and you’ll get over everything” Kim assured her.

“The pain I’ve been feeling these past weeks is nothing compared to what I’m feeling now. Maybe it’s because I hate the thought of another lady being with him or it’s the fact that he moved on so easily in just a few weeks. Did he ever even love me?” Elsie thought.

Just as Elsie was still thinking about the whole situation and how her perfect life just came crashing at her feet, a woman entered the office and approached them.

She was filled with so much aura and her perfume filled the entire place with her expensive perfume.

Behind her were two hefty bodyguards.

“Good day, I have an appointment with Mr. Jeremy, the fashion designer,” the lady said.

“Alright, I believe you are the one he has been expecting, Mrs Lucas right?” Kim said as she glanced through her laptop in search of her appointment.

“Yes that’s right,” the lady replied, flashing a warm smile at Kim.

“Alright, please come with me” Kim ushered the woman but just as she was about to follow Kim, she looked at Elsie and saw tears in her eyes which she was trying to hide.

“Young lady, are you okay? the lady asked Kim.

“Yes I’m fine. I’m just a bit at the edge but I’ll join you soon so sorry you had to meet me this way” Elsie manages to say.

“Oh no, you don’t have to be sorry. We all go through a phase at any point in our lives. Here is my card, you can call me anytime you need my help and I’ll be available. For you, I won’t charge” the lady said as she hands her card to Elsie, rubs her shoulder and follows Kim who leads her to Jeremy’s office.

Elsie scans the card the woman handed to her.

“Psychologist/ therapist” Elsie reads out loud.

“I don’t need a therapist, I’m fine” Elsie says as she angrily shoves the card into her bag and cleans her face one more time before moving to Jeremy’s office.

“Sir, Mrs Lucas is here” Kim tells Jeremy as she enters his office. She rolls her eyes at Sharon who was seated comfortably on the chair sipping wine.

“A client is here. I should get going then I’ll see you later” Sharon moves over to hug Jeremy and leaves the office.

“Yes, you should leave and not return,” Kim said angrily.

“Bring her in and where is Elsie?” Jeremy asked Kim with a stern look on his face.

“She is coming sir” Kim leaves the office.

“You can go in ma” Kim tells the lady and she lets out a sigh of relief as she sees Elsie approaching the office.

“Thank goodness you are here. He was already asking of you” Kim tells Elsie who just nods her head at her and enters the office.

“You are welcome ma, I’m so glad to have you here. I promise to give you nothing but the best and yes that’s my assistant, Elsie” Jeremy points to Elsie who walks into the office and sits on a chair.

“Okay, we have already met though. She is a nice girl” the lady says, smiling.

Elsie just nods her head and forces out a little smile for the woman.

“Ah, yes she is”Jeremy forces out a fake laugh.

“So ma, what type of dress do you need?” Jeremy asks the woman.

“My daughter is getting married but she is not around now and she won’t be coming back until the day of her wedding so I’m the one taking care of her wedding dress and the wedding preparations. I need you to make her wedding dress, I want a style that will make her stand out, something unique” the lady happily tells Jeremy.

“Mmm, we have some exceptional designs that I’m sure your daughter would love. Elsie, show her the designs” Jeremy rolls his chair round.

Elsie moves over to where the woman is seated and shows her some styles.

The woman is impressed with all the design Elsie showed her.

“They are all lovely but I would like my daughter to choose by herself” the lady says.

“That won’t be a problem ma, we can send the designs to her and then she’ll make her choice” Elsie replies.

“That will be perfect, let me get my phone so we can send the designs to her” the lady responds.

They send the designs to her daughter and she chooses the ball gown design with turtle neck and diamonds on the chest region.

“I felt she was going to go for this one” the lady said, smiling happily.

“It’s really gorgeous and it’ll fit her perfectly. Be rest assured that we will give you nothing but the best ma” Elsie assures the woman.

“Of course, we always give the best here at Jere’s empire,” Jeremy boasted.

“Let me see the design she chose,” Jeremy tells Elsie.

She hands over her laptop to Jeremy to show him the style she chose.

“Very beautiful design. I can’t wait to start working on this piece” Jeremy says enthusiastically.

“I need the gown to be perfect, you need to start working on it immediately. The cost is not a problem at all” the lady says as she stands up from her chair.

“I have a meeting to catch up with, send the details and the total cost of the cloth. I’ll be taking my leave now” she said to Jeremy and hurriedly walked out of the office.

Elsie stares at her watch and was relieved to see that it was 5 minutes to her closing time.

She took her laptop and left the office. She couldn’t wait to get home because she was not feeling herself anymore after the picture she saw.

“I’m going home. I’m taking a cab since I don’t have a car for now” Elsie tells Kim and picks up her bag and leaves the office.

“Alright, take care of yourself” Kim waves at Elsie.

“He is such an asshole! How dare he? Just a few weeks after he left you he has already moved on to another skirt” Amy’s voice echoed loudly in my room.

“If I lay my eyes on him, he won’t know what hit him.” Amy angrily yelled and sat down aggressively on the chair.

“You need to calm down Amy. Come to think of it, we are no longer together so he has the right to do whatever he wants. Maybe I’m the one who needs to put my life back together and move on” Elsie mumbled with her face buried in her pillow.

“Oh, now you are supporting him?” Amy looked at Elsie wondering why she was still supporting him despite all that he had done to her.

“Mind if I come in?” Kasley asked, poking her head through the room door.

Elsie raised her head up from the pillow when she saw Kasley and sat up straight.

“Elsie, I’m really sorry about today, I know I shouldn’t have carried your car but believe me when I say I know nothing about the drugs that were found in it” Kasley tried to convince Elsie.

Elsie took a deep breath and looked deep into kasley’s eyes and said “I forgive you but I need you to tell me the truth, what do you know about the drugs that were found in the car?”

“I know nothing about it, I have never done drugs in my life, I haven’t even thought of doing it before I honestly don’t know how it got there but I’m going to get to the root of it. I need you to believe me sis” Elsie said with a gloomy look on her face.

“I believe you but we need to find out how it got into the car. Who did you carry in the car with you?” Elsie asked Kasley.

“It was just Dinte and Ashley that entered the car,” Kasley answered Elsie.

“Then it must have been one of them. You need to talk to them and find out who it was that put the drugs there. They almost put you in trouble” Elsie told her sister.

“Yes, I totally agree you need to talk to them because if it was just the two of them that got into the car with you then it was definitely one of them” Amy added.

“Yes I’ll talk to them but that aside what is wrong with you? You don’t look happy” Kasley asked her sister.

“Oh she didn’t tell you, he saw a picture of Dan and a lady all cozied up just a few weeks after he dumped her and she is still making excuses for him” Amy tells Kasley.

“Amyyy!” Elsie yelled her name.

“What? If I’m going to break that guy's head then I’ll need a backup and your sister seems like the perfect person for the job” Amy tells her.

“That guy doesn’t deserve anything good. I better not lay my eyes on him” Kasley angrily says.

“Aww, don’t worry, you’re going to be fine sis everything is going to be okay just after I kill that boy” Kasley holds her sister tight trying to comfort her.

“No one is killing anyone and I’m fine” Elsie tells the both of them.

“Oh I’m definitely killing him” Amy rolls her eyes and looks at her best friend.

“Maybe what you need is someone to help you get over him. I think you need a man in your life” Amy tells Elsie as she moves over to the bed to sit near her best friend.

“I totally agree with her, you need someone that can help take all the pain away and make you feel good. You know what I mean right?” Kasley says and Amy bursts into laughter.

“I don’t need any man in my life and I definitely don’t need any man to make me feel good I’m okay just the way I am” Elsie tells them and rests her head back on the pillow.

“No way, you need a man. Maybe I should create an account for you on a dating site that will be way easier than getting you to go out” Amy grins happily.

Kasley agrees to Amy’s plan but Elsie doesn’t buy the idea. She objects to it and tells them she doesn’t want to be on any dating site.

Amy however did not listen to what she had to say as her mind was already made up on creating the profile for her.

“I need to get going, I have a movie date with Sam and I’m already running late” Amy gets up from the bed and hugs her best friend and bids her and Kasley goodbye before dashing out.

Elsie wakes up feeling rather happy and better than last night. She looks at the time and starts preparing for work.

She sorts out a beautiful pink top and a black trouser to wear to work before heading to the bathroom to take her bath.

After taking her bath, she styles her hair in a high ponytail and brings little to the front.

Her phone begins to ring and she moves to check who was calling.

“Strange number, who could this be?” Elsie thought to herself.

She picks up her phone and answers the call.

“Hello,” Elsie says.

“Good morning pretty, I thought to call you this morning and see how you’re doing and also remind you of our date” a strange voice spoke through the phone.

“I’ll see you later then” the person says and ends the call.

Elsie stares at her phone in shock and keeps wondering what just happened.

“Date? Wait! No no no, Amyyyy” Elsie angrily tosses her phone on her bed.
