Kai’s POV:
The moment Tyler received that call from Sia my heart dropped and seeing the state Amber was in once we arrived broke it. I know it hasn’t been long enough for me to forgive myself for how I treated her and there is a chance I may never, but seeing her like that was eye-opening. I wish Demon would talk to me, even if it’s just a simple Hello, but he is still dormant. Everyone keeps telling me to give it time and he will come around and all I can do is hope they’re right.
My thoughts are interrupted as we pull into the driveway, “Thank you for coming,” Amber says softly as my car rolls to a stop.
“Anytime.”
