The Visit To A Monster

I didn't regret anything till now. In my early days, everyone around me love me and most people want to associate with me. I'm my father favourite. Though, I wasn't the first child nor the first son but my father love me than all his children. He can do anything to make me happy not matter the situation around him. But this was not so to my mother. When everyone shows me love from my early days my mother shows me little or no love. I don't know the reason for her actions but I know there's something that triggers the hatred in her. My father is the king and that makes me the favourite prince. No one can tell why my father love me than all his children especially my elder brother. I'm the fourth child with a younger sister, people see no special things in me. Yes! Nothing special is in me. Am the most lazy among my siblings but wondered why I found favour in the sight of my father. My father is a hard-working man with great reputation and courage, he hates lazy people to be around him infact he will never associate himself with a lazy person. When I was born it was predicted that I will be the one to rescue my people from s*****y and destruction but can I lazy person like me do that?. To me the prediction is not for me because am lazy in all aspects of life. I don't participate in anything both at home or whenever am with my friends. I'm always a spectator in all things and I don't believe that I can do anything. My father over pampered me to the extent that I don't participate in any task. My siblings always sees me has their archenemy. I love my siblings but they hate me the most. They don't like seeing me around. No one dares a***e me or say any negative words to me but they do that through their actions. There was a day, I was in the garden wanting to pluck a fruit, I saw my younger sister coming towards my direction to do the same thing but as soon as she saw me from afar, she gave me an ignoring look that make me staggered. One day, i explained the issue to my father but what he did make them hate me the most. He called them and scold them to the scorn. He spoke to them like a slave and I blamed myself and also regretted ever doing that. At times when I go out, some people call me disaster prince and others lazy prince. The first time I heard that I was furious and ready to fight but an old man standing next to me intervened. I was thinking he will scold the boy who called me a disaster prince but to.mu surprise, he turned towards my direction, look at me eye ball to eyeball and said unto me "the boy is not lying about what he said". My eyes were full of tears. infact I couldn't continue with what I wanted to do that day. I reluctantly turned back to my house and cry till I was half of the house. I couldn't tell me father about this because I know he will avenge my cause and it will bring more trouble to me. After hearing people calling me a disaster prince times without numbers, i decided to ask my father about the history that surrounds my birth. He knew something was wrong but can't figure it out. He asked me if I heard anything but I denied hearing anything because I knows his ways. "I only want to know the history that surrounds my birth" I said. He explained how I was born and how it was predicted that I will be the one to save my people from s*****y and destruction. He paused after saying that. He wanted to stop but I insist on hearing more of my birth story. He said, the day I was born 5 people died of a strange disease, after seven days a famous warrior died, the same day the city was invaded and more than 20 people died and 13 kidn*pped. Also on the same day, a heavy wind destroys so many house and make the victim homeless. When he was 8 years, his mother beats him and thereafter she turned to a dog for 7 weeks. This is the why his mother hates him till date. After hearing those words from my father, i was unhappy and decided to go to my room where I can cry and no one could see me. I want to know why my birth has brought sadness than joy. My father noticed my reaction and remind him of the prophecy behind my birth. I believed that the prediction can never come to reality because I am lazy and am also a coward. I left the presence of my father to my room. I thinks about all what my father said. I regretted been born in to the world. I thought of killing myself but I dare not though, i sees no reasons I should be alive but i know that if I do 7 people will be killed alongside with me according to our traditions and that would make people hate more even after my death. I couldn't go out for days because of what i heard from my father. No one cares to check on me because I bring no joy to them. After eating each meal I will always run back to my room where I can cry and no one sees me. In one of days when I was at home, I decided to go to my father's library to see if I could get a book on how to be powerful and how to be brave. I saw the two books very close to each other I picked it up and took them to my room where I can read.
