Hospital

"Shall we leave?" Xavier asks Bella who is carrying baby Aubrey.

"Yeah, we're ready." Bella replies and Xavier nods at her before leading Bella out of the room and towards the elevator.

Getting in the elevator, they get down and walk straight out of the house. A car is already waiting for them and seeing them walking out, the driver opens the door. Xavier helps Bella to climb in after which he follows and sits beside Bella. The driver closes the door back and gets in the seat before starting the car and driving to the hospital.

Two drivers used to work for them, one for Xavier and one for Bella. But when Bella was found pregnant and stopped going to the company, they removed Bella's driver from work. At that time, for office, Xavier would use his driver but when it involved Bella, he was the one who used to drive and take him anywhere. But now for safety and many other reasons, they prefer the driver to drive than themselves. Well, it was ordered by Bella as she doesn't want to face those horrific accidental situations again.

The drive goes smoothly and they reach the hospital on time for their appointment. As the driver stops the car, they both get down and walk into the hospital while the driver parks the car in the parking lot and waits for their return.

Today marks one month of baby Aubrey's birth and they're at the hospital to get her vaccination. And also to check on them and know about their health conditions. During this month, their condition improved a lot and they're back to normal. Xavier is thinking to attend the company tomorrow as he's really in a stable state. As for Bella, even though her condition is perfect but she wants to stay home and take care of baby Aubrey. Everything seems fine but they don't want to take any chance, so along with Aubrey's vaccination, they'll have them checked for assurance.

"Hello, uncle Jack." Xavier greets doctor jack as soon as he enters the doctor's cabin.

As they already have prior appointments and being the VIP visitors of the hospital, they're taken straight to the doctor. "Oh! Xavier, you're here?" Doctor jack says surprised seeing them.

Though he already knows they're going to come, it's still surprising to see them. Not that he wants them to visit him more often, no, if possible he prays there never comes a day when they visit him in his place of work.

"Yeah, we don't want to be late and waste your precious time," Xavier comments with a smile as he leads Bella who's carrying baby Aubrey by placing his hand on Bella's back.

"No problem, Xavier. Please take your seats." Doctor jack chuckles, telling them to sit. When they take their seats, he looks at Bella before asking him, "how are you, Bella?"

"I'm fine, doctor," Bella replies before taking a glance at Xavier.

"Good to hear that, I'm happy you're fine and Xavier, you too." Doctor Jack expresses his feeling.

"Thank you, uncle jack. You took care of us well." Xavier thanks doctor jack who just shakes his head at him.

"Not really, it's my duty as a doctor and more so because you're like my child." Doctor jack says with a sad smile before changing the topic, "all that aside, let's get to work now."

Nodding at him, Bella hands over baby Aubrey to the nurse who takes her to the weighting machine to check her weight and land ater puts her on the bed, and checks her temperature. After making sure she's perfectly fine, doctor jack nods with a smile and gets up to vaccinate baby Aubrey.

A loud piercing cry resonates in the room when doctor jack injects the small needle into baby Aubrey's soft skin. She cries so hard that her whole cream-white face turns red and she clutches her eyes closed shut. She's kicking her hands and legs in the air and the only thing that's keeping her in her place is the nurse who holds her.

"Please be careful" Bella couldn't control herself.

Seeing her baby burst out crying, Bella immediately looks away from the scene and tightly holds onto Xavier's hands.

"It's okay, honey. She'll be fine soon." Xavier soothes Bella's hand that's in his hold as he tries to calm down Bella.

Blinking her eyes open, Bella looks at Aubrey the teeth and tears glistening in her eyes. It's her first time seeing her baby girl crying so much because of pain. Usually, she cries for food or when she needs to be changed, But now it's anguish seeing her crying so much in pain. And Xavier consoles his wife by rubbing her back as Bella is almost on the verge of crying.

Thankfully, it comes to an end in no time and the nurse hands baby Aubrey to Bella who takes her hurriedly and cuddles her to her. She's not crying anymore as the nurse put a pacifier in her mouth. Now, she is calm enough.

"Don't worry, Bella. She'll be fine in no time." Doctor jack assures Bella as she sniffles looking at baby Aubrey's hand which is red on the spot where the injection is given.

"She is my everything. it's like she is the only one who is mine in the whole world. seeing her in pain is the most unbearable thing for me." Bella said. Xavier smiled at her.

Doctor jack looked at Bella with sadness on his face. He doesn't know what will happen when she knew Aubrey is not her child.

After that, the doctor jack checks Xavier and Bella as well and tells them that their condition is good and that they're healthy. When it's time for them to leave after everything, Xavier requests Bella to wait for a few minutes as he has something to talk to doctor jack.

"Honey, can you wait outside for a few minutes? I'll be right back." Xavier says to Bella.

"Okay." Bella nods and gets up to leave.

Before leaving she bids goodbye to doctor jack who smiles at her and leaves the room. Walking out, she sits in a chair while carefully holding baby Aubrey who fell asleep some time ago when they were getting checked up. She just watches her sleeping face lovingly as she kissed her daughter's forehead. And waits for Xavier.

Inside the room, doctor jack waits patiently for Xavier to talk. Xavier lets out a sigh before looking at doctor Jack and finally asks him.

"Uncle jack, what I want to ask you is about Bella," Xavier states making doctor jack gaze at him confused.

"What about Bella? she's totally fine." Doctor jack replies.

"About Bella's memory, though you already told me you don't know when it'll be returned, what I want to know is can we try recalling him things so that he can regain his memory early?" Xavier asks the doubt.

"Xavier, I understand you. It might be hard now that she doesn't remember her past but please don't try anything of that sort. Her memory nerves are not active because of the accident.

If you forcefully try to make her remember or trigger her, it's dangerous to her life. she will gain her memory on her own accord, not by force." Doctor ack says seriously.

And he's not lying, though Bella is in fine health, her nervous system isn't. If anything were to put pressure on her, her nerves would break like a thread resulting in death.

"I'm sorry, uncle. It's not that I'm having a difficult time with Bella because rather it's exactly the opposite. He did change a bit but I do love her new personality as well. she never makes me feel unloved. The only reason I asked is that I wanted to be some help to her. If she can regain memory with help, I wanted to be all the help she needs. But if it's like what you said, I won't do anything to trigger her and I'll wait for her, forever long." Xavier tells doctor jack why he brought up the topic.

"I know, Xavier. You love her too much to lose her.

But as said all the help you can do is let her heal on her own." Doctor jack states with a sad smile.

Nodding at doctor Jack, Xavier stands up to leave, "thank you for today, we'll be here again on Aubrey's next appointment."

"Aubrey?" Doctor jack utters the word with confusion.

" as in Aubrey, our baby. Bella Choose the name after we left the hospital." Xavier clears him with a chuckle.

"Great name." Doctor jack praises.

"Thank you. We'll get going now, bye." With that Xavier leaves the room and walks out to see Bella sitting and waiting for him.

"Sorry, it took more time than thought." Xavier apologizes while standing in front of Bella. "No problem, Xavier. I didn't wait for long." Bella says with a smile as she gets up.

Xavier smiles at her in return before leading Bella out. Going to their car, they get in with the driver's help and head back home. On their way home, Bella asks Xavier why he stayed back and why he talked to the doctor about it. Mew answers saying he just further asked about their health and nothing else to which Bella nods at him. Xavier lies because he didn't want Bella to misunderstand him just like doctor Jack did. He's just going to wait for Bella, no rush whatsoever.
