Breathing the air of France, they were out from the whole chaotic busy life. It was just her and him, after seven long years inhaling the scent of Paris and a comfortable life lying behind. It wouldn’t have been possible without Nandini who motivated him at every step he took, he was scared of. It wouldn’t have been possible without her who made him proud at every step possible. She never brag unlike some of the girlfriends of his friend. She never forced him to take him out knowing he couldn’t afford during his struggling years. She was there, smiling at him, cuddling to him and was content with just having him beside. She believed in him, in his efforts and in his dreams. When life was the worst for him, her smile made it worthwhile. He used to cried late at nights and only her smile on the w******p profile picture brought him back to his strength, form. She had a positive energy he never had enough of. Whenever all the bricks fell out of pillared life, she took every brick up and constructed his whole life yet again, despite having issues in her own life. It wouldn’t have been possible without all the motivational pictures she sent always before his exams. And also, she was his lucky charm. The stars which he adored had gifted a part of themselves to him in the form of Nandini who always brightened up his life like one. It wouldn’t have been possible without the efforts he gave, irrespective of the time of day. He studied till 3 am and woke up at 7 to continue his studies. “Manik, wake up! Wake up! Good Morning, baby!” was his only alarm clock. It wouldn’t have been possible without him who carried the load of his whole family. It wouldn’t have been possible without him who showed and proved how responsible he was. How caring and loving he was. “He was the most selfless guy, yet the most selfish guy!” was how he was being described by others. He drank the last sip of the coffee thinking about everything, standing in the balcony, leaning against the balcony. He turned around and leaned his back, eyeing his little wife who was packing the suitcases up for it was their last day in Paris. He kept the coffee cup on the small table provided in the balcony and walked inside slowly to her. “Manik, did you keep all your clothes in the wardrobe only?” She asked, eyes still on the clothes and luggage which was kept on the huge dining table, a little faraway from the bed. “Flight is at 7 pm tomorrow!” His hands slowly traced her waist but she couldn’t keep calm “I know! But sti-“ “Shh!” His lone kiss on her neck shuddered her. “Manik!” She whispered, clutching the suitcase handle, licking her lower lip. “Easy on yourself love!” His whispered dead close to her ear to which she breathed heavier than the previous. He turned her around and picked her up while she cuddled closer to her. Throwing her on the bed as gently as he could, he hovered on her pulling the night lamp string off. “Thank you, for being there! Always!” He took her knuckles and kissed them softly, nibbling his lips a little longer than usual. She blushed in reciprocity and kissed his hand which was holding her “Thank you to you!”
