Chapter Twenty Eight - Awakening
**Bria's POV** I heard low rhythmic beeping from behind my head. There were whooshing noises, and squeaking noises. As I came to, I noticed the pain throughout my body. I didn't feel a single part of my body that wasn't radiating with sharp pain. I opened my eyes to find out where I was. Big, bright lights took over my vision and that was about all I could see. I turned my head and saw IV poles and monitors. I started to sit up to find out what was happening. A hand pressed my shoulder back down. “Don't sit up, just rest. How do you feel?” Kayne said. “Like hell.” I whispered. I inspected my body. My leg and arm were in casts. My torso was wrapped tightly with tape and gauze. My stomach was... gone. Where was my baby?
