I was taken by the Fae four weeks into my banishment.
I was just walking down the sidewalk right outside of our little village with Jade by my side. I had fleas. I was going to try to steal some flea shampoo from a*****e before they closed for the night when a blacked-out SUV came strolling down the block and stopped a few feet in front of us.
I recognized the vehicle. It was the type that came to all of my meal deliveries. I slowed and Jade grabbed onto my arm as a bulky Fae male exited the car.
He wore a suit like those stupid presidential security detail guys and dark sunglasses. It was literally almost dark. Why in the hell did he need sunglasses? But whatever. He faced me and extended his arm in a way that said: "After you". He opened the back door and waited.
