As soon as Jade saw me again, panic was written all over her face. She hugged me tightly and then held me at arm's length and looked me over with worried eyes.
"No no no no!" She grabbed dirt from the ground and began smearing it on my dress. I frowned and flinched when she found some trash from the trash cans and began rubbing some on me.
"What are you doing?"
"You're clean. They'll know! They will see you and you will be questioned as to where you were and...no."
Realizing what she was saying and doing, I quickly grabbed some dirt and trash of my own and started helping her dirty me up. I stuck twigs in my clean hair and smudged my face with... I don't know what with. I tore at my dress and then grabbed one of my new slippers and chucked it in a dumpster.
