Chapter 19: Breaking news

"You have got to be kidding me!" I yelled. I was pissed, I don't ever remember bring this angry in my entire life. 

The day had started out just fine, I woke up in Cillian's arms and sighed in contentment. We had gotten up and gotten dressed, the moment he sat me down on the couch and said he had news from Dead-thorn I was sitting on the edge of my seat like a 17 year old listening to her friends gossip.

"So." He started. "The alliance paperwork went well, Alpha Darius and I decided to use Brody and Anastasia as the mated wolves that brought the packs together though."

"Why? I told him all Alexa needs is training." I said confused. Cillian sighed and ran his hand across the back of his neck nervously.

"So Alexa may or may not have slept with an omega to get back at Darius for f*****g a she-w***e and she may or may not have gotten pregnant with the said omega's pup." I felt my face get read as Cillian said everything in one breath. 

"You have got to be kidding me!" I jumped from the couch and paced the living room floor while Cillian sat on the couch waiting for me to cool down. "I knew she was stupid, but I didn't realize she was that f*****g stupid!" I said furiously. "How far along is she?" I said trying to calm myself.

"Same as you." Cillian said looking at his hands.

"So she didn't give him a chance to warm up to her, she had to act like a spoiled slut and f**k someone because her idiotic mate did!" I threw my hands in the air and slammed them on my sides.

"That isn't all." I turned to Cillian who took a deep breath. "Alpha Darius wants to reject her and find his second chance mate." I grabbed the pillow from the couch and screamed into it. I knew I was over reacting, but the pregnancy hormones were not helping me. I normally wouldn't have cared so much about the stupid s**t my sister did, but she was a white wolf from the blood line of Slate, the first silver Crescent wolf. My twin sister was a screw up who didn't know jack s**t about life. 

"I don't understand how she could be so stupid. White wolves are supposed to be smart and strong and act regal for goddesses sake, but I get stuck with the only one who is a screw up." I took a few long breaths then plopped back down next to Cillian. "My dad needs to know about this."

"I'll let you break the news this time."

(Ashlyn: Dad, can you come over. I got some news for ya.)

(John: I'll be there in a few princess.) He cut the link and I went to the kitchen and grabbed a mint chocolate cliff bar and ate it while I cooled off. Cillian answered the door when my dad knocked, I met them in the living room and sat on the couch, Cillian sat next to me and my dad sat on the other side. 

"Dad, Alexa slept with an omega in Dead-thorn and got her dumbass pregnant." I said not hesitating. He blinked once and stayed silent. "Now her mate is going to reject her, and she may come running back here and screw up our lives." That's when he got off the couch and started yelling the same way I had. Cillian pulled me into his lap and protected me from his flying hands. 

"That stupid child!" He said with fury as he say done. "What kind of i***t sleeps with a man who isn't her destined mate?"

"One who never learned discipline." I growled. Just then a random pain pierced my stomach, I doubled over and groaned. Cillian grabbed me as I nearly fell to the ground, I lost the cliff bar on the floor as I began to shake. I screamed as I felt my pup being torn from my uterus. I held my baby in as I screamed and withered in pain. 

"Stop!" I screamed, "Please, no." I whimpered before my world went dark. I went into a dark place where I saw Alexa with a straightened out coat hanger covered in blood. I walked over to her and saw the mess she made, the bloody fetus laying by her legs.

"What have you done?" I whispered, she looked up at me and whimpered as silent tears rolled down her face.

"I couldn't have a pup that wasn't his. I messed up Ashlyn, so so bad." She sobbed as I sat on my knees and put her head on my lap.

"You shouldn't have done that Alexa, you should have gotten help." I said lightly, her roots were brown as her hair was growing back to its original color.

"I couldn't, they couldn't know what I had done. I'm a f**k up. I ruined everything, my mate is going to reject me because I slept with someone to try and make him jealous. I just wanted him to love me, the way Cillian loves you."

"Why didn't you give him a chance Alexa?" I asked.

"He has wanted you from the beginning, he said he would reject me and maybe he would be gifted with you."

"He wanted someone strong, you should have showed him your strength Alexa."

"What strength? I was too babied to have any." She was sobbing again so I stroked her hair.

"What is your wolfs name?" I asked for the first time.

"Blizzard." She said lightly. 

"Blizzard has your strength, she has been waiting for you to reach out and take it. Sure you can do some cool things already, but imagine the strength you could have if you actually worked to get it."

"She wont talk to me Ashlyn." Alexa said after a few moments of silence. "She hasn't talked to me since the day in the office." I sighed and reached out with my mind, I could feel her there, but something wasn't right.

"Focus on her Alexa, think of the best memories you have of her. Follow the invisible rope that binds her to you." I said as I kept petting her hair. She was silent for a long time, then I felt a change wash over her and she looked at me with black eyes.

"You left us." She whimpered.

"I had no choice, do you want to see the hell I was put through because of the bond? Why didn't you feel it the day it broke, why blame me when you both made my life a living hell?" 

"I thought you had just been ignoring me when I called to you, the same way you had been for months. I felt something snap like a rubber band when Alexa got ill, but I just couldn't place what had snapped. I had no idea what you were going through, I'm sorry."

"Did you know she could do it?" I asked. "Did you know she could twist peoples emotions?"

"No I did not. Not until you told her the day Cillian said he was departing."

"She took my parents away from me, I had Crescent and Ed, that was all I had, because she took it all away." I said, I let angry tears fall free as she looked at the ground. "I nearly died, not just once but twice, and you both just let me suffer. I know I was holed up in my room for almost a week before Ed came down, why didn't you come and save me. When you felt a snap why didn't you look for me? I was dying and I was all alone both times." I said as Blizzard began to sob.

"I had no idea sister. I am so sorry. Please forgive me." She whimpered. 

"I can't. I loved my sister more than anyone, and she constantly found new ways to make my life a living hell. You let her do everything, not once did you think about me, I cannot open my heart to you and let it get ripped apart again. Maybe someday I will, but that day is not today." I closed my eyes and hung my head, I was breaking my own heart while breaking hers.

"It hurts." She whimpered. I looked at her and saw her grabbing her chest as she sobbed.

"It's called heartbreak, I had to live with it almost everyday for three years. I finally found the one person who made the pain stop. Blizzard wake up and find the one who can make it all stop, be the wolf you were born to be." I said to her. She looked up at me and her eyes went from black to blue. 

"How?"

"Let go of the person you are, start over. Bury the hatchet and be the wolf you were born to be. It will take a hell of a lot of work, but you need to do this. For you and Blizzard, you will need him now more than ever Alexa."

"He won't want me right now, I'm weak." She whimpered.

"Don't write him off, that will be the worst mistake you ever make. Become the Luna before he makes you his Luna, be strong, be kind, be brave, most of all, be there for him, if he takes another w***e tear them both a new one. Make him mad, fight him, don't let him push you around, and when he needs it. Support him, help him, be the perfect mate." I said. She nodded and closed her eyes as a sharp pain rippled through us. We both screamed and collapsed at the pain. I held on to my still pregnant stomach and closed my eyes. 

When I opened them I was blinded by a bright light, I automatically shut my eyes and groaned. I heard a stir and a hand took mine. I didn't feel sparks so I tried to pull away.

"Cillian." I said with a dry raspy voice. I felt a glass touch my lips and I drank the water I was given. I heard a door slam and I felt sparks fly though my body as Cillian took my free hand. I looked up at him and let out a breath as tears slid down my face. "Our pup?" I asked as I looked down at my stomach.

"Our pup is safe, baby." I felt the relief flood through my veins and I layed back as I started crying again. "What happened Ash?" Cillian asked.

"Alexa, she aborted her pup. She said she couldn't have it because it wasn't his. I felt it all Cillian." I sobbed. I heard both him and the other person holding my other hand suck in air. "Call Darius, she needs him Cill." He nodded once and pulled out his phone.

"I'm so sorry you had to feel that princess." My dad said. I looked at him and sobbed.

"She wanted me to forgive her. But I couldn't dad. I couldn't let her tear my heart open again." I said as I sobbed. Cillian hung up the phone and sat on the bed next to me pulling me into him. 

"I was so worried Ash, I thought I was going to lose everything I had. I thought I would have to bury my mate and my unborn child, before I even go the chance to make you my wife." I saw the red around Cillian's eyes and I buried my face in his chest. 

"I thought I was losing our pup too. It hurt so bad Cillian, I couldn't stop it." I knew there was snot running from my nose as it got clogged up but I didn't care. I let my ugly cry out as I let the fear of losing my pup leave my body. 

"We'll be okay. Our future is okay." Cillian said.

............Alpha Darius POV.............

I heard my phone ring, I looked at the caller ID and saw Alpha Cillian's number so I answered.

"Hello?"

"Darius you have to find Alexa, she just aborted her pup, she said she couldn't have it because it wasn't yours." 

"What?" I felt my blood turn to ice as he spoke to me. "How do you know this?" 

"Ashlyn felt it all, she was somehow able to talk to her, she needs help Darius Now!" The line went dead and I ran from my office smelling for Alexa, I smelled blood faintly coming from her room. I kicked down the door and went toward the bathroom where I smelt her. I busted down that door and saw her curled up on the ground next to a small fetus. She smelled different than she had since she arrived here, she smelled better.

(My mate is with her now!) Grimm said.

Wasn't she before?

(No, that's why I didn't want her, her wolf was gone.)

Does that mean we can't reject her?

(MINE!) Grimm screamed. I rolled my eyes as I lifted Alexa off the floor, the annoying tingles shot off in my arms as I carried her from her bedroom to the doctor's office a few minutes away. 

"I just wanted what they had." I heard her whimper. I was led to a room where she was set on the bed, I was forced outside and made to wait, Grimm was in my head, pissed at the both of us for being such d***s to her. 

(I want her Darius. I want my mate.) I sighed as I realized I would have to do a lot of ass kissing, figurative and hopefully literally.
