Chapter 18: Alliance

........3 days later........

Cillian POV

The car arrived at Dead-thorn just as Alpha Darius walked out of his ridiculously large villa. I stepped from the car with my wolves at my side, Brody and Anastasia had decided to join me so she could pack up some of her things. 

"Hello Alpha Darius, Beta Zack." I said as I reached them.

"Alpha Cillian, nice to see you, you as well Beta Terrance." Alpha Darius responded, his tone was strained which I found unusual, but I wasn't asking.

"I would like to see Ed, is he at the training grounds?" I said. Ashlyn was waiting for his response to getting his own ultrasound of his god-pup.

"Yes he is. Follow me." I kept pace with Darius and watched Ed, drill the warriors of Dead-thorn as they struggled to keep up with the soldiers from Moon-lake. A few of them saw me and smiled, which had Ed turn, when he saw me he turned back to the warriors and they stopped. My pack members came over and I shook each hand and said hello.

"We heard about the rouge attack last month, how is the pack?" Elijah asked.

"It was rough for a few weeks but we're recovering fast." I said responding to him.

"How are you Brody, we all heard about Sarah and are so sorry we couldn't be there." Jack said.

"I'm doing better, Luna Ashlyn said she was protecting the pups, so she was added to the Hall of the fallen." Brody said with a sad smile. 

"It is a honor she well deserves Brody." Ed said. "Alpha Cillian, how is Ashlyn? I know damn well that girl didn't sit out of the fight."

"Ashlyn is perfect Ed. I had her by my side the entire fight, once I saw she was there. We had one close call, but I ripped that i***t to pieces." I said with an evil smirk.

"Good." He said. Alpha Darius was silent, I looked around the field and noticed Alexa wasn't training.

"Ed where is Alexa?" I asked curiously.

"Honestly, I have no idea Cillian." Ed said, I nodded and sighed I had hope she would be getting better, but she was back to skipping.

"Alpha Cillian, Beta Zach and I have a situation to take care of, do you mind waiting her for us to return?" Alpha Darius asked.

"Not at all." I said as he turned and walked away with his Beta. I reached into my jacket and handed Ed the envelope with his name on it. He looked at it curiously and opened it. When he took out the ultrasound his face lit up and he smiled at me. The rest of the warriors looked at it and smiled at my little bean just as Ed had.

"Alpha Cillian, this is amazing." Ed said putting the picture back in the envelope.

"It's yours, Ashlyn wants you to have it seeing as you are the godfather." I said, his smile got bigger and a small happy whine escaped his lips. 

"I think this is the best day ever." Ed said. "I can't wait to meet this little one." The envelope was placed carefully in his jacket before he opened a mind-link.

(Ed: Cillian, Alexa is pregnant too, but it is with an omega's child.) I felt my eyes go wide and I nearly fell over.

(Cillian: Do you know how far along?)

(Ed: About the same as Ashlyn I'm guessing. I'm certain that once this alliance is signed, Darius is going to reject her.)

(Cillian: I would too, Alexa knew her mate was Alpha Darius and yet she f****d an omega, it's her own doing.)

(Ed: I know, I figured you and Ashlyn would want to know, just in case she decides to run back to Moon-lake after the rejection.)

(Cillian: Thanks Ed. Anything else.)

(Ed: Nothing I know of Alpha.) I nodded as I cut the link. Ed and the warriors got back to training and I signaled Terrance a later, sign with my hand, knowing he was curios. I watched Ed drill the warriors and I saw Mary walk toward the field with a pregnant Alexa, Ed was right she looked a little bigger than Ashlyn, then again Ashlyn had hardly any stomach before hand. Feeling my stare Alexa looked up at me then started crying, Mary held her and glared at me. I silently snarled, glaring back and she bowed her head.

I heard Alpha Darius approach and I looked him dead in the eyes before speaking,

"Is it yours?" I asked pointing toward Alexa and Mary, he looked down at them angrily and shook his head.

"No, it's not."

"What are you going to do with her?" I asked neutrally.

"I'm not sure yet Alpha Cillian. My wolf wants to reject her and find our second chance, but I don't want to ruin the chances of having this alliance with you." I knew he was being honest by listening to his heart.

"I'm not going to lie, I don't care about Alexa or Mary, they have only brought my mate suffering in the past few years of her life. I would do what you want, we can use Anastasia as the building block instead." I said looking over at Brody and his mate who were looking at me with shock. "She is already making herself at home and Ashlyn likes how great she had been for Brody." I watched them both smile and I turned back to Alpha Darius who was looking at me with shock. 

"I like the way you think Alpha Cillian." He said as he began to smirk. "I think this is a wonderful idea." 

...........2 days later..............

We finally got the alliance paperwork done and I was bringing my things to the car when a wolf on Alpha Darius's border signaled a rouge attack. I ran in human form the the alarm to see a couple of rouges growling at the training warriors. I watched as my warriors shifted and defeated them quickly. I waited in a lower position, but no more came running through the trees. I looked around and smelled the air, I looked at Ed, who was just as puzzled as I was. Alpha Darius came running up with Beta Zach and looked at the blood rouges on the ground then looked into the woods. 

"Moon-lake, perimeter check! As a unit!" Ed yelled out. Our wolves ran off altogether while the rest of us waited. Our wolves were back shortly and Elijah shifted back.

"No other blood rouges, this is it." I scratched my head and walked back to my SUV to see my bags on the ground, right where I dropped them. I placed them in the trunk and did a once over, finding a purple flower on my back seat. I grabbed my things from the back and walked away from the SUV slowly, Terrance headed for the vehicle but I stopped him.

"Ter, no! Someone put a wolfsbane flower on the backseat." Terrance growled at the SUV, we walked to Alpha Darius's garage and got in one of his cars, before mind-linking Brody our change of transportation. I pulled the black Chevy Malibu to the pack house, Anastasia and Brody put their things in the trunk before I drove off, I knew Alpha Darius would see why we left my vehicle and took his. He would also have to find the person who threatened me and my pack.

.........Ashlyn POV............

I was so excited Cillian was coming home, I had missed him so much. Two days is a long time for mates to go without seeing each other. I was going to wait for him, but I got busy in the office taking care of payroll and pack funding for the pups to take a trip to the zoo, to see all the different animals. I was sitting in the chair focusing when I was suddenly engulfed in Cillian's arms. I squealed when I felt the sparks and I held the love of my life as close to me as I could.

"Cillian! When did you get home?" I asked happily.

"A few minutes ago, I didn't see you so i came to check the office, the next stop was the bedroom." He purred. I giggled as I cupped his face and collided our lips together. "I know a cure for madness Cill." I said seductively as one hand reached down the the growing bulge in his tight blue jeans. 

"I think I'm in need of one Ash." He said lowly as his eyes went black. I reached my hand in his pants as his eyes clouded over.

(Cillian: Luna Ashlyn and I are busy in the office, please no interruptions for at least 4 hours while we catch up on stuff.)
