Chapter 14; Katherine Fricking Pierce

After getting myself a bloodbag from the hospitals collection I walked around looking for my idiotic brother who had me come here, but instead of finding him I found Bonnie and Elena.

“How’s Caroline?” Elena asked Bonnie. “She’s weak, they don’t know if she’s going to make it” Bonnie told her giving one of her best friends a hug. “What? Is there something you can do? Like a spell or something?” Elena asked obviously worried for her friend, and I decided now would be the best time to join them.

“She doesn’t know how to, do you Bonnie?” I smirked as they both looked over at me. “No, I don’t” Bonnie sounded dejected making my smirk grow. “Lucky for your friend, I can help”

“How?” Elena asked confused making me roll my eyes. “I can give her some of my blood, just enough to heal her” I shrugged. “No. Absolutely not, it’s not an option” She shook her head vigorously.

“She’s in a hospital for blinking sakes, she’ll be safe. It’ll leave her system in 24 hours, then she’ll be back to her normal, annoying, preppy self” I shrugged not seeing why she’s throwing a hissy fit. “No”

“Do it” I snapped my head to Bonnie, finally someone seeing sense. “What? No, Bonnie, the risk” Elena shook her head. “It’s Caroline, Elena, one of our best friends” Bonnie told her before looking at me. “Do it”

I shrugged. “I’ll do it” I told her before looking about Elena. “First I want us to talk about what happened tonight-“ I started but she cut me off. “Yeah, a tomb vampire got invited into my home and nearly killed John”

I stared at her confused. “What? When?” I asked confused not liking I was left out of the loop, and I probably wouldn’t have known if I didn’t want to talk to her about the conversation I heard her have with Stefan tonight.

Before she could answer Jenna came and joined us. “How’s John?” She asked looking at Elena flicking her eyes over to me. “Where have you been?” Elena interrogated her guardian.

“At the fire department, I had to fill out a report, I told you earlier” Jenna told her making Elena look confused. “No you didn’t” Elena denied. “Yes I did” Jenna told her like she was loosing the plot. “No, Jenna, you didn’t”

“Yes I did”

If it wasn’t Elena then… “You have got to be bloody killing me” I groaned making the 3 of them look at me, but I ignored them and went looking for Damon.

The b***h is in town, causing trouble already!

Walking around the corner I bumped in to Damon. “There you are, I’ve been waiting for you forever” Damon spoke looking at me. “Yeah, well I’ve sorted the Caroline situation out. That’s least of our problems now”

“What problem?” Damon asked confused. “Oh I don’t know, what about the one of who chopped John Gilberts fingers off and tried to kill him?” I snapped glaring at him, this was not good the b***h was back and when I get my hands on her I’m gonna kill her.

“Who?” He asked confused. “Katherines back, she went to the Gilbert’s home getting herself invited in pretending to be Elena” His eyes widened. “I was at-“ He cut himself off and just stared at me.

What was he gonna say?

“You go find Elena I’m gonna call Stefan, find out where he is, we’ll all meet back up at Elena’s” I told him before walking off, pulling my phone out of my pocket.

Of course he didn’t answer his phone so I waited outside the hospital for Elena and Damon before we rushed back to the Gilbert home, since that’s where Stefan was, watching over Jeremy who tried to make himself a vampire by drinking some of Anna’s blood she left him and overdosed himself, but luckily the blood healed him.

He’d make a terrible vampire.

As we walked in Stefan was on the floor snapping his arm back in place. “Stefan, are you alright?” Elena asked worried as she ran over to him. “What happened?”

“Katherine fricking Pierce happened” I told her as I looked between the 3 of them before taking a seat on the couch.

Elena went to go check on Jeremy leaving me with my brothers. “Did she say what she wanted?” I asked Stefan wanting to know since she was ‘madly in love’ with him. “No, she didn’t say anything”

“Well she sure knows how to make an entrance, I’ll give her that” Damon mumbled making me look over to him, remembering the little slip he pulled earlier, now I just wanted to know what he was gonna say.

“She said she fooled one of us at least, what does that mean?” Stefan asked confused looking between me and Damon. “Hey, don’t look at me, if I had seen the b***h I would have killed her”

“She pretended to be Elena when I showed up earlier tonight” Damon admitted making us both look over to him, me raising my eyebrows, what the hell was he doing here?

“I told Jeremy, I can’t lie to him anymore” I snapped my head over to Elena as she walked into the room. “Are you alright?” Stefan asked as he walked over to her. “No, I’m not alright. I thought that with all the tomb vampires gone things would get better”

I rolled my eyes at her comment, life’s not always sunshine and rainbows and she needed to hurry up and learn that. “Katherine was in this house, which means she’s been invited in, what am I gonna do?” She asked us.

“Move” I shrugged smirking at her. “Very helpful Lilly, thank you” I smirked at the sarcasm. “Oh, you are very welcome Elena” I chuckled before becoming serious. “I wouldn’t worry too much sweetheart, if Katherine wanted you dead, you’d be dead, there’s zero you could do to stop her. But would you look at that, you’re not dead”

“So she clearly has other plans” Damon mussed making me nod in agreement. “Right, and we need to find out what those plans are, and not provoke her in the process” Stefan warned us both, giving me a pointed look making me sigh.

Take all my fun away why don’t you.

I smirked at Steffie before looking over at Damon. “what happened tonight anyway?” Damon looked at Stefan before looking back at me. “to risk another from line on our brothers crowded forehead, we kissed” I burst out laughing, bending from the waist, my hands on my knees.

Typical Damon kissing his brothers girl. “What do you mean you kissed?” Jealous Stefan asked glaring at Damon. “Seriously you want details?” I asked disgusted. “Well when 2 lips pucker, they kiss” Damon tormented.

“Stef went to attack him but Elena stopped him. “Stefan, wait, he kissed Katherine, not me” She told him before looking at Damon. “I wouldn’t do that. Look, we don’t have time for this” She sighed. “Later” Stefan spoke staring at Damon.

“Okay now that these 2 idiots have had their showdown, we need to figure out why Katherine’s back in town, but we’re obviously not gonna get anything from the b***h herself, so we go to John, there’s a reason as to why she tried to kill him”

“I say we ignore the b***h then shove a stake through her heart, something poetic” Damon smirked at us before leaving. I rolled my eyes before looking at Elena and Stefan. “Well I’m gonna make a trip to the hospital and then I’m gonna call it a night. Nearly getting killed can do a lot to you”

“Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do” I called before speeding off to the hospital, making my way to Caroline’s room without anyone seeing me. Matt was in her room but thankfully he was asleep, I stood next to her bed biting into my wrist and holding it against her mouth letting my blood drop onto her tongue. “Here you go, drink up”

“L-Lilly” she stuttered confused, I connected my eyes with hers so I could compel her. “You don’t remember any of this or how you got better, you just did and it’s a miracle. You’ll enjoy your life Caroline, there’s a lot more out there for you to enjoy, a world for you to see, you’ll find your prince charming, have beautiful children and grandchildren. You’ll live a good life with your own family, and then you’ll die… Just like I was supposed to”

After compelling her I sped out of the hospital going to the boarding house calling it a night.

Stefan and Elena went to talk to John but it was a waste of time since he knew nothing, well he didn’t say anything, apparently Katherine didn’t trust him so he never spoke to her directly, it was always through Isobel.

So we weren’t a step closer to finding out what Katherine. One good thing did come out of the visit they paid him, Stefan fed him his blood before threatening to turn him into a vampire if he didn’t leave town within 24 hours.

There was a memorial thing for the mayor where Carol Lockwood basically blamed his death on Liz because it was her deputies that messed up. Personally, I didn’t see why she was so bothered, I don’t really think she actually loved him with the amount of flirting she’s done with Damon.

The Mayors brother, Mason Lockwood, arrived in town but according to Liz he’s a non-believer and wanted nothing to do with the council, he’d rather be catching the perfect wave, Liz’s words not mine.

We had a good old chat with Bonnie where she gave both me and Damon an aneurism showing us what she’s learnt while she had been away, along with threatening to kill us if we stepped out of line. I guess saving her best friends life didn’t help put the past behind us.

I didn’t see why she was so hostile against me, I wasn’t the one who near enough killed her.

Oh, and to make the day more enjoyable Katherine showed up causing trouble with Bonnie, which Stefan intervened and went for a nice little stroll with Katherine, which ended up with her sticking a metal candle poker into his stomach when he told her that he hated her.

Damon and Stefan basically called a truce on the whole ‘Damon kissing who he thought was Elena’ thing, knowing Katherine wanted to ruin what bond they had left.

Katherine showed up at the boarding house when me and Stefan was out, claiming she wanted to say goodbye, which resulted in her and Damon both having a little make out session before Katherine told him that she never loved Damon, it was always Stefan.

Of course, out of anger and sadness he went to visit Elena which ended in him snapping Jeremy’s neck making Elena give him the silent treatment, even after he claimed he knew Jeremy was wearing the Gilbert ring, but she didn’t believe him.

Damon believed that the Lockwood’s had a family secret since the Gilbert device affected them but the vervain didn’t, which meant they’re not vampires but they’re something supernatural, and I had to agree with him, so here I was watching Tyler Lockwood have an arm wrestle with some school student, Damon stood next to me.

“Ah, ah. You’re lurking” Stefan spoke as he stood next to Damon. “I’m observing” Damon told him while I concentrated on Tyler Lockwood and another student. “More like obsessing” Stefan spoke just as Tyler slammed the other dudes hand down on the table.

“He’s got strength” Damon mussed while I carried on observing so I can figure out what he is, I don’t like the unknown. “He’s a triple letter varsity athlete, of course he has strength” Stefan retorted making me roll my eyes.

“Enter the uncle” I spoke as Mason Lockwood joined his nephew for an arm wrestle. “This is ridiculous” Stefan told us as the 3 of us stood and watched as Mason beat Tyler. “Okay, he’s the champ, who wants to go next?” Tyler asked making me smirk.

“Stefan wants a go” I spoke up making them look over to us. “Thanks” Stefan smirked at me before looking back at the Lockwood. “Yeah, sure, I’ll give it a shot” Stefan spoke as he walked over to them. “Get him Stef!” I cheered making Damon chuckle at me. “Brilliant plan”

I smirked at Mason as he looked over at me and Damon before the bell rang for them to start. I watched carefully as their hands barely moved for a couple of seconds before Mason slammed Steffie’s arm down.

I shook my head as Stefan came walking over to us. “You didn’t put in any effort at all” Damon told him with a glare. “Yeah, actually, I did” Stefan told us making my eyebrows shoot up to my hairline. “Come with me” Damon mumbled before walking off.

I gave one last look over at Mason who was just slamming a kids arm down, I sighed as I followed behind Damon and Stefan. “Is he…?” Damon asked coming to a stop. “No, no, no. It wasn’t that sort of strength, but it was more than a human, if that makes any sense”

“What is up with that family?” Damon asked nobody in particular. “They’re not vampires, so what the hell are they?” I asked looking at them both to see if they had any ideas.

“Ooh, ah, maybe they’re, um, ninja turtles!” I chuckled shaking my head. “You’re not funny” Damon told him while I rolled my eyes. “Well, I thought that was good for Stefan” I shrugged.

“Or no, Zombies, werewolves” Stefan added with a serious face. “No comedic timing at all” Damon told him before looking behind him over at a boy who was by the looks of it fixing something. “What? What are you up to?” Stefan asked confused.

“Since this is reality and there’s no such thing as werewolves or… combat turtles” Damon told him furrowing his brows before walking over to the dude. “I said ninja turtles, actually” Stefan corrected while I rolled my eyes.

“Hey you!” Damon spoke making the dude look at him. “I have a name” He told Damon as I walked closer to them to see what Damon was up to. “I don’t care” Damon told him placing his hands on the dude’s shoulders connecting his eyes with his.

“I need you to pick a fight with someone, a kid named Tyler Lockwood” Damon started. “Damon, don’t do this” Stefan tried to get him to stop but Damon just shook his hand, keeping eye contact with the dude. “It’s just an experiment. Get him mad, don’t back down no matter what he does, okay?”

“I won’t back down” I smirked as the now compelled dude went walking off to do as he was compelled. Stefan was worried thinking that someone was gonna get hurt making me sigh. “No, someone’s gonna get mad, as in rage” I told him.

“What’s that gonna accomplish?” Stefan asked. “That Tyler kid is incapable of walking away from a fight. Let’s see who intervenes, maybe it’s the ambiguous, supernatural mystery uncle” Damon told him before walking off.

“He’s right Stefan, they could be anything, and I like to know who I’m living around. I don’t like the un-known” I told him before walking off myself leaving him stood there on his own.

Turns out Katherine went to the hospital and killed Caroline while my blood was still in her system, so now she’s remembering everything she was compelled to forget, and apparently Katherine gave her a message to pass on to us, ‘Game on’ which meant that she was playing dirty, and she was definitely upto something.

Damon wanted to kill her, even bringing up the whole Vicki fiasco, but Vicki was too unstable, we don’t know with Caroline, even if she is a preppy, emotional, selfish teenager, but I had a feeling she was gonna be a b***h, well at least until she manages to sort through her emotions properly.

Damon tried to kill Caroline when he found her after she killed the dude who Damon ended up compelling to start a fight with Tyler, but Stefan stopped him and took Caroline to get cleaned up since she was an emotional wreck with blood all over her.

Damon went off to get a shovel leaving me with Elena and Bonnie who was upset over the whole Caroline now being a vampire and killing someone. “I can’t believe this is happening” Bonnie cried as Damon joined us with a shovel over his shoulder.

“Don’t pout about it, we’ve got a body to bury” Damon told her, Bonnie stared at us both before I bent over holding onto my head, it was one of the painful aneurism I’ve ever had, I fell onto my knees before going onto my side groaning in pain.

“I told you what would happen if anyone else got hurt” She told us. “We didn’t do this” I groaned from the floor, my hands still holding onto my head, I don’t know why because it wasn’t exactly doing anything.

A couple of seconds she let the aneurism stop as I heard Elena ask what she was doing, looking up a little I noticed something liquid gradually make its way towards me and Damon which set on fire.

It went onto Damon’s clothes making him scream in pain before it started to go up my leg. “Ahh!” I screamed trying to put it out but it wasn’t working, but thankfully Elena stopped her before they both walked off leaving us both alone on the floor.

“I hate that witch b***h! How many times does she want to try and kill me?!”
