Chapter 6; They know

Lilly

Damon’s been down in the cell we have in the basement for 4 days now. Stef’s plan was to let Damon desiccate before he put him in the family crypt for 50 years. He asked me to let him out but I refused since I could search for what I needed better.

On the night of the Founders Party I knew Damon went for the soul purpose of getting a necklace he needed, which I was planning to take off him, but now I can’t bloody find the god damn thing. I’ve checked everywhere I could think of, even Damon’s pockets but I’ve come up with nothing.

It was annoying to be honest because I couldn’t do anything until I get that necklace.

Damon tried to kill Zach the other day but Steffie came swooping in being the hero and saved him. If I was Damon I would’ve killed him as well, since Zach had been growing vervain himself, well it apparently had been passed down through the generations, and he also gave Stef the vervain to put Damon down.

I’ve been careful around Zach knowing that he wouldn’t hesitate to try and spike my s**t with vervain, I’ve even gone as far as to lock the chest freezer up that held my bloodbags. I wasn’t going to risk him somehow putting some in them.

Shaking my head to get rid of my thoughts I started looking through my closet for an outfit to wear for the day.

I was planning to go get my car washed at the high school, see what my little brother is doing. I decided on a black lace crop top with some ripped daisy dukes and some black platform high heels.

After doing my hair and makeup, I grabbed my phone and car keys before making my way down to my car and speeding off to the school.

I pulled up in a spot in the school parking lot before stepping out of the car. A girl and a boy came walking over to me with a smile on their faces. As they stood in front of me I connected my eyes with theirs. “I don’t want one scratch on my car, if there is I will rip both of your throats out, with my teeth. And it wants a good clean”

Turning around to walk away my eyes landed on Bonnie who was concentrating on the bucket of water a teenager had her hand in. As the water splashed in the girls face I couldn’t hold back the small chuckle on my face, especially when I noticed the smirk on Bonnie’s face.

Shaking my head, I walked off to go pay for the car wash, my eyes catching Stef cleaning someones car making me chuckle to myself.

As I got to the pay in bit I noticed Elena sat there and a man walking over to her, so I decided to stand back a bit to listen in to their conversation without being noticed.

They talked about how he knew Stefan, but he thought his mind was playing tricks on him, and that he saw Stefan the day he first moved to Mystic Falls and stayed at the boarding house. Their conversation was cut short as a girl called him grandpa and told him her mum wanted him home.

As he walked off Elena stood up following him, and I wanted to know what else got said so I stayed back to listen in. “Hey, sir, I’m sorry. Um, are you sure that the man that you saw, that you knew, his name was Stefan Salvatore?”

“Yes” He nodded his head. “Uh, I remember his ring, and his brother and sister”

“Damon and Lilly?” She asked sounding like she hoped he’d say no.

“Yeah. Stefan, Damon and Lilly Salvatore” He nodded making her look surprised. “When was this?”

“It was early June, 1953. Yeah. June, 1953” He confirmed making her look at him in disbelief.

“Well s**t” I mumbled shaking my head before walking over to pay for my car wash before walking over to Stefan.

“You know brother, seeing you act all human makes me realise that you live on a big fat lie” He groaned before throwing his sponge in the bucket of water. “Not now, Lilly”

I chuckled shrugging my shoulders. “It’ll be a shame if it all went kaboom in your face” He snapped his head towards me glaring at me. “What is it you want Lilly? Is your life so sad that you have to come and ruin mine?”

I rolled my eyes. “Don’t flatter yourself Stefan, I’m here on business, but you might want to keep your eye on Elena. I’ve just heard her have a very interesting conversation with a man”

He looked at me confused before turning his head towards Elena who was stood staring at us both. “Have fun” I winked before I walked off towards my car, seeing they were just finishing up with it.

I didn’t bother to hang about, instead I jumped in my car and sped off to the grill for a couple of drinks, well a couple of drinks ended up been a lot before I decided to go home to relax for the night, but as I walked into the house I realised I wouldn’t be able to relax.

Damon’s bird was on the floor dead and the first thing I thought was that Stefan had took his anger out on the bird, but as I walked down to the basement to go check on Damon, I realised that wasn’t who killed the bird.

Zach was slumped on the floor and there wasn’t a heartbeat coming from him. “Damon” I growled as my eyes travelled to the open cell door.

Shaking my head I walked over to the freezer grabbing myself a bloodbag before pulling out my phone ready to tell Steffie what had happened, but before I could I heard his voice. “Zach!”

I snapped my head to the right to see Stefan speed past over to Zach. “No. No. Zach” He whispered looking down at him. “You know, it’s a shame the family name won’t live on” Stefan snapped his head towards me glairing. “What have you done?”

“It wasn’t me, he was dead when I got here, along with Damon being gone” I shrugged before walking up to the parlour sitting down on one of the seats.

I needed to start looking for this necklace again so I can hurry up and get out of this pony town, especially since Elena was so close to figuring everything out and I wasn’t gonna be staying in town for her to send the council knocking on our door.

Hearing Stefan run down the hallway I turned around towards him to see him holding a stake going to the front door. “He would have fed by now, Steffie” I mumbled shaking my head, but he ignored me and opened the door only to stop in his tracks.

Raising my eyebrows wondering what was going on, I stood up going to walk to the door as I heard someones heavy breathing. “What are you?”

I smirked as I stood to listen to see what Stef would say, pretending not to be here. “What are you!” She spoke louder when he didn’t answer her right away.

“You know” Stefan stated after a couple of seconds of not saying anything. “No, I don’t” She spoke a lot quieter, and I decided to make myself known.

“Of course you do, darling, otherwise you wouldn’t be here. You just refuse to believe it” She looked over to me along with Stefan. “Lilly” He warned just as Elena shook her head. “It’s not possible. It can’t be”

Stefan stepped out of the house putting the stake on the side wall keeping his eyes on Elena. “Everything you know… and every belief you have is about to change. Are you ready for that?” He asked her making me roll my eyes.

“No need for the dramatics, Steffie” I chuckled as I stepped out of the house looking at Elena. “What are you?!” She asked again, but I could see Stef didn’t want to tell her, which just made me want to tell her now.

“Vampires. Me, Stefan, Damon, we’re vampires” She stared at me for a couple of seconds before looking at Stef shaking her head. “I shouldn’t have come”

“No, please” Stefan spoke following her as she walked away from us, rolling my eyes I rushed in front of her. “And where do you think you’re going?” She gasped as she jumped back away from me. “How-how did you do that?” She stuttered making my lips twitch at the smell of fear that was coming off her like waves.

She tried to side step me but I blocked her again, we did this 2 more times before she realised I wasn’t going to let her go. “Let me go” I shook my head. “Nu-hu. You came here wanting to know the truth, well you’re gonna get it, so shut your trap and listen to perfect Stefan over there”

“Elena, there are things you need to know” Stefan started as he joined me but she ignored him and side stepped him, which he let her do before she walked over to her car and driving off.

I flicked my eyes over to Stefan. “If she blabs, I will rip her throat out with my teeth. Fix it Stefan” I warned him making him glare at me but I ignored the look and walked back into the parlour to finish my bloodbag before I headed up to bed.

The next morning I woke up and got changed before I headed out to look for the stupid necklace. I wasn’t going to stay in the house all day and be annoyed by Damon and his new bloodbag – Vicki.

Last night he went and killed a bunch of druggies before coming back home bringing an unconscious Vicki with him, who he decided to heal with his blood like the i***t he is, and I knew for a fact he was gonna regret it sometime soon.

Stef stayed out all night watching over Elena to make sure Damon didn’t get to her, before he came home to get changed before going out to meet her so he can explain everything to her.

I just hope he stops her from going around screaming vampires are back because that wouldn’t end well for any human in this town, there wouldn’t be one left when I finish tearing this town apart.

Getting nowhere with finding the necklace I decided to give it up with a bad job and go look for Stefan to see what was happening with Elena, along with what he’s planning to do with Damon.

I needed more time to find this necklace and the easiest way for me to do that was to have Damon desiccated or at least locked down in the cell.

The first place I checked for Steffie was Elena’s house, thinking that’s who he’d be with. Knocking on the door I leant against the doorframe waiting for her to answer, but when she did she tried to close the door on my face.

Silly girl.

I pushed on the door a little making her step back not been able to hold it anymore. “A little warning, Elena. Be careful who you invite into your home, you never know what sort of monsters they are” I chuckled making her glare at me with tears in her eyes.

Stepping into the house she took a step away keeping some distance between us making me smirk. “Don’t worry, I’m not here to kill you or Jeremy. Where’s Stefan?” I asked raising my eyebrows. “He’s out looking for Vicki”

I laughed shaking my head. “Guess he ended up killing here then” I mumbled shaking my head. “You’ll have to forgive Damon he hates not getting what he wants, but I’m sure she’ll thank him later”

“Why? Did you thank Katherine?” She asked crossing her arms over her chest. “Seem like someone knows the Salvatore’s life story, but next time, make sure you get the full story” I glared at her.

“I got enough, you’re making his life hell because you had some petty arguments back when you both were human” I chuckled shaking my head as I took a step towards her. “Little girl, you know nothing, it wasn’t just some petty arguments, but I’ll let Stefan have it his way. Speaking of Stefan if you see him, tell him I’m looking for him” I told her going to walk out of the Gilbert house but stopped as I got to the threshold. “Oh, and FYI, I hated Katherine”

I sped off away from the Gilberts into the woods to see if he was feeding off any bunnies, but as I looked around I could hear him in the distance talking to Vicki.

I went to speed off towards him when I heard a gunshot, making me stop in my tracks listening out for anymore. “NO!” Vicki shouted making me rush towards them. As I joined them Stef was on the floor, Vicki next to him and Damon was feeding from Logan Fell the News reporter.

“What the hell!” I snapped as Damon pushed Logan away from him and started to take the bullet out of Stef’s chest. “It’s wood” Damon commented as he looked at the bullet he pulled out of Stefan’s chest.

“They know” I mussed as I looked down at Stef. “This is why you should feed the normal way” I chuckled shaking my head.

“If anyone’s gonna kill you, it’s gonna be me” Damon smiled down at Stef “My ring” Damon held his hand out, Stefan sighed before pulling out Damon’s daylight ring out of his pocket handing it over.

Hearing teeth pierce through skin I looked over at Vicki to see her feeding from Logan. “No! No! Vicki!” Stefan shouted as he rolled over. “I’m sorry” She apologised before rushing off.

“Oops” Damon mumbled as I walked over to Logan Fells body seeing something that looked oddly familiar back from 1864.

I picked it up and shoved it in my jacket pocket before I sped on back home. This s**t just gone for 0-100 in like 2 seconds.

They know vampires are back in Mystic Falls.
