Davina the Hybrid

Chapter 22 The First Hybrid.

Jake's P.O.V

After I blacked out, I woke up in my room again, I felt well rested as if nothing ever happened. I sat up and saw Miles sitting quietly at the edge of the bed. "What happened?" I asked.

"Not sure, you tell me what happened." He says. Miles has always been a good guard, he's usually my personal guard when I'm around and sort of my only best friend around here, "My mate has finished part of the mate bond. She mated and marked her partner but I think somehow I stopped her from being marked herself. I think I almost died." I trailed off because that sounded crazy to me. "Can I just have a moment to myself for awhile?" I asked.

"Sure, it's evening now and your dad called to tell you he made it to the island safely and that his trip is going to be short he'll be back tomorrow night. He also said to get a couple rooms ready for a few guests. Oh and I'll get supper ready for you and leave you to it." He bowed and left.

"Thanks!" I yelled out before he left the room. I laid back down and put my hands under my head. So, she marked him, she chooses him after I left, she chose to give herself to him. Pain sliced my heart as the realization kicked in, and I truly hated myself even more now for leaving her, when I was so close to having her heart. I wish I can somehow contact her, but then I got it. I sat up straighter as I realized she had a burn phone, well a couple of them anyway, maybe I can send a witch message to send to her, I grabbed a paper and pen in my drawer at the end table. I quickly wrote down the phone number to my new phone my dad had sent Miles to get this morning. I hope she gets this, but before I can send it, waves of pleasure flooded me, I gasp as I felt pain in my heart again and I grab at my chest and stomach it felt like I was getting stabbed ever so slowly in my heart and my stomach felt like it was getting kicked over n over again... I lay still curled up in a ball in my bed for hours. At one point Miles comes in with my food but I gesture for him to get out. I couldn't move, I was frozen by the pain it caused when they made love. Of course it must be Hardin's doing. He's taking advantage of her heartbreak and the situation she's in. A growl escapes my lips, wait until I get my hands on him, after he's been talking to me non stop about pressuring her into it. Finally everything stopped all at once and the pain faded as if nothing had happened. I reached the paper at the end of the table and whispered the spell that will make the paper appear in Davina's hand.

I smiled as my magical gold sparks burned the paper making it disappear from my hand. I wish I can see the look of shock on her face when she gets it. Now, to eat my supper until I get a call back from Davina, should be any moment. Knowing Hardin he'll probably say it's a trick from Demetri. I rolled my eyes, the guy is one of those phony men who pretend they know better and are better than everyone else.

Sure enough as I was eating my phone rings. I answer it on first ring before even looking at whose calling. "Hello?" I say into he phone.

"Jake?" Her sweet voice says into the phone.

"Hey yeah it's me." I say as I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding in.

"You have a lot of explaining to do." I can hear the anger in her voice.

Which also made me angry as to why she would move on the moment I left. "You have explaining to do also! What was that this morning?! Were you so mad at me that you had to try and kill me! did you not know the consequences of it all!? And how dare you move on to Hardin the moment I leave!" I lost my cool.

"Why did you leave me, why didn't you tell me what you were planning, did you not trust me enough?! I trusted you with everything I've got and you just leave me? Why?!" she cried into the phone. My heart tugged at her crying, "I'm sorry I slept with Hardin but I love him as much as I love you. I marked him but I stopped him from marking me, I wanted to lose it to him, we don't know what our futures hold anymore or that we'll even have one at all. I actually wanted to mark both of you while I was left unmarked." She says.

"What? You want us both to be yours? How's that going to work, I won't share you with him!" Jealousy surged through my body at the thought of sharing her and Ryder Growled.

"Well might as well, since that's what it seems like we've been doing since we found out we were mates. Might as well take turns on me and confuse me even more, so I might as well mark you both." She says on the phone.

Guilt flooded me again, "Look, Davina, I'm sorry, I haven't made anything easy on you since being mated to you. I left for you, to help get you out of there safely so we can all move on with our lives apart or together. I risked my own life for you to have freedom. I am sorry I didn't tell you, I only thought of it when I watched you drive way from me when you didn't wait for me."

"I couldn't wait for you Jake, it would have risked the mission, I would have lost the limo." She says.

"Yeah." I say, "listen, I got my dad involved, I drew maps of the place for him, he wanted me to try and get more information to him that would be helpful, we have a huge army behind us that we may possibly win, but we are low on witches, and Demerti has tons of them."

"Okay I can ask Aria, she knows whose all with us in this fight."

"Great, good, so uh, Hardin huh?"

"Yeah, look, if you didn't run off on me and betray me and lie to me, it would have been you, I'm just tired of holding back, I don't want to hold back anymore. It feels like we will never start our own lives the way we want. I'm sorry that I hurt you, but you hurt me more than once. You told me you wanted to start out without any lies between us the first time we talked in the field back home. Then you hid the most important thing about you from me, you were a wolf, and so was I, I needed a friend, I was so lost and when you showed up, you made me feel something again and that was more important to me than anything, being able to finally breathe when I couldn't before, and losing Hardin the way I did with no answers drove me into depression that I began to not want to live anymore, I was slowly giving up until you came into my life. So the fact that you lied to my face, it hurt me to the core, then, my heart and the mate bond let me give you a second chance to make it up to me. I fell for you, hard, everyday my love for you grew stronger but it came crumbling down on me when you didn't catch up with me when I followed that woman, then it became more painful that you disappeared on me and never showed up, have you any idea how traumatizing it was for me to lose Hardin and then have you to disappear on me like you did and to only find out that you took it into your own plan on getting out of here away from me to find help on your own! I thought we were stronger together, I thought we were a team, I thought I could trust you. You made me trust you then you go and break my heart Jake." She cried into the phone and my own hurt sunk and broke hearing her pain from far away and I couldn't do nothing to help her, "Im glad your Alive and doing okay and trying to find more help, but I don't think I can trust you ever again. I needed you here with me, to help me get through all of this, and you left me alone. But thankfully when I got back, my brother walked in with Hardin who helped me get through all the pain you left me with."

A tear escaped my eye and I wiped it away angrily, "Sure! he sure did help you well didn't he? I bet he couldn't wait until I messed up things so he can make his move with you and have you to himself right? You gave him everything he always wanted, everything you couldn't give me."

"That's not fair, Jake you know how hard this mate bond thing is on me, I can't fight the crave anymore, Jake, I've been getting weaker."

"What? what do you mean? You were fine and getting stronger in training."

"Yeah with the easy stuff, but I'm starting to need more blood than usual, not being marked for so long is killing me slowly" She whispered the last part.

"Where's Hardin?"

"He left me alone in the room to talk to you alone."

"What do you mean you're dying?"

She took a deep breath and said, "I've been coughing out blood in private for a week now, and when I train I use up all my vampire strength which makes me need more blood than usual, and I've been starting not to tap into my wolf, Celine knows it weakens me when she comes out, we told Hardin to only mind link for emergencies only, I haven't told him yet but he feels what I feel now since I've marked him, I'll tell him after I get off the phone with you. I don't have much time Jake, it's why I also mated with Hardin, to give me a little more time, it gave me some strength, but not enough because I need to be marked." She whispered.

My mind started going wild at the thought of losing her and I had to start thinking about different solutions, "It's okay we will get through this, maybe you should let him mark you." I said.

"I can't, not without killing you, I can't make that decision without you both being in the same room. I even wanted to mark you both." She chuckled.

I rolled my eyes, "Yeah, share you with Hardin, I don't think so."

"But you have been sharing me with him already, I mean, it was Hardin who told me to give you a chance, it was Hardin who told me to talk it out with you and gave me the privacy to do so. Plus he also said the same thing you just said, he's not looking forward to sharing me also."

I shook my head thinking I thought I hated the guy but the more chances he kept giving me with the woman we both love, made me respect him even more. How can this crazy love triangle really work? I'm not even sure it will even work at all. I think I'll always be jealous of Hardin no matter what we go through.

"Okay well, just sit tight and let me help, I'll do whatever it takes to get you out of there for good and I'll get you the life you deserve with or without me in it. I don't hate you for choosing him, I hate myself for breaking your trust and hurting you more. Just let me be your friend for now."

She was quiet for a moment, "Okay, life's too short to hold on to hate and anger, You better make it up to me Jake, I'm counting on you and Jake?"

"Yes?"

"Don't do anything stupid, I don't want you to hurt yourself even if it's for me. I still love you so much, I just can't trust you right now."

"I understand, I will spend the rest of my life trying to get you to trust me again one day. I love you Davina."

"I love you." She hung up and I slowly hung up and placed the phone on my nightstand. Then I laid back down. I had no idea that she was going through so much alone and I just left without even realizing how much she really needed me. If only I knew sooner, but how can I have known when I didn't even pay close attention. Hardin is good at knowing when something is wrong with her, the guy reads her like a book. I can't even see things until they actually happen in front of me. God, I feel so stupid for not paying attention to her needs. She should come first, she should always come first. I thought I was doing the right thing in coming for help, maybe I should have just dragged her with me, but then, I know she wouldn't leave Hardin if there was a chance he'd get out soon, which he did. I can only imagine what he'd feel when he finally made it to Derek's and we weren't there anymore.

I made a mess of things with Davina big time, I won't feel better about it until I see her face to face. I hope we can see her again. We will, even if we can't we will fight our way to see her and Celine again.

Your right, for now we wait and see what my dad has planned, and we wait for Davina's phone call again with more information to help us prepare for the battle ahead. Our mission is to take down Demetri's Palace and rescue our princess Davina. I fell into a dreamless sleep, I hadn't even known I fell asleep, all my thoughts were about her and the hurt we kept causing eachother.

The next evening I sat in the livingroom and awaited my dad to show up, I sent him the information that Davina had sent to me this morning. She said she had no time to talk that she had training to go to with Hardin. She said that Derek was still out with Demetri trying to track me down to see where or if I am still alive.

The phone rings I answer, "Yup?"

"Jake it's me." Davina's voice came through.

"What's happening." I asked.

"I'm just calling to let you know that Derek arrived and Demetri has pronounced you dead. Then Demetri handed us an Invitation to a ball for his birthday bash, and my mom also returned and she's been laying in the room since the afternoon, my dad rejected her, she told me she's fine and that she just wanted to rest up after being up all night travelling. Derek says it's normal for her to sleep for hours after missions. Anyway, the Ball starts in 2 days time."

"Alright good to know, I'll let my dad know as soon as he's home." I heard the door click open, "Speaking of I think that's him, call me later tonight?"

"Sure, talk later, love you." she says.

I smiled a little, "Love you too bye."

We hung up at the same time and sure enough my dad strolls in with 4 others with him. 3 men and 1 woman. I stand up and hugged my dad, "Welcome back dad."

"Thanks son, this is my dad Richard and his mate Freya your grandparents and your great grandfather Timothy Craven and his Beta Mark." He says as he gestures to each of them. Richard was tall with a Huskey built about the same size as my dad which made me taller than both, he had brown wavy hair that was brushed back showing the waves in his hair perfectly with a little bits of grey on the sides, he only looked to be in his 40's and Freya looked about the same age as him, but she had straight black hair that had a short cut above her shoulders and she wore some of her hair at the top in a beaded purple barrette. She was a natural beauty with light blue cat eyes and a small curvy nose, she was a foot shorter than Richard. They both smiled at me and I bowed to them in greeting then my eyes went over to the Hybrid Timothy, he was as tall as me with a very muscular built he had on a black suit and his long black hair was pulled back into a man bun. He smiled at me showing his fangs while his eyes glowed gold white. I smiled at him with my eyes glowing golden and I showed my magical aura which showed my whole body glowing white, for hair a few quick seconds and I stopped it just long enough for him to notice. Then I nodded at his Beta Mark who only smirked at me, He was at least a couple inches shorter than me, he had sandy blonde hair and blue eyes with dimples at each cheek that showed only when he moved his jaw a certain way or when he smiled.

"So, I see where my black hair came from." I said.

Freya laughed, "Yes we seemed to have inherited it a long way down the bloodline." She looks at Timothy.

Timothy circles me using his vampire speed, his finger tapping his chin as he looks me over, "A Werewolf, Warlock Hybrid. Fascinating. I've never known another like myself, but instead of being both Vampire and Werewolf, you are both Werewolf and Warlock. Very interesting." Then he paced the room looking around, "I was up at my son Richards island, checking on them when your father happen to show up and I stayed to hear what he requested and I was surprised to hear of you and wonder why you'd been kept secret from your own family all these years." He glared at my dad and he only narrowed his eyes, "But as a father myself, I understand why he was protective of you, as I would be if my own children were also Hybrids, but they are not and they got to live freely wherever they want. They help me and my father Michael keep order amongst us Supernatural. After all what else can I do with my immortality." He says.

"Wait, your immortal?" I asked him.

"Yes, so you can see why I am curious about you." He says. "And of what powers you may possess."

"I only have my magic and my Werewolf stuff, nothing really special." I shrug. "I can't be immortal though, I still get wounded and heal like a normal wolf."

"You won't become to your true power until fully mated and marked." Timothy states. "Who is your mate, your father told me you had one but she also has two males as mates but didn't give us any specifics he only told us to follow him and we will work out a plan together. I also heard of that Forsaken Disgusting Vampire Demetri and of how he's running things, he's getting too close at exposing us and it is against the law to hold humans hostage in our world knowing about us, and also selling them and selling our own woman is absolutely unforgivable and Forbidden. Now, whose your mate?" he asked.

"Her name's Davina Stark she's from the country, and she's half Vampire and Half Werewolf she was mated to myself and another man named Hardin I don't know his last name. He's half Vampire and half Werewolf." I told him.

"Hardin? Where's he from?" He asked quckily.

"He's from the country but lives in town in Banff." I say to him.

"This is the Hardin I know of, couple months back I was crossing through that area with my team of men, I was already tracking Demetri but had lost his trail back then, as I was crossing, Hardin one of my men wanted to stay, but I made a promise to him that he may choose his own future after he worked for me one year, I was the one who turned him but of course to my new men I never truly reveal myself to anyone. But how did I not know about his Werewolf gene.." He trails off thinking.

"I think he was blocked off his Werewolf gene but I'm not sure if he is blocked it yet or anything, his parents put a block in him as they wanted him to have a normal human life and move away from their hometown someday to become a football star." I told him.

"Ah so, his wolf was hidden then my blood turned him which helped his wolf survive then when he gets unblocked the vampire side will take most of the pain away from turning, but he'd still feel it greatly. Now How was your mate made?" he asked then.

"Davina didn't know that she was a wolf, her father hit it on her well not her exactly more like he hid it from his chosen mate, he didn't want her to find out he had another child from another wolf seems like, but her wolf didn't come until her 21 birthday Hardin changed her few days before her birthday and an hour before midnight she changed on time. For awhile I hid from them both of who I was even though she was my mate I saw that they were closer and I kept it to myself until needed." I told him honestly. Why I was spilling my guts so freely was beginning to freak me out.

He smirked, "As the First Hybrid I have many gifts, one is Immortality, Persuasion which I can make anyone tell me the truth, pretty handy for me, another is I can read minds, You don't really have to tell me anymore, I just wanted to test you to see if you'd tell me the truth. which you did because I persuaded your mind to do so, but I also gave you the choice not to but you did freely."

"So, the biggest question you want to hear, since you three are all connected I am guessing it has to do with you three being Hybrids. You have known about it for 2 months now, which only means now that your girl is now deteriorating slowly, but she marked the other one already, that won't stop her from dying, it'll give him enough strength but not her, since it's been couple months, my guess is, she only has a few days left maybe 72 hours tops?"

I felt my heart race at what he said, "So what do we do?"

"Mark her immediately you both need to do it at the same time. There's no way you all would survive without one another. My two mates had to safe my life before. Marianna tried to mark me on her own but then I ended up sicker, then she sent for Katherine and they both agreed to mark me at the same time and then they allowed me to mark them too, We all came into our full power right then an there. We are all immortal. Marianna stayed with me as our love grew stronger and more defined after we marked eachother, but Katherine didn't feel the love as strong she said she loved us both and cared for us but she wanted a different life, we wished her farewell and off she went I haven't seen her in centuries but I know she's still alive. We don't know what happens when or if one of us dies. She also has her own mate, amazingly she was able to mark him as hers and he marked her, but for some reason my mark remains on her also, which made me realize that Mariann and I were destined mates and Katherine and I were soulmates. A soulmate does not have to love eachother as mates do, but all of us are connected through this strong bond."

Mouth open at everything he tells me I only nod automatically shocked at what he just told me, so Davina was right, we both had to mark her but only one of us would be her true mate. "So, you all knew once you've all marked eachother of who was true mates?" I asked.

"Yes, which I know will happen to all three of you, after marking you all will fill complete and all confusion gone, that is why you guys keep messing things up so horribly you aren't in sync with eachother as you should be. If anything that I've learned over my years of living is, Always trust the mate bond, Our Goddess does not make mistakes. By going on as long as you'd did is only questioning our goddess and doubting her."

"Alright good to know, thanks." I said.

My dad clears his throat, "So since his mates life is at stake now for not being marked for so long, maybe we should get battle preparations in order?"

"Ah yes, I have some of my men already on their way and some are already here staying in the nearest hotel. Richard?" he turned to his son.

"Yes father, I have witches coming in tomorrow and will be ready to take down the boundary spells and shields."

"I should mention that my mate called before you all walked in and told me that Demetri has invited everyone in the Palace to a Ball in celebration to his birthday." I told all of them.

"Ah what perfect timing, to kill him on the day he was born." Timothy Chuckled, "I am sure Hardin will be surprised to see me, I was upset a little that he chose to leave my side, he was an excellent fighter and very loyal." He commented which made me growl because Hardin met my great grandfather before me.

"That Jealousy amongst Wolves are funny. If other men wanted my Marianna, I'd allow them the freedom of looking or even talking to her without jealousy except I feel pride at them knowing she is mine and marked by me and she is untouchable and they know it. It's a compliment to me when any man tells her she's beautiful because she is, speaking of, she's on her way also, she said this is going to be the biggest battle I ages and the biggest bust of all time because like I said, we've been tracking him for years and have been trying to find his location but thanks to you my boy we finally have him." He growled which shook the entire house. My eyes widen, geez this dude is scary.

"Come to your dad's underground wilderness, I'll show you all something." He says as he heads for the elevator.

We all follow him and my dad shrugs, indicating he doesn't know what he's planning. When we reached my dad's forest like basement we all went and stand around Timothy who told us to back up so we did about 10 feet away from him. Just like that before our eyes he turned into his Primal Werewolf he was even bigger than Davina's white wolf, he was grey like the moons craters with bits of white in his fur, he had glowing golden eyes and he stood about 10 feet tall with long wolflike legs standing up on them with long arms and claws extended out. Then as quickly as he shifted without hesitation he was back to normal then he smiled extending his fangs as his body began to grow again up to 8 feet tall and his ears grew pointy and his face morphed into a scary beast with huge golden eyes were shadowed with dark veins protruding out moving and larger fangs than usual and his claws were extended, more slimmer and sharper looking than the wolf form. He hissed which pierced our ears sharply making us all flinch back then he laughed and turned back into his natural form.

"I just turned into my Primal wolf form and my Primal Vampire form and for me to switch back and forth effortlessly took time for me to get used to. Does your mate transform into her primal vampire form yet?" he asked me.

I shook my head, "No, we didn't know she can do that."

"She will learn on her own time. Now that we know all that, we can get to work on this plan, and do it quick, once we get in, you Jake will have to meet with her and Hardin and you both have to mark her quick if you want her to live." He says.

"Alright, I'll let her know, I am expecting her call back anytime now." I tell them.

"Well let's get back upstairs and set these maps and the witches whereabouts together to better see where we're going. We have a long two days of preparing now. Tell your mate what I shave shown you and told you, remember the Goddess does not make mistakes. Her gifts to us is given with promised reason." He said.

"Alright, I will, thank you. I'll tell them."
