Chapter 23 Planning.

Davina's P.O.V

I've been in contact with Jake and was surprised of everything he had to tell me tonight now I have to go and tell my mom, Hardin and Derek the news. After my mom was rejected she just needed a lot of rest she slept for 15 hours straight and has finally woken up feeling as if she had the best sleep she thought she'd never have, she's more herself than ever and more relieved and less stressed out looking. My dad was glad she was fine, which means he can also finally mark the woman that's been waiting years to be marked.

I made my way to the living room where Hardin had my favourite cup of French Vanilla Cappuccino was already waiting for me on the coffee table, I sat on a armchair by myself while Derek and Aria sat together on the couch across from us and Hardin on the loveseat next to my arm chair.

They all looked at me expectantly waiting for me to begin. I take a small sip, cleared my throat and said, "Jake's father managed to get help from his father Steven and his mate and from Richards father Timothy Craven." I said.

Everyone's eyes grew wide as i finished, their mouths left open as shock of the information I just gave them. Hardin was first to speak, "Wait, you said Timothy Craven??! As in my old boss?!" His voice squeaked at the end.

I nodded, "Jakes family yes, Timothy is Jake's great grandfather, who had twins named Richard and Sarah, Richard only had one son named Steven who is Jake's dad." I finished with my eyebrows raised taking a sip of my caffeine.

"Wow." Hardin muttered sitting back in his seat.

"That's impressive." Derek said.

"He's right, very impressive they're the most powerful beings on this planet." Aria says with wonder.

"Yeah and he told me that Timothy is a Hybrid." I said which then again made their eyes pop and mouths gape open.

"How,?! I worked with him and he only ever showed he was a vampire." Hardin asked me.

"Apparently he always hides the werewolf part of him from everyone, only unless necessary he reveals himself fully. Also he can turn both Primal werewolf and vampire. Oh and he has special gifts he carries and he's immortal. Oh! and he told Jake about the mate bond! Turns out I was right!" I spilled out everything fast with excitement. I was more excited about that the mate bond mystery has finally been solved thanks to the First Hybrid. I squealed as I bounced and clapped my hands on my seat.

Hardin smiled at me adoringly and Derek raised and eye brow looking amused, and Aria just looked at me like I lost it and she looked confused. "What was that again? And please explain from the beginning." Aria said slowly while I calmed down.

I took two deep breaths from feeling giddy and I said, " Timothy the Hybrid can turn Primal Werewolf and Primal Vampire forms, he's and immortal and he also was mated to two people at the same time and Jake explained to me all about it. He said that Timothy was mated to a werewolf woman named Marianna and a vampire woman named Katherine, When he mated both, He had to be Marked first by both woman at the same time for it to work, he tried before with one of them but saw it was hurting the other woman and himself so he took the chance to get marked by both. Then he marked both woman." I said smiling.

"Yeah then what happened." Hardin was leaning in listening.

"Turned out he was Fated to both woman but do a different reason from each woman. One was his Destined Mate while the other was is Soul Mate. He explained that a Destined Mate is someone you spend your entire life with While the Soulmate is someone you can choose to spend your life with but is more of a best friend than anything, there's love there still but not that of Destined Mates." I explained.

"So what happened to his Soulmate?" Hardin asked.

"His Soul Mate was able to move on with her life and Mate and Mark someone else but his mark remains on her, it's like their lives are tied to eachother for all eternity which is how they've all became Immortal. She comes back from time to time with her mate and family and visit for awhile and they also go visit her wherever she is, he still loves her and turns out Marianna also loves her too. They've come together for years when needed and they'd fight together. They've won thousands of battles and wars together throughout Centuries. He also said that after being marked they figured it out right away who they were suppose to be with, and who was the Soul Mate to both actually. Turns out Katherine was also Marianna's Soulmate too." I shrugged. "Timothy also looks up to the Moon Goddess big time, says that she never makes mistakes and that we must not go against her when it comes to the bonds. He said we have a choice to reject but we'd always get second chance mates. Also, Jake just told me that Marianna and Katherine will already be in the city nearby tonight to be ready to fight on his call. So, Jake has agreed to mark me if your up for it too Hardin. Plus if you don't I'll probably die in 3 days or less." I looked down nervously at my hands winding my fingers together.

"Wow, that's a lot of information on the mate bond." Aria said.

"Yeah, I'm just glad I haven't ran into my mate, she'd be a huge distraction and that's not what I want right now, thank goddess I haven't even met her because watching this going on with my twin is stressful enough. No offense Davina." Derek shakes his head.

I smile at him, someday he will run into her and I hope it's easier on him than it is on me,"None taken."

"Okay I'll do it as soon as Jake gets his a** over here the sooner the better." He says.

"Well, they attack in 2 days, we'd have to look for him during the battle." I say.

"What?!" Aria stands up. "They're attacking during his party? That's in two days! Ice got to get my people ready and prepared! I'll be back just before the Ball starts. In case we don't see eachother again." She hugs Hardin surprising us all, and says, "Take good care of my daughter, make sure she leaves when things start." Then she hugs Derek, "I love you son." Then she takes me in her arms, "I love you Davina."

"We love you!" We all yelled at her as she walks out the door always on a mission that one.

"Well then, this will be a fun fight." Derek grins and Hardin high fives him, "Can't wait."

I fold my arms across my chest, "Really?"

"What? I've fought in battles before, it's fun." Hardin says innocently.

"Believe it or not I've only done the simulation type battles and training all my life growing up here, be nice to finally kill a few vampires and werewolves for a change and I know exactly which ones I'll be going for right away. " Derek smirked.

I rolled my eyes, "And yet, who is a trained Assassin?" I challenged.

Derek only looked away avoiding my eye contact because I had beat him a few times when training. Hardin sat up straighter a smile growing on his lips, "I dare you to take me on."

I smiled, "Alright at tomorrow's training then."

"Alright your on." He reaches over to take my hand in his, we both shook on it.

Derek smiles at us, "This I've got to see and no taking it easy on her either Hardin even though she is your mate."

"Never." Hardin says.

"He's not like Jake." I say.

Hardin looks back at me, "Why what happened with Jake?" he asks.

I glanced at Derek who says, "One of the guys yelled for Jake and Davina to have a one on one, which is normal at training we take turns fighting on the staged matt to see where we need work and more training, when it was Jake and Davina's turn, Jake back tapped out not wanting to hurt her."

Hardin laughed and said, "Well I won't back down."

Derek, " We'll see."

"Alright so now what are we going to do about Demetri." I look back and forth at Derek and Hardin who both dropped their smiles.

"So you said they will be attacking in two days time during the ball?" Derek asks and I nod, "Okay we will all go to the ball for an hour or so until things get rolling and people get busy, we will all leave early, but we cannot go all at once." Derek looks at us.

"So, I think, Davina should leave first." Hardin's jaw clenched and I can feel his anger through my marking him that he didn't even want me there to begin with.

"It'll be hard for her to leave, you don't know this Hardin but when Davina was captured along with you all, Demetri wanted Davina as one of his Brides, but I bought her, making him think I wanted her as my choose mate, but then I broke things with her and told him she is free from me and free to date whomever. I had to wait until she was of more importance to him, so she became his Assassin, now because Jake left, Davina is his newly trained Assassin next to Aria, he will be expecting her at the ball and I know for a fact, that he will try to persuade her again which means his eyes will be on her for awhile making it difficult for her to leave. As for me, I am free to leave early, he knows I hate big crowds and always expects me to have my full energy in case things turn wrong, because I'm the one who also has command over his warriors and soldiers, he wouldn't care if I leave. He'd be expecting Davina and Aria to stay and observe people and warn him is any mishaps. You however may be the first to leave. You have to leave and come straight here, we can't have you lingering around because he has eyes and ears all over this place and if they suspect you lingering you'd get reported to him and ruin the surprise attack Jake and Aria has planned. Don't worry about Davina, I'm sure my mom has a way for her to escape. She has a huge group of witches on her side one of them can cloak her." Derek said.

"Alright, for now we wait for Aria to get back to hear what she has planned." I say nodding.

"Yes, once shes done warning everyone that's on our side." Derek says.

"Hold on, is she telling every single person what's going on? Doesn't that even seem risky to do? Considering one of them can be a spy for Demetri or one of them can which sides at the last minute and tell him the plan that the attack will be happening?" Hardin asked looking at Derek.

Derek shrugged, "Either way, Demetri is always prepared for fights or battles to go down, he's always paranoid, Especially on special occasions he's always more than prepared. Which is why he needs me outdoors watching carefully and ready to command protection. I will have to act in command until more people are fighting."

"I'll call Jake again and take pictures of you both and of Aria when she gets back, so he can show Timothy and the rest of what you all look like so their men won't attack us and I'll ask for a signal when they break through." I nod.

"Good idea, Davina hadn't thought of that." Derek agrees.

"It's why we have to work together here because we will all be dressed the same and will look like we are on Demetri's side." I told him.

"Well not really dressed the same I mean, you and our mother won't, Demetri expects his Assassin's to blend in and all women attending must wear dresses." Derek says.

I raised my eyebrows, "How the hell am I supposed to fight wearing a dress?"

"You'll have a few hidden weapon on you." Derek says shrugging.

"Maybe wait for Aria to see what she says about dress code as she probably went to tons of these before as his only Assassin." Hardin suggested.

"Yeah be best to wait for her, instead of just assuming." Derek agrees with Hardin.

"Okay for now, stand over there you two and I'll take a quick picture." I pointed to the wall in the kitchen where there were no picture frames up just a white background and the lighting in the kitchen was brighter. The stood beside eachother Hardin was a bit taller than Derek and more muscular in size. They both fold their arms flexing their muscles with straight serious faces, I smile and take the picture quickly on my phone, "Okay got it thanks, I'll go call Jake."

I went straight to my room and called Jake and he answered Immediately, "Hello?"

"It's me, I wanted to send you a picture of Hardin and Derek so you can show it to your family before the attack, so they know what they look like. I'll get one of Aria when she gets back also." I told him.

"Okay great but we also need one of you too, you do know that right?" Jake says.

"Oh right, okay, yeah, I'll do it right away." I tell him. "I'll put you on speaker while I send them.

"Okay." He says.

I quickly press speaker phone and sent him the picture of Derek and Hardin, then I opened up my camera and faced into selfie mode and took a quick one of me with a small smile and then hit send. "Okay done, just gotta wait for Aria's picture later." I put the phone back off speaker and into my ear.

"Alright yup my phone got them thanks. So uh, Did you find out which witches are on your side?" He asks.

I shake my head before realizing he couldn't see me do it. "No, maybe when she gets back she'll tell us. Listen, we are all going to be attending the ball but Derek told me it will be hard for Aria and I to leave once it starts, Hardin and Derek will be able to leave it early. In the mean time, Demetri will be keeping us close for his protection, we have no idea what to do about that when you all attack." I told him.

I can hear him sigh, "Well, okay, I'll talk to Richard, my dad, and Timothy about that part, phone me back later tonight same time."

"Okay talk again, I love you." I told him.

"Love you." Jake says before hanging up.

I hang up and destroyed the phone with my own hands, crushing it while the metal and plastic cracked and exploded in my hand as if it were a piece of clay dirt that I had crushed instead. I cleanup the pieces that fell to the floor and sat on the bed.

I put my hands over my face sighing heavily rubbing my face, and I put my hands down and laid back on the bed just staring at the ceiling. I can already feel the stress and anxiety of the upcoming battle coming up. I wish I can go for a run with Celine, so we can take a load off and so she can finally get exercise. Not being able to be let out for 2 months has not been doing good on her, she's anxious, and is starting to get aggressive when the littlest of things gets us angry, she feels trapped. Like yesterday when Hardin was annoying me with his steady tapping on the end table while I spoke to Jake. I grabbed his hand squeezing it in my grasp while Celine growled viciously making our claws come out. It was Derek who pulled my hand from Hardin's hand then Hardin pulled me against his chest smelling his scent playing with my hair which immediately calmed us down. Celine is ready to break free and run, I know when she finally does, she won't give me back control for awhile, and that's okay. If we can fight our way and beat Demetri and save as much people as we possibly can and then run all the way home I totally would. But by going to the city, we found out we are 4 hours away from home in the wilderness of Western Canada. Home.

I closed my eyes missing it, and I found it hard to picture it fully, all I can see in my mind are the trees, the rivers, the beautiful mountains behind our farm, then thats where it stops, it hurts to much to try picture it all. Hopefully in a couple days we can finally go home. It's been way too long now. Celine whimpered in my head and I wiped a stray tear that fell from my eye. Crying about it won't help, all I've been doing is crying and so far it hasn't helped. I just can't wait to get started actually doing something else for a change.

Tomorrow more training, and I get to combat with Hardin, my wolf Celine howled in excitement for that, at least there was something we were both looking forward to. I sighed again and then headed back out to the living room, I'm getting hungry again, I can tell because I was already feeling tired and it wasn't even evening yet.

"I'll call in a human." I say and I went to the door where intercom was and I pressed the button to downstairs, "Send two please."

"Yes Ma'am." The woman who looks after the food in this mansion says.

"Two?" Derek raised and eyebrow at me.

I shrugged, "One for me, and one for Hardin." I know I told Jake that I will tell Hardin of what's been happening to me lately but I didn't. Only because we had a war to go to in a few days and I need Hardin to focus on that instead of me for now. We will worry about me later. Getting out of this place is what matters more. We are fighting for our freedom, and what's the point in worrying about my health when we might not even win. It's all a 50/50 chance. Besides, I'll be fine as long as they both mark me in two days time.

Now it was Hardin's turn to raise and eyebrow at me, and Derek nudges me with his foot, to my shin, making me jump, "What?" I yelled.

"Your hiding something Davina, I can see it in your eyes, plus you keep twisting your hair in your finger." He eyed by hand and I caught myself twirling my hair around my finger.

I put my hands behind my back embarrassed I was about to answer when the two people I ordered came in when Derek answered the door. They sat at the kitchen table waiting patiently. Hardin grabs my arm and pulls me to him, my back hitting his chest as he breathes down my neck sending Sparks and shivers down my spine and whispers, "You'll tell us as soon as they leave."

I sigh and nod my head as he let go of me and we chose each human and sunk our fangs into them. "Gross." Derek mutters and walks away to turn on some music so he doesn't have to here us sucking the blood from the humans.

I hadn't realized how hungry I was until my teeth broke through a vein and blood pooling in my mouth while I drank hungrily. I kept drinking, feeling it giving me more energy. No matter how much I drank it was not enough. I needed more. I kept sucking out the blood letting it fill my body. I can hear the humans heartbeat slowing down, panicked about running out, I kept hold of the human and the human gasped and starved trashing in my grip. I held them tighter growling with hunger. Then I finally heard the anxious voices drifting through my head, telling me to stop and let go. I growled some more wanting the voices to stop. This is mine. This blood belongs to me. I need it. No one is taking it away from me.

Then strong hands on either side of my body was trying to pry my hands free of my feeding. I stop for a quick second to push whoever was pulling at me, maybe they wanted my human. I heard the wall crack and saw them falling away from me. I pushed the human behind me ready to fight off whoever was grabbing at me and trying to take my claim. I let out a vicious hiss, so loud I hardly recognize it was my own.

Then Hardin stands up in front of me with his hands up in defence. He was breathing hard which made his delicious scent hit me hard, my mate, my love, my best friend. I took a deep breath and eyed Derek who was standing up slowly from the floor. Then I noticed the other human standing in the corner with a scared expression on their face and he was looking at me with so much fear, I flinched. I blinked several times before I turned to look behind me at the girl laying on the floor passed out blood seeping slowly out of her neck and onto the floor.

I gasped and backed into Hardin and his arms went around me, "It's okay Davina, I got you, she's okay, you didn't kill her, your going to be okay." Hardin whispered.

I felt myself calming and when I calmed I began shaking u controllably. I lost control. I can't believe I lost control. I almost killed her. I can't believe I didn't listen to Hardin and Derek when they were yelling at me to stop. I should have known. How did I lose control like that. I even attacked Derek and Hardin. I even scared the other human still hiding in the corner, their heart hammering loudly. I closed my eyes listening to Hardin telling me to breathe. I sucked in air and my throat felt hot as I gulped. I took in another breath, each time it got easier for me to breathe normally.

After what felt like forever, I finally was able to calm down completely and I stopped shaking. I relaxed into Hardin's arms and leaned my head back onto his chest. He turned me around to face him and held me. I clutched him and just breathed in his scent again, calming me even more before looking at him again.

"There now, I've got you back." He says wiping my hair from my face. "It's not a big problem, I lost control on blood lust a few times, it gets easier. You just gotta eat more often to get better." Hardin says he looks over to Derek and gives him a quick nod.

Derek goes behind me picking up the passed out human and gestured with his hand for the other human to follow him, they left us in the room alone. I looked at Hardin who only smiled sweetly at me and he kissed my forehead. "Come sit down with me, I'll give you a water."

He grabs a water bottle from the fridge and hands me one as he grabs one for himself. I go and sit on the loveseat with him and Derek came back in after 10 minutes of silence. I cleared my throat they both looked at me, I might as well tell them the truth, "I'm dying. According to Timothy my body is slowly shutting down. My vampire side getting weaker and becoming hungier, my wolf getting weaker, hence why she's always sleeping and when awake, she's not in a happy mood. As for me, I just feel tired all the time except I get more energy from drinking human blood. I've also been coughing out blood. Timothy said by my symptoms, I'll be dead in three days or less, depending on how much energy I waste." I say and Hardin reaches for my hand, "I have to be marked by both you and Jake soon, and I'd have to mark the both of you as soon as we can even get together or I die." I avoided Hardin's gaze, I already felt what he was feeling though me already marking him.

"How come you didnt say anything sooner?" Hardin asks sounding angry.

"I only found out lastnight." I told them.

"And your just telling us now?!" Hardin yells and I flinch back as he stands up and walks to the door.

"Where are you going?" I asked.

"Going for a run, Kal needs it." He says over his shoulder.

"You can't!!" Derek and I shouted at the same time.

He stopped in his tracks and growled and hit the door once with his fist. "I hate being trapped!!" He roars shaking the room.

"Celine hates it too, but in two days we have to wait. It's only two days away Hardin, we can make it." I say to him, "Come sit back down.

He turned and came sat down and grabbed my hand then, "If you only have just 3 days to live let's just make the best of it."

"Well, he said I could die sooner even, he said two to three days tops." I told him.

Frowning he says, "We gotta attack then earlier than that."

"How? The ball is tomorrow night." I say, "When Demetri is most distracted."

"Is there a way to push it to start earlier?" Hardin asked looking at Derek.

Derek shook his head, "Can't, too early and too soon to come up with an excuse to push it to start early, Demetri would be too suspicious."

"Well then what should we do about her situation?" Hardin asked.

"Well, you did say her other mate used magic to escape the water he fell into." Derek looks at me.

"Yeah, he teleported." I say and my eyes go wide and I looked at Hardin and Derek. "I'll call him and see what he says."

I get up to run to the room when I forgot I already had broken the other phone I used. I skidded with my feet on the floor in front of my door and turned back around and ran to the living room and said, "I already used up that phone."

Derek reaches into a drawer on the side table next to the couch then tosses me another burn phone. I catch it and ran back into my room quickly dialing Jake's number I knew by heart, he takes awhile to answer it making my heart pound in my chest with worry. "Hello?"

"Jake, is there away you can teleport to me quickly so you and Hardin can mark me?" I asked him hopeful. He goes quiet for now and my heart skips a beat at his quietness, "Jake?" I asked into the phone.

"I can't Davina, Timothy gave me strick orders to not use my magic and has found a witch who is teaching me to let it build in strength over a few days of rest. I can't go right now, I'm sorry." He says.

"But I'm dying Jake." I choke out, "I almost killed a human after feeding for a few minutes. I hate how I feel and what I've becoming. "Are you sure you can't come?"

"I can't, Davina, it's too risky, if I teleported there now, my magical aura will vibrate through the area in a 50 yard radius, the other witches would be able to sense the source of my magic and they'd be able to track it to your location, we can't risk it. I wish I can help you but I can't risk us winning this war with Demetri. I promise I will come find you the moment we get pass the borders in two days. Just hang in there, and stay at Derek's, don't go to training, save your energy until the ball, Timothy says to keep drinking human blood every 6 hours and drink blood bags in between, you'll last until we get there. I promise I'll find you." He finishes, "I love you Davina, but I gotta go now, Sorry." He hangs up.

I throw the phone across the room breaking it instantly and Hardin comes racing into the room the moment I started crying again. "What happened?!" He shouts.

"He can't come. It's to risky the witches here will know and track him. He said he'll find me in the battle. Hardin I'm scared, would if you both don't find me in time during the battle." I cry into my hands, horrified. "I don't want to die!"

"Ssshh, You won't die, I'll make sure of that, if he doesn't show in time, I'll mark you myself. Just gotta tell me when I'll do it." He says to me running my back.

"Alright, if he doesn't show, it'll just be me and you." I told him while I leaned my head on his shoulder as he kept rubbing my back gently.

"In two days time, everything will finally change." Hardin says.

"In two days time, I may be dead, or not." I say.

Then he Whispers, "I won't lose you."
