THE MANDRAKE'S TEARS

The battle was now over, Jeremy has quit flying around, he was now on the ground looking at the damages the Minotaurs has caused. Every fairies was mourning their loved one, the soldiers gathered around their leader who sacrificed his life for his daughter. Crane turned and saw Jeremy, he dashed towards him and pushed him blaming him for all that happened, he continued pushing him till he fell to the floor. he made to attack him but Jeremy raised him hand indicating him to stop but instead, the ring glowed and a wave of energy threw Crane away. Crane got up and replied;

"this is where you're powerful, but against the miniatures, you are useless. you only flew around celebrating what only you know"

he turned to Chance and said;

"you stand sureties for him, you too Diana and now that has caused us our leader; your father. I know from on set this boy is up to no good".

Chance stood immediately in Jeremy's defence and said;

"this kid ain't our problem, our troubles started when we let our guards down and was partying when we know our territory is not secured. he tried to warn us but we didn't listen. Now what we should do is to increase our defence at the shield, appoint our new leader Diana, scout our home to ensure no other enemies is hiding behind our wall. Then quit blaming the kid".

Diana stood up and all the fairies kneeled before her, one of the council members took her father's cloak and covered her. he then asked her for her first speech as the leader. she said;

"this is no time for speech, we just lost our loved ones. Just as Chance said, we should carryout perimeter patrol; then mourn our loved one".

the council member turned to the masses and shouted;

"you have heard her, the queen has spoken "

Diana looked at Jeremy and he mouthed that he was sorry. Diana turned and left while Jeremy left feeling dejected.

Jeremy ran to the field and screamed; he tried removing the ring but he couldn't because the ring was stuck. He dashed to a huge rock and started punching it until it chattered into pieces, he fell to the floor crying. immediately, something sting him and he fell unconscious, the goblin stood on his feet and chuckled. He started dragging him to the boundary.

Diana was in her room when he heard Jeremy's scream, she decided to ignore it but couldn't, she left in search of Jeremy, she from afar saw him punching a rock, she decided to go back but on second thought, she waited behind. the she saw Jeremy passed out, she thought it was fatigue but realized it's not when Jeremy body started heading to the boundary slowly. she realized something was wrong and change to a tiny fairy and heads there, when she got to Jeremy, she saw a small goblin dragging Jeremy to the boundary, she waved her wand and two shrubs grabbed the goblin on both pair of limbs, raised it up and tore it into two. She then took Jeremy to his chamber.

Jeremy woke up and saw Diana beside him. He apologized for what happened later back in the day. Diana started asking him why he did what he did, Jeremy then revealed to her that he doesn't know how to use the ring. He revealed that he only put the ring on and allowed it to do the rest. Diana then revealed to her that it wasn't done like that; that to use the ring properly, you must make a wish. she revealed to him that the power he uses all this while were Ares basic power, that to explore the ring; that you must make a wish why putting it on.

She took Jeremy to the field to practice with the ring. Jeremy explained to her that he can't wear off the ring which makes it impossible to wear on, she suggested that he just rub the ring and then make his wish. Jeremy closed his eyes and rubbed the ring, when he opened them, he was just as small as the fairies with butterfly's sprouting out of his back.

Diana taught Jeremy how to fly with the wings, they flew around the garden for hours before heading to Diana's chamber. Jeremy suggested using the ring to bring back Diana's father but she went against it. she said that the power of the ring doesn't work like that because it has limitations which one of them is bringing the dead back to life. she made Jeremy understood that since she's the new leader; they won't be able to spend much time because she would be having more responsibility. after that, Jeremy decided to dedicate himself to guarding the shield in order to ensured no creatures from the other side got in. He promised Diana that he will support her with everything in him.

The bell rung for Diana's father burial, she got up and left while Jeremy choose to patrol the boundary since every fairy must attend the burial.

Diana father was place on a flowery boat with other victims that lost their lives in the battle. they were dropped on the lake while the boats sailed them away. All the fairies raised their wands and it started sparkling, at the same time, sparkles started falling from the sky. after the boats have departed; they all went back to their adobe quietly.

Darca from his castle watched how the goblin was tore in half, this got him infuriated, he turned to Lydia and said;

"these people are getting on my nerves, I can't take it anymore. Is about time; we use plan B"

Lydia replied her;

"I thought this is supposed to be plan C because B just failed"

He shouted at Lydia to keep mute.

" shut up woman, if you don't know what to say; why don't you make yourself useful by gathering ingredients for the mandrake's poison... the fairies expected the tear of the gods to mourn their king; let give them the tear they will never forget".

he went to a giant pot on the center of the room, lit it with fire and then pulled some mandrakes out of a flower pot. The mandrakes roots screamed and he casted them into the pot and started stirring while Lydia recites a spell repeatedly.

Inside the ring where the trolls buried a mandrake root started fuming, it emitted dark smokes that all went straight to the sky forming a dark cloud all over Ezra.

At night, all the fairies stood outside waiting for the rain. the believes that when their king dies, the gods cry and their tears will wipe out the pain of previous leadership, and will water the ground for a new leadership. Jeremy didn't see any sense with such practice so he left them.

when it was about midnight, all the fairies raised their wands in invocation for Zeus tear, at the same time, Lydia was recitibg her spells while the pot was fuming. immediately, lightening struck in the ring with a heavy wind. not long after, it started raining. There was a heavy downpour throughout the night.

The next day, Jeremy woke up to see the ring in terrible condition. All the fairies were suffering from fatigue which has never happened since Jeremy's stay inside the ring. He flew to Diana's chamber and was heartbroken when he saw Diana also in the same fate.
