TWENTY Steel and McCall sat in one of the conference rooms. The long table was filled with the files they had on the three men who had escaped and the two victims. They hoped that somewhere one of the escapee’s history intersected with the two Vic’s. McCall was still convinced that it was a revenge killing. The accident could have been just that – an accident. However, it gave one of them a chance to get out and get even. Steel picked up one file, which was almost two inches thick, and sat down opposite the door.
