The tale of Chu Qie

I looked at the gloomy sky and sighed inwardly, the sky is like my mood right now.

"A dark cloud has parked above your head," commented g*n Liu Hyun while stealing the food in front of me.

"Who wouldn't! All of a sudden that darn ex-husband suddenly came into my room pack my things and brazenly said that I must come with them to visit the temple of Yan Wang! The way also going to this temple lurks with negative energy making me wanna puke!"

"Aye Lady Chun jokes your just jealous la... Because look at them," he pointed using his lips at the two men who were riding in the horses, one with domineering aura while the other was alluring.

Irritated I threw a kick at him.

"Wanna try walking to the Yan Wang Temple!?"

However unexpectedly I heard growls and swords clashing.

"g*n Liu Hyun, I think we are being attacked!" I panicked for my child.

He turned serious he summoned his whip then hurriedly he slashed it to the incoming hell walkers, a creature who escape from the tenth hell. They look terrifying, skin so burnt until the flesh looks disgusting, they breathe out the smell of rotten corpse, their claws were brandished with blood and their eyes gleamed with murderous intent!

He pulled me out of the carriage while Kang Zue and the General were busy exterminating those vermins. But it seems we are quite out-numbered.

"Chu Qie, run towards this forest and hide, I'll find you later," g*n Liu Hyun instructed. I wanted to help them but I know it is not safe for me here, especially now that I am carrying a child.

Nodding I hurriedly ran away not looking back. But it seems I went into their lair due to the twist and turns of the forest because before I was those hell walkers crawling and surrounding me.

Summoning daggers I pierced it in their bodies, then cut them into two. I waste no effort in piercing them like pin cushions for my daggers. However, they were becoming more scary because their bodies started to be pulled away and were being glued and intact, forming a bigger Hell Walker!

A pei* my intuition says.. Run!!! I hurriedly ran away like crazy. I turn left, right, left, right, I am darn powerless right now because I have stepped in a place full of negative energies. You see, my powers always come from positive yang energy. Talk about bad luck.

Furthermore, the monster seems to have immortal flesh like mine because the attacks I have done has no effect.

I hurriedly hid behind an oak tree. Gasping and out of breath. I slightly took a peak if the monster was still following me.

I stilled when I heard growling and stenched of the corpse permeated in the air. I held my breath and clutch my hands. Summoning a destructive magic circle just a step before it. I waited patiently since this is my only last chance. I may be able to take down his other leg after that I'll run and look for them.

When the monster steps on my trap I happily squealed inside. i***t! With a flick of my finger, a loud explosion happens taking down his right leg. Then I run for my life again.

I am so desperate right now because not only was I on my weaker self, I am also carrying a child and behind me is a dangerous monster wanting to gobble me up. So who in their right minds would not be desperate!

I look around trying to find g*n Liu Hyun. However, I ended up on a cliff, the irony. And don't tell me.... What's behind me is the monster!? Ahh~ spare me, my little legs are tired right now! The bushes were shaking as if anytime the monster would emerge.

My heart was beating non-stop, I hurriedly held a broken branch. When an image emerges I closed my eyes and attacked it. I felt it dodge my attack then it went behind me! I pivoted then slashed again. When it suddenly held the branch I used my left foot and kicked it. Then switching my right knee I aimed for its body. However, I trip on my hanfu and I ended up falling.

I hurriedly protected my tummy and waited for the hard ground but instead, a warm body caught me. Then I heard a grunt... Don't tell me its g*n Liu Hyun! I opened my eyes and found it is no other than the hateful General! Why is he the one always appearing when I'm in a pinch!

I hurriedly stood and patted my clothes. I was about to question him when the gigantic Hell Walker appeared! Reflexively I pulled the General up then used him as a shield.

His eyebrows cringed when he saw how I behave. Then summoned his twin long swords. The monster roared and the putrid smell of corpses made me wanna throw up.

The General tried to block the fast attacks of the Hell Walker, which in my eyes were so fast that I could not predict where and when is its next attack. However, we were being pushed back and just three steps behind me is the cliff.

The General saw an opening and used his qi to s***h the monster into bits. Finally, the monster is gone. Well then, I got out when a swishing sound of an arrow is aiming for the General moreover it is laced with a terrifying qi.

I pulled him away but alas the fool has a bad footing that he cannot even steady himself making us fall on the cliff. He protectively held me while the winds were whirling and whistling in my ears.

"i***t why do you have a bad footing!"

I screamed while holding his other sword then pierced it to the cliff. He took over and use more strength which prevented us from falling.

I could feel his embrace becoming tighter, I felt happy for no reason at all but wait a minute why is it becoming tighter I can't breathe!

"Oi~ hurry and use already the swor---," I stopped midway when I saw his pale, teary-eyed and flustered face.

"Mai Cui, don't tell me your..." He looks at me, "Afraid of heights!"

Aye for the love of gods and goddesses, how can we leave this cliff! This deity is stiff as a statue! Moreover, the sword can barely hold the two of us.

"i***t then close your eyes la!," I instructed which he gradually did. I look around and just below us, on the right, there is an opening of a cave and a good shaped land, that could be used as our landing.

However, he needs to let go of the sword and use his qi to create a barrier for us. So that we could land smoothly.

But... I look at him, his face clearly depicted fear.

"Mai Cui just close your eyes and listen to my voice okay," I gently said to east ease his tense and stress mind. "Fifty kilometers below us to the right there is a cave. And we could land there. Now let go of the sword and create a barrier."

I thought he would listen to me but he was deaf due to being frightened. How come this man looks tough and even flew using the demon horse during our journey. Or is he afraid not from heights but from something else?

"Mai Cui, if you don't let go, we will really be swallowed by the abyss just below us!" still none responsive.

I am itching to slap him, however, it wouldn't help. So I gently held his cheeks.

"Don't be afraid just swing us on the right and don't open your eyes. Just trust me," finally he did what I told him and we landed safely on the ground. He opened his eyes and look around us while he breathes out in relief.

A downpour suddenly happened that I nearly wanted to scream in distress.

"Aiya, Chu Qie your life is full of miseries" I mumbled many times while walking inside the cave and kept shaking my head while sighing.

Am I really the daughter of the god of luck? Why am I full of rotten bad lucks?!
